Late last year, I made an appointment for a cleaning, having had my last one 6 months prior to the lockdown. For a person who brushes her teeth after every meal and flosses twice a day, I was surprised to learn that due to not having gone for a cleaning for two years, my gums needed a much needed deeper cleaning. That's when I began a periodontal/gum screening/oral hygiene fitness plan, that included 5 visits in a span of 3 months. Danny, the hygienist who took care of me, handled my mouth with extreme care and explained the details of all the procedures before during and after treatment which I appreciated very much. The first visit entailed having my gum's depth measured throughout my mouth, a super deep cleaning with a local anesthetic and laughing gas (I did not feel a thing and felt rather nice actually). Other tests were done and sent to the lab to check thoroughly. That day I went home with a brand new Philips electric toothbrush, a Waterflosser Water Pic, several bottles of oral irrigators, floss, etc. so I too, could tackle those hard-to-reach crevices in and around each and every tooth and molar at home. It was all included in their extremely competitive flat fee. At each visit, Danny once again measured the depth of my gums around each tooth, gave me a deep cleaning and an Oral Hygiene Fitness Report that reflected the improvements. All my visits were pain-free, educational and left me with freshly cleaned teeth and gums and it showed :) Today was my last visit. After the cleaning, I felt squeaky-clean and accomplished, especially receiving an "A+" for the progress and my at-home efforts. Dr. Gallardo and his staff not only treat you with respect and like family, but they make sure the experience with their state-of-the-art equipment, is smooth and pain-free. What more is there to ask for?

After 55 mins I was called to the back office where I was told the doctor would be right with me. After going through the longest and most uncomfortable x-ray process I was in the dental chair for 40 mins before the dentist came by and said he was sorry and he'd be right there. Thanks for saying so at least, but at the 1 hr 45 min mark we may as well not even try to be courteous. All said and done, the doc left again at one point for another ten minutes. I knew I had 2 small cavities, and felt an impact from one wisdom tooth on my bottom left side. So I naively, went by myself to Dental Boost. 15 minutes later, I walk out with an $8,000.00 bill. Their staff insisted the best option would be to get a credit card through them from "Care Credit". They said I had 12 cavities, needed 4 wisdom teeth removed for "precautionary purposes" since one was bothering me, and should get Invisalign for the ONE tooth I had that was slightly slanted to the right. (Mind you, my entire life people would compliment me on how straight my teeth were.) Oh and they charged me for both bottom and top row teeth Invisalign. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! I was naïve and thought Dr.Gabaldon was a sweet lady and that all the staff was honest and kind, little did I know they were taking advantage of me because I was 19 and I didn't have any parent or guardian with me, to call them on their bullshit. Towards the end of all the so-called treatments, the staff tried to trick me into paying an additional $2,000 that I had already paid and until I got extremely angry and had my mother speak with them, they said "Oh no, youre right! you did pay it, our mistake". Fast forward, I am 26 now, and 2 of the fillings they did came out, exposing the nerves. I go to visit another dentist, and the dentist tells me 1. I don't have fillings in any teeth except 2 molars, and it was done so poorly, that I will now need 2 root canals, and crowns for those teeth, as well as medication for an infection that the poorly done filling has caused me. This is another whopping $4,000. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TEETH, DO NOT EVER GO TO DR.GRABALDON!!!! THEY ARE THIEVES AND WILL CONTINUOUSLY ABUSE YOU.GO TO A DIFFERENT HONORABLE AND HONEST DENTIST.

We were quoted hundreds to thousands of dollars for things like teeth-grinding retainers, replacement dental work, and upgraded services. When I politely told the staff member that I needed to go home and discuss the treatment plan with my parents, her response was, "Wait, how old are you?" Aside from being unprofessional, it was completely irrelevant. My parents help cover my medical expenses while I'm in graduate school, but regardless, I was simply trying to decline the treatment without being pressured further.
