Hash brown omelette with spinach, mushrooms and feta.

I was in the mood for diner food for breakfast, and Vicki's definitely fit the bill. The atmosphere was light and breezy, the service was absolutely impeccable and the food. Well, it was more than I could eat in one sitting... Almost. I had the hash brown omelettes with mushroom sausage, spinach and feta. It was delicious. Vicki'sis definitely a breakfast. Stop when you're in Saugatuck.

Yummy desserts and pastries at the counter.

A cute diner in a strip mall. Went a little past morning rush and had no wait. Food was simple and good. I had the all-american breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. Husband had the eggs Benedict, which he enjoyed. All was delicious. Only downside was the coffee, which was super weak and very watery. Three dreamers, my usual, and the coffee was white. Service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely go again.

    Greasy gloppy hollandaise sauce

We are vacationing here from TN. Stopped at this place, and I ordered Eggs Benedict. It came to me swimming in greasy gloppy hollandaise sauce. Like completely covered the plate. I just stared at it when she brought it to me. She knew something was wrong but her only concern was if I wanted hot sauce. I ordered apple juice, she brought me orange juice. Had to ask for a separate plate to scrape off most of the hollandaise sauce. I started to mention the problem, but she cut me off at large plate or small plate. Large plate or small plate. Very curt. We live out of state; we, of course, will never be back.

Nice little diner feel to the place. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was really good. It's worth the stop if you're in the area.

Stoped in for breakfast while in town. This is your average strip mall diner/eatery. Waited about 20 minutes for a table which was appropriate for the amount of people waiting. Food was ok, nothing impressive. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was appropriately priced. Would be a decent place to grab a good portioned breakfast.

The weather was perfect, upper 70s, calm, and inviting, and the 4 tables on the sidewalk were empty. We sat down and waited, but after several minutes with no acknowledgment, it became clear we might need to check in. My partner went inside and spoke with two hostesses, asking about sitting outside. She was told there were no tables available, despite the sidewalk being visibly empty. When she pointed that out, the explanation shifted to "we aren't serving outside." That would have been perfectly fine if it had been communicated clearly from the start. After that interaction, things only became more uncomfortable. She got me and we approached the hostess stand together (I was with my hearing dog), and despite there being no line, we were left standing there while both hostesses focused on their iPad and did not acknowledge us for an extended period. It felt dismissive and unnecessarily awkward. Eventually, we asked to be seated at the bar, which was mostly empty, and were waved over to find seats ourselves. The bartender was lovely, but by that point, the experience had already left a sour impression. As we sat there, we watched others being greeted warmly and with ease, which made the contrast difficult to ignore. We ultimately decided not to stay for food. We couldn't make sense of the difference in treatment. Wasit was my trained service dog? The fact that we are a same-sex couple? Or something else entirely? Whatever it was the experience left us feeling unwelcome. The issue wasn't that the outdoor area was closed; it was the dismissive service that followed. A little attentiveness and courtesy would have made a big difference. No one wants to feel unwelcome while on vacation.

Incredible food that I'm Gibbs dream about for a few more nights yet. I had the walleye, my fiancée had the pot pie (called something else on the menu; I forget exactly what). She only didn't finish hers because she eats like a bird, but I finished hers even after I'd inhaled mine. I came even describe the flavors (except to say the horseradish mixed in the potato top of the pot pie is inspired!) I will just say that each bite hit the sweet, savory, and salty notes just right all at the same time. Can't forget to mention: the service was lovely. Our server was very kind, personable, and relaxed, and she offered us great recommendations, and boy am I glad I listened. I can't recommend this place enough. I hear the James Beard nominations may be snooping around, and they'd be right to.

We rave about this place to all of our friends every year because the food is superb and the service has always been excellent. Unfortunately, today's breakfast experience completely tarnished that reputation. We were so excited to be back and ordered a full breakfast, totaling over $75. I ordered the Penny Royale Breakfast, but when I tried the sausage, it just wasn't to my taste. I politely asked our waitress if I could swap the sausage for bacon instead. To my absolute shock, her immediate response was a flat "No!" She informed me that she would not swap it because "everyone likes our sausage here" and insisted it was just a "preference thing" because they use high-quality goods. She refused to take the sausage back or accommodate the swap, stating she could only put in a separate order for a side of bacon that we would have to pay extra for. In all my years of dining out, I have never experienced such rigid, dismissive customer service. For a restaurant we love so much, it was incredibly disheartening that the staff wouldn't accommodate a simple request to keep a loyal customer happy over a piece of breakfast meat. We ultimately chose not to press the issue further because we didn't want to completely ruin what had been a peaceful morning, but the interaction left a terrible taste in our mouths. We always tip generously in cash, but today we intentionally left a minimal tip of $2 on the credit card to reflect the pathetic service. It is incredibly disappointing when a place with so many things going for them forgets that hospitality and accommodating guests with such a small request is just so important Later the same day after posting my message above on Yelp the manager responds as you can see below. In response I'd just like to say that there is no need to justify poor customer service. And a customer should not feel bad for not liking something. We are all paying customers and we should pay for the things that we like and not pay for the things that we don't like simple and easy. I just hope you do better for your customers in the future.

Walking in we were immediately redirected because we didn't notice the please wait to be seated sign that was outside of the door. It would be nice if the sign had been a little more visible or if we had been redirected more kindly. We were sat immediately and even though I tend to hate high tops, the chairs were sturdy and comfortable. Between myself and my friends we ordered the grilled ham and cheese, the nutty salad, and the burger (with cheddar, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, and mustard). We all loved our food and it came out quickly. I ordered my burger medium-well and it was cooked perfectly. Our server was attentive and made sure to refill our water frequently. At the end of our meal they gave us little cups of animal crackers, which was just the cutest touch! Overall loved and would totally return and recommend.

We grabbed seats at the bar, and the place was full of locals which honestly tells you everything you need to know right there. And not just full... but full of the nicest people. The kind of place where you feel like you belong within five minutes. Now let's talk about Jimmy... WOW. Absolute rockstar behind the bar. Not only was he making amazing drinks, but he was also doing his best to convince us to ditch our dinner reservations and stay honestly, he almost had us The drinks were so good we ended up coming back later that night for dessert... because clearly we weren't done yet. But here's the part that got me I casually mentioned it was my birthday weekend, nothing big... and the NEXT DAY while we were walking around downtown, we look up and there's my name on the marquee wishing me a happy birthday.
