So I went to have some pads done and right off the bat noticed a bit of scratching from uneven pads. It was light and few and far between so didn't pay it to much mind. Got a flat and decided to do it myself. Took pictures of the washer positions and such with the fenders and dropout. Come to notice it's way off. Mind you he was to only person to work on this. Go to the manufacturer webpage and watch their service video. Notice he completely whatever's the washers and fender just slapped them on there. To boot. Releasing a nut revealed shavings. On my model there are two separate size nuts on the back axle. This 420 dullard just jammed them in, completely oblivious. Do not come here. Inept and incompetent. Actually damaged my bike. Few people deserve a review like this. read more

Vic's a cool guy once you get him talking. He's trustworthy, patient, and hardworking. He goes above and beyond with his repairs, inspections, and installations. You need your brakes tightened? You'll be leaving with some fresh brakes and your chain greased (never thought about that until he did it all free of charge). He won't sell you anything unless you need it. I went in thinking I needed the tread, tubes and gears replace but he said everything was in perfect condition. This was a special project of mine where I converted a mountain bike into an ebike. He just needed to perform his tune up, secure the motor to the frame (he actually had to reinstall the motor because it did it wrong). All that and complete updates on the bike each time I called. And to top it all off he insists on walking the bike out for you (probably helps to prevent clumsy customers from knocking over his bikes, but still), and he even taught me his preferred way to load a bike into a car. he explained his thought process for each step and he got it done. Had sold a bike to Vic's bike shop once before (it was a perfect simple student bike) so I'd met the owner before and saw he was down to earth and cool. For the people type of person and nice. I got a amazing deal on a 2016 GT Carbon Grade Ultegra but it needed a slight tune up. It'd sat in a garage for over a year and had only been ridden twice by the second owner. I dropped it off at Vics and it did take a few weeks to get it back because of the influx of people rekindling their love of bikes. The bike also needed a rear brake bleed. I picked it up and it was all good but the back tire still had a small and slow leak. I brought it back after the pickup and they fixed the valve leak issue. Really nice local owned business , no they don't do bike or cleat fittings but others do. They know me now, I've been riding her for the last month and had no issues. Very smart riders/bike ratchet peeps and good vibes. I'll be bringing it back to them for an every 1000 mile rim true and and other issues I might have that I can't fix myself. So I recommend Vic's Bike Shop but not if you're in a hurry for a major repair or tuneup. If you're in a hurry bring it to another shop, pay more money and get it quicker. If you're on a budget and have the time then bring it to Vics. The also listen and will help you answer any questions you need answered. read more

Vic's Bike Shop is an awesome little bike shop by Cal Poly Pomona. It took me three visits before he actually charged me for his services. Twice I came in with flat tires. Both times I fully expected him to charge me. But, both times, he told me it wasn't necessary. On my second visit, he told me that I should "tune up" my bike that is rarely used, for my next visit. I told him that I recently had knee surgery and that I wanted to bike more. He pointed out a couple of things that needed attention like the brakes, the lopsided handlebar that Dick's Sporting Goods installed, and rough gear shifter. He told me to be careful. A few crashes later and another flat tire later, I brought the bike in for a tuneup. He cleaned the bike, fixed the shifter, adjusted the brakes, and installed a new tube for my tire. I'm pretty sure he did some other things. I'm glad he finally charged me on my third visit. I'm a happy customer. read more

I always come here for my bike maintenance. I was recently here to get a fork installed and they did a great job. You can't beat the prices, but it's usually very busy so the turnaround time for something like this was about 3-4 days. Friendly staff who are willing to talk to you and explain what your bike needs or doesn't need even when they are busy. I've been to a bike shop in San Dimas who's employees made me feel like they couldn't spare their time for a paying customer and that's why I'd rather drive further out to come to Vics Bike shop. read more
