SUPER!!! LOVED! The pumpkin pastelitos, that's right, pumpkin, not guava, were OH MY GOSH!!! The pumpkin cheesecake flan was so good also. The merengue was in a cup & very tasty, super soft in the bottom & a tiny bit of granular crystals around the side. Cuban bread disappears quickly, starts flying out the door at 6am.

Order was wrong, I went back to get my right order. This is the pan con lechón they gave me...

    Pan con bisteck old bread

I just purchased a pan con bistec to go. It took them less than a minute to prepare it. I just opened it in my house. The bread is from yesterday and the steak was also from yesterday. They charge a lot of money for what they serve. I will never go back

They barely said two words to me, never smiled or talked to me, and had earbuds in one ear so I don't know if they could really even hear me. This is not scooped ice cream, it is cream frozen with nitrogren and then toppings added. It was not cheap. I paid over 7.00 for a small dish of ice cream (with preset toppings - key lime cheesecake). The ice cream and toppings were decent but nothing to write home to mom about. I get that most minimum wage workers aren't going to be super happy but maybe pay your employees a little more to retain them and set expectations to deliver a good customer service experience. Most people don't need their arse kissed but hope for a pleasant exchange while paying for their food. Reading the reviews here, it seems like terrible service from employees is an on going issue. Easy parking, decently clean restaurant.

We sat down at our table and then the place filled up. Talk about timing! I saw crab cake Benedict on the menu and knew I had to try it. I was also interested in the Lobster Benedict but they also had a lobster omelette so my husband agreed to get the omelette and we would share so we could try both their omelettes and the Benedict. He got their breakfast casserole for a $2 up charge and the waitress said "oh, good choice," so we were both excited to see what that was going to be like. I ordered the grits with cheese. Our food came out in a timely manner and we enjoyed our coffee while we waited. The staff were great about keeping our mugs filled at all times. The food was served and I really enjoyed the crab cakes Benedict. The grits were just ok. Even with the cheese and butter, salt and pepper I added it was just bland. My husband liked his omelette. We tried each others and I think my pick won out. I will say his breakfast casserole was delicious! It had so much flavor. Definitely worth paying the extra couple bucks for imo. My friends all commented they enjoyed their food. They had some breakfast sandwiches and egg meals. We liked that they brought our check with a seashell on top. One of my friends was hoping we could keep them. I thought it was a nice added touch. We won't run back here but certainly would eat there again if we were in the area.

They had a hilarious kids menu and the one meal my daughter ordered was the "I'm hungry". She was indeed hungry and she did eat the whole thing. We came between 7:30 and 7:45 am and we were the only ones dining in house. They did do a few takeout orders while we were there, as well. I got their corned beef hash with one egg and hash browns. I'd recommend the hash browns which were very good over the grits -- which were a bit too runny. The corned beef hash was not one of the better canned varieties -- I'd skip this. But the egg was cooked exactly as requested. The biscuit was huge!! More like a small loaf of bread. My husband got the all American breakfast with two eggs (poached), grits, and ham. The ham was just okay. The eggs were good. And the grits were loose. He also got the biscuit. Service was good. Food came out fast. But as we were the only folks there, I guess that is not saying much. I'm glad we came. Now we know.

Most of the ingredients are local and house made, and some of the produce is grown onsite or nearby. Their coffee drinks are smooth and inventive (tarro root latte, anyone?) and there are SO many items on the menu one could visit multiple times a day for months without even beginning to tire of the options. After much review and deliberation I ordered an acai bowl - unmodified, which comes standard with vanilla almond granola, strawberries, bananas, pineapples, and toasted coconut. My dining companion dressed hers up with almond butter, chia seeds, and coconut nectar drizzle. Pricing is reasonable for house made, vegan magic, and there is plenty of outdoor seating in the shade, perfect for settling in to enjoy one's chosen delights. I do wish they offered self-serve water, rather than just bottled water, as it would be nice to save a little plastic. Other than this one wrinkle, Seaside Eatery is hands-down a must-visit vegan dining destination.
