Amazing! Brother Sister a new concept but same owners as Vic's! Same quality of food and service. Same big back patio that is dog friendly and covered. We had the Mtown Smash and Marina Sunset cocktails which both were recommended by staff and were great. We ate the ribs, shrimp Po-Boy, chicken "karate" and a side of fries. Only remembered to take a picture of the chicken karate and fries though. We finished every bite of food, it was delicious. The shrimp was fresh, NOT fishy and was cooked perfectly, NOT rubbery. I recommend all of the dishes we tried. Everything was reasonably priced and a good happy hour menu. Will be back!

Came here after seeing their Instagram that they were back up and running under a new name and I was not disappointed! We stopped by for lunch around 1pm. It's typically a window ordering service, but it was slow and they did table service for us. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend's mom had the fish and chips. My sandwich was loaded with avocado, a sauce, onion, and lettuce (I opted for no tomato). Those fries were thin and crispy, just the way I like it! Her fish and chips were MASSIVE and easily a serving for 2 people. I'm so happy they are back open. I can't wait to try more items on the menu and even their cocktails!

Cool spot o have a beer and a bite. The menu is simple and not overwhelming. We ordered the Panini Crispy PorK Belly and Fries. I wasn't so excited after taking my first bite only because I like it crispy. Flavor wise is was good. We also had Shrimp and onions fried called shrimpen bidness which we both liked. Serving size on both plates is enough and priced okay. The inside is small but has enough tables to fit small parties. I loved the outside dining area it is big enough for larger parties. Overall experience is good but o will try a different sandwich. . 3 stars for me deserves a return and try other things.

This was the old Vic's but the same owners. I'm not sure why they changed because Vic's was pretty popular. There is no more waiter service. You order at the counter and get a number to bring to your table. The grilled chicken sandwich is pretty standard. The sweet potato fries are yummy. The ranch dressing is bottled and blah. My coworkers enjoyed their salads. It's a casual place with indoor and outdoor dining.

We were greeted at door and told we could sit anywhere. Seating available inside and outside. Since it was rainy and cold we chose to be inside at a cute corner table by the windows. A server brought water and menus to our table inside and let us know to place order at the counter when ready. The place is very bright, airy and open inside which I liked. We decided to share the crispy belly pork panini with fries and coleslaw along with an appetizer of shrimpin bidness. The food came out shortly to our table, hot and fresh. They even split our panini onto separate plates for us which was greatly appreciated. So the sandwich was just ok because there was no crispness at all sadly. Had a great taste but would have been so much better if the meat was actually cooked crispy. The fries, slaw and appetizer were delicious. Hubby and I were just disappointed with the panini though. Would come and try other things in the small menu which makes things so much easier and not feel overwhelmed. They have drinks available too and many sounded good.

When we got there the line was less than 5 minutes. Terrific outside seating. Funky vibe, painted in Caribbean blue and yellow pastels. Lots of very good food ...large portions... and "take out" boxes.

Food was delicious, could eat this everyday. Food came out fast, wish I could have gotten a refill on my soda

We were invited to the soft opening of Brother Sister by Vic's Martinez yesterday. GREAT news for everyone, they officially open on Wednesday at 11:00 AM! Their hours moving forward will be Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 AM to 8 PM. The menu showcases new dishes and some old favorites from Vic's. We feasted on a loaded butcher block pizza, steak frittes, fish and chips, skins game, chicken karate, and my new favorite sammich, the pork belly panini....OMG, so good! The new Brother Sister has a more casual vibe; grab a menu, order at the counter, and take your beer, wine, or cocktail to the beer garden or a table inside. The menu has been scaled down, and they will not be serving brunch at this time, but there are plenty of delicious selections! Vic's now offers cocktails including the Tweak-Tini, Refiners Marg, Muir Mule, M-Town Smash, Marina Sunset, and the Strawbee-tini. I love the Martinez play on names! And the best news of all, Rosie and Lourin will be back during the evening hours! I may have to head back Wednesday evening for some Rosie time and a pork belly panini! They give you a little extra baguette on soups and sandwiches, being a bread lover, that's a plus (though I shouldn't be eating all the bread). Service is okay. Just along the main strip of town, this place is busy. We stopped by early morning just a little after they were opened. Even mid week and there was a massive line already forming. They must be good. There's two entrance, first being the main where the front door is. Patio seating available along the sidewalk. And then the back entrance where the majority of the seating is outside. It's like a secret garden with all the trees and plants. Somewhat a treehouse feel as well. They have 2 levels with tables. Beautiful spot sitting there under the tree having a nice cup of joes and a beautiful pastries. Indoor also has some seating along the front and I believe there's a second floor right above the entrance. There's mainly one line for everything. You wait to place your order if you wanted pastries and food. I think you could just order drinks at counter if you're not getting food but don't quote me on that. Everyone was waiting together. Once you reach the top, there's the counter of fresh baked pastries that's made daily. Things do sell out pretty fast. We literally arrived not long after they open and the ham and cheese croissant was already sold out. Besides pastries, there's fresh baked bread. Coffee drinks were pretty good too. After you pick what you want, the cashier is at the end and that's where you pay. There's a counter at the back where drinks are picked up. The whole place has an open kitchen feel where you could actually see all the workers preparing the sweets. In the back kitchen, you could walk by and see the pastries chef preparing and putting together the fresh sweets. It's like you're part of the kitchen. It's a cute place and it does get busy. The locals know about this place so it a hot spot. The holiday makers know which their names is getting out there and making a big splash for them. We've been a few times while in town and each time, alway busy and great. Amazing pastries and good drink. It is on the pricer side but that's pretty much everywhere you go these days.

That's why it's so disappointing that my experience ended on such a negative note. When I checked out, I was told there was a 50¢ surcharge for using my Visa debit card. I've been told this before in different purchases from this sandwich shop. But I finally asked the gentleman at the counter today about the surcharge, and he told me it was "just how the machine is." When I pulled up the information on my phone explaining that debit card surcharges generally aren't allowed, he dismissed it and said I would have to speak with the owner. When I spoke with the owner, I was hoping for a simple explanation. Instead, she became combative, brushed off my concern, and said, "Everyone around here (Benicia) does it." Which is simply not true. I wasn't trying to argue--I was simply asking about a charge that didn't seem right. The food is genuinely good, but the way my concern was handled left a bad impression. If you pay with a debit card, I'd recommend checking your receipt carefully to make sure you know exactly what you're being charged. I hope the business reviews its payment practices and takes customer concerns more seriously in the future. Before they are reported to the state's department of Justice or to the county department of weight and measures by someone for their charging practices.
