I order via uber eats The eggs were undercooked instead of over-hard, and the fries were greasy and not fully cooked. The packaging was also improper, with warm pastries mixed with a cold dessert. I contacted the bakery, but they refused to remake the order or provide any credit.

Do you want a tasty pastry? Are you looking to satisfy the sweet tooth? Then this is your spot. I will drive the 25 minutes whenever possible just to come here and get my guava pastelitos .

Stopped by this Vicky Bakery last Saturday after my annual eye doctor appointment. Found in a shopping center, parking is ample but difficult to find during prime hours. Given that we were there around 10 AM, yep - that qualifies as prime hours for a bakery. Standard bakery with plenty of sweets and a ticketing system. Staff is welcoming and ordering is a breeze. I do have to say, however, that given others of this chain, options are limited. They don't have oven-baked empanadas except for cheese ones. That was my understanding anyway. Apparently, one lady had no idea what I was talking about and another did and said that this particular Vicky Bakery tends to fry empanadas. At any rate, my fried empanadas were tasty. Ditto with the croqueta and the café con leche. Food is no problem, staff isn't either, but the lack of options and the cramped feeling I had at this location is, hence why this Vicky Bakery gets three stars from me.

While other Vicky Bakery locations have topped on review rating, this actual location lacked in excellence. Totally disappointed! From the parking to the food quality. This Vicky Bakery is actually in a good area, right in between Miami Lakes and Hialeah. Upon arrival, parking was a total chaos. Several other businesses are in the same plaza so parking gets hectic. It took my wife and I sometime to find a parking spot. At any event, we entered the place, we grabbed a number and had several people waiting. It looks overcrowded since the place its narrow. The lady that attended us was somewhat nice, but I sensed she had a bit of frustration on her which I could understand. We ordered beef pastelitos, guava pastelitos, which tasted not fresh at all. I ordered a natural squeezed orange juice, and it taste like water. Wife ordered a pan con bistec, but for the first time ever, she didn't finished it, she told me it tasted not fresh. And i ordered a media noche, which also tasted not good, low quality ham and cheese. The only good item was the pan cubano. This location needs to step up. Its very likely I will not return to this location again.

At 2:30 we came to this place and an old lady looks like they don't want to work cause she said they're was no Iced Coffee, no Grilled steak sandwich and no Media Noche sandwich, she said it tooks a lot of time to make it. We only got a Torreja ‍ I think the customer is important for any business so they should be more polite and take the orders cause we wait a lot.

The best Cuban pasties I've ever had! I've tasted many from different bakeries over the years but none come close to these right here. I love how sweetly consistent their glaze is saturated throughout their pastelitos and how soft they are with a little carmalized crunch that melts in your mouth. The meat, cheese and guava pastries are all incredible but I love the cheese and meat pastelitos the best. Their ham croquettes and beef empanadas are also terrific. I love this bakery!

The owners should really hire more employees as a 45 min wait is not acceptable. Next time I will go to Baby Bakery.

I woke up in Hialeah and counted the days remaining until we sailed for Havana. "Too many," I…read morethought, and, rolling out of bed, continued my hunt for south Florida's best Cuban pastry. After checking Yelp for "pastelito" and "most reviewed" I settled on a popular bakery, BreadMan Miami, which was conveniently, if counter-intuitively, housed in Hialeah. I called for an Uber. My driver, Julian, picked me up, and as we left my hotel, he double-checked my destination and, with solicitude in his voice, asked, "Breadman, hmm? Have you been there before?" I told him "no" and that I was trying to hit a few Cuban bakeries before leaving town, to compare their versions of pastelitos de guayaba y queso. Without criticizing my choice, Julian spoke enthusiastically about Palm Springs Bakery. It wasn't like he was selling, so much as that he seemed lost in a dream of baked delights and was anxious to share his reverie. I had no skin in the game, and before I die, I'll have plenty of chances to fulfill my mission - to sample all of the pastelitos sold in the greater Miami area - so I thought, "Sure, what the hell," and changed my destination to Palm Springs Bakery. When I walked into the shop, I knew it was my kind of place: simple and busy, smelling of yeast and sugar and Maillard reactions, its front lined with cases full of still-warm baked goods that fogged the glass protecting them. I quickly found what I'd come for, and then was tempted by things that I didn't know I wanted, until I saw them. Besides my pastelito, I chose a Venezuelan-style tequeño, which is guava paste and queso blanco wrapped in pastry dough, then fried. And because too much is never enough, I also bought a spongy yellow cone-shaped cake dipped in sugary syrup, called a "capuchino." Julian had come inside with me to pick up a snack. I asked if he knew a nearby spot where we could eat our breakfast in comfort (there being no seating at Palm Spring Bakery), and he suggested that we stop next door at La Viña de Aragon. He said knew the owners, and that they wouldn't mind if we ate there if we ordered some coffee. I agreed. The folks at Aragon were accommodating and their coffee was excellent. More about that place in different review. Palm Springs Bakery's offerings were good, but not great. My pastelito was delicious, tasting of butter and tropical fruit, but its pastry was damp and tough, likely made so by its time in the sauna. The tequeño was nicely-prepared, but it wasn't my favorite thing, as, in my opinion, guava paste didn't help the plainness of the queso blanco, as I'd hoped it might. The morning's treat was the capuchino, which looked delicate but was as dense and sweet as rum baba or your heavy-handed aunt's tres leches. As such, it made a wonderful accompaniment for Aragon's strong cortadito. I should also note that capuchinos contain no coffee. They're called capuchinos because of their resemblance to the hoods worn by Capuchin monks, and their syrup's flavored with cinnamon, lemon, orange, and anisette. You'll find them wherever Cuban pastries are sold. Palm Springs Bakery has been a neighborhood fixture for decades, and, for my money, it's just ok. I think it's one of those places that you love if you grew up loving it. As I've said, I have no skin in the Greater Miami bakery game, so my search for the perfect pastelito continues. ********** BreadMan Miami: https://www.yelp.com/biz/breadman-miami-hialeah-2 La Viña de Aragon: https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-vina-aragon-hialeah
