Food is always so good! Be prepared to wait awhile though, even though you order at the counter. The butter & jam bar has fun flavors to try like sweet potato butter.

While dropping off at the UPS store I came here for breakfast. First time here. Ordered at the counter. Cashier was friendly. Had a bowl with scrambled eggs, avocado. Sliced tomatoes, spinach and avocado, chicken sausage with potatoes and cheese. It was pretty good but the sausage was completely cold! Coffee was good. Cute spot. Want to bust at 9:45 am. Want worth 25.00 but if filled my tummy so I guess that was good. Thought it came with a biscuit but I guess it didn't. Wanted to try one. All in all it's decent.

Egg white omelette with Side of Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuit.

Traveling on business, I needed a breakfast spot near my hotel. Vicious Biscuit was close by opened at 7am so it was an obvious choice. The menu is heavy on Biscuits and Protein. As a vegetarian, my options were limited but I was happy to order an egg white omelette with tomato, onion, spinach and avocado. The omelette was cooked well and the ingredients were fresh, but seasoning was non-existent and I needed to find salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. I also ordered a biscuit and breakfast potatoes on the side. The biscuit was ok but, in contrast to the eggs, it was too salty. The breakfast potatoes were deep fried and not enjoyable. Staff are friendly and the space is clean. Coffee was very good. 3.5 on the Yelp scale but rounding up because better use of salt could fix most of the problems - that and finding a way to NOT deep fry the potatoes.

We've been to other VB locations and this one just didn't cut the snuff. There were lots of tables that had not been cleared and my biscuit breakfast was served lukewarm. Additionally, the sausage gravy had separated and it was disgusting! See my pics. I'm not one to return food because I'm always worried what the kitchen staff will do to a replacement, so I just dealt with it the best I could. That said, for the price of 13 dollars for a biscuit sammich, there's no way they should've served me what they did. It was totally obvious it was gross. We won't return to this location. Big disapointment compared to other VB locations.

First time coming here. I loved the food. I thought it would be similar to Brunches where you are seated and served but it's more like Chicfila where you go to the counter and order and then they bring your food to your table. We went at 1:45 in a Saturday and we were only 1 of 3 groups of people there. I liked that it was very quiet and not busy.

Food is so good and the portions are large. I can never finish my biscuit! Try this place out if you haven't

Iced chai!

This is the first meal in a while that has truly impressed me with every aspect of dining out! I was not happy to see a long line this morning, but it moved along pretty efficiently and I never felt like it was overly crowded or busy. There was ample seating both inside and outside available so the crowds never felt overwhelming or unbearable! The woman who took my order was upbeat and pleasant and didn't seem phased by the line of people. She answered clarifying questions such as what is cowboy candy without missing a beat! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and an iced chai. The chai was served in a mason jar and cinnamon was sprinkled on top, nice touches added to a refreshing beverage. The Shrimp and Grits were OUTSTANDING!!!! The biscuit, the grits, the gravy and the shrimp were pure perfection! It was plated nicely and I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not being able to polish it off completely but it was a good portion size(I think I left 2-3 bites of biscuit behind but otherwise pretty much cleaned the bowl). Sadly I didn't get to sample any of the jam or butters bc my biscuit came slathered in stuff so, I will simply have to rerun some other time! A manager also stopped by the table and we had a pleasant exchange! Keep doing what you're doing, I can't wait to make this a regular stop when I come to the wrightsville beach area!

The Babe: Buttermilk biscuit, smoked pulled pork, Vicious bacon (sweet with some heat), Carolina Gold BBQ and Jalapeños cowboy candy!

Always love coming here and today I tried a new item, The Babe! And of course, always have to get the beignets! The line can be long at peak times, but it moves along pretty quickly. The service there is great, everyone is so friendly. And of course, the decor is just so cute to look at, they've done an excellent job. And it's great that they have indoor and outdoor seating. The places also able to accommodate large groups, I would probably recommend calling ahead though just in case. So if you haven't been, you gotta go!!!

The Belgian Sweet Potato Waffle and fried chicken.

Decided to try this place for lunch. It was prime lunch time, and almost deserted. Walking in the door , it smelled wonderful. It gave me time to check out the large menu and decide on what to have. So many options , biscuits, to eggs to waffles and more. I decided on a Sweet potato Belgian Waffle and fried chicken. It came with a honey mustard sauce and maple syrup. I placed my order and was given a table number to display. Waited just a few minutes and out came lunch . The waffle was warm and crisp . Had great flavor and went well with the maple syrup. I tasted the honey mustard, and wow was it spicy. I kept to the maple syrup. The chicken had great flavor , perfectly fried, went great with the waffle. They do have a "butter bar" that had numerous butters to use on your biscuits. I will return and try out a biscuit next time. If the restaurant is crowded, it will be noisy.

Came here for breakfast after our sprint triathlon and this really hit the spot! Lots of parking available outside. Very easy ordering inside and then you bring your number to your table. The menu has many different biscuit and bowl options. Had to wait in line for about 5 minutes but not very long for a Saturday morning. The inside and outside have many seating options. We sat out on the patio and it was lovely! We ordered some mimosas and they came out very quickly. The orange juice was very fresh! I ordered the fat boy and loved it! Hot honey was delicious and chicken was big and crispy! Biscuit was very yummy. The jam and butter bar inside is also very fun! The price was good ~$11 for the biscuit sandwich. I was so full afterwards! A lovely experience!

We had hoped to surprise my wife, but she figured it out the night before. Wm was just as disappointed as I was, but stayed in touch throughout the planning process and made sure everything still went smoothly. The attention to detail and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Our server, Jeffrey, was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and never intrusive. He kept everything moving at the perfect pace and made our entire table feel well taken care of. Our group ordered several different dishes, including the Arthur Ave. beef rib sugo with cavatelli, the Cacio Me If You Can house-made spaghetti with mushrooms, cheese, pepper, and pine nuts, and the Rural Swine featuring North Carolina pork. Every single plate was excellent. There wasn't a bad meal on the table. The wine selections paired beautifully with dinner, and the complimentary olive oil birthday cake was a thoughtful touch that ended the evening perfectly. The restaurant itself deserves recognition as well. The atmosphere is elegant without feeling pretentious. I especially appreciated the warm, darker interior with exposed brick, comfortable seating, and a welcoming feel. It has character and feels inviting rather than the typical bright white subway-tile bistro that so many restaurants seem to imitate today. The dining room was comfortable, the bar was beautiful, and even the restrooms were spotless and well maintained. Seeing the AAA Four Diamond awards displayed made perfect sense after experiencing the restaurant firsthand. Most importantly, we spent a wonderful evening celebrating my wife's birthday with good friends, and Manna provided the perfect setting for those memories. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

It's sort of Italian and sort of steak and sort of a little bit of everything. Really clean, strait forward , reasonable menu, nice ambience. It feels kind of high end but the pricing is definitely mid range. I selected the tomato basil soup as my appetizer. It came with a nice toasted crustini. It was a really good soup. It tasted fresh. It had a lot of body to it like, maybe they did the tomatoes here in the house from fresh. It was definitely tomato. The basil was kind in the background, but it was a true red sauce. It was almost tomato paste or tomato sauce flavor. I would've not complained if they given it to me over a bit of penne.. It had a really nice flavor on it not too sweet not too acidic really a very good soup. It came out in a footed coffee cup so you're getting about one cup of soup. The main course was the broiled seafood platter. It was anchored by a large piece of mahi-mahi, that was amazingly well prepared, firm and tasty. To the side of that was a wonderful crabcake, one of the best I've had anywhere and definitely the best in the Carolinas. It did not have too much breading and it had a wonderful texture with lots of good crab flavor. Drizzled across all of this were scallops and shrimp. The shrimp were a little overcooked if you asked me. The scallops were sweet and perfect and everything you would want them to be. The side that comes with this is their crab fries which essentially our beer battered french fries dusted with old bay seasoning. If you've ever had the crab fries at the Philadelphia, ballpark, this is the way they do it. For dessert, I ordered the lemon cello mascarpone cake. It comes drizzled with raspberry sauce. I had visions of lemon curd, and what I got was really good and really lemonade and good cake. But it's not a very big slice. I know about the weight staff. I don't know if they're all good, but mine was exceptional and lovely to talk with. The place was very busy. It had a nice vibe to it, it could've been in South Beach or Miami or Los Angeles, not that it was over over the top just that it was very clean and nice and well done. This is a professional restaurant not some amateur attempt. I recommend it.

When we've come with friends or larger groups, the service has been much more mediocre. The first time we visited, one of the waitresses was surprisingly rude when I asked about vegetarian options. All she said was "salad," despite there being multiple salads (2 out of the 3) on the menu, including a Caesar with anchovy and a wedge salad with bacon. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and was much more helpful and respectful. I'm not sure why vegetarian requests are sometimes treated like an inconvenience or unusual concept. I'm married to a huge meat eater and enjoy going to places he likes, but I do wish vegetarian guests were met with a little more patience and understanding. Especially when I am the one paying the bill. The atmosphere is loud and busy, but they are generally accommodating. For larger parties, they require a credit card to hold the reservation and give a limited grace period, with a fee of around $15 per person for no-shows. I understand why restaurants have policies like this, but it felt a little unfair considering we still had to wait around 15-20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. If guests are expected to strictly follow time slots, I think the restaurant should also try to hold themselves to those same standards. It also took close to two hours for our food to come out, and we repeatedly had to ask for smaller things like water or hot sauce. I completely understand that larger parties can take longer, but we were a group of seven, which didn't seem unusually large. Overall, the food and atmosphere keep us coming back, but the consistency in service could definitely be improved.
