So when I caught wind that there was a brick and mortar location, and they were offering sushi, I knew I had to check it out. STAR #1: The space is cozy. They maximized it as best they could by using a cushioned bench around the outer perimeter of the space and pairing that with tables and chairs opposite. There's a patio outside for those warmer days. STAR #2: The menu features a ton of options for every craving. Our group was on a mission, and that mission was SUSHI! After careful consideration we opted for bacon cheese wontons, Philadelphia roll, spicy crabmeat roll, love bites roll, and rush hour roll. YUM! Everything was positively delicious. It's rare I have a hard time picking a favorite, but everything was that good. STAR #3: Prices are incredibly reasonable. We got all of the above and a couple canned beverages for $61. That's not too shabby! STAR #4: Service is super friendly. I knocked over my soda before opening it, and they insisted on switching it out for me, versus me having to wait to quench my thirst. Our server gave us time to review the menu and answered any questions we had. The main drawback here is that the inside dinning space is small. As Yatai Asian Kitchen grows in popularity, I can see this becoming an issue for their hungry patrons. A man came in 15 minutes after we did and they took his order, so I complained and they took our order. My order was incorrect, I had no silverware and I had to request silverware three times!! my food was no longer hot by the time I got silverware. We never did get the appetizers we ordered and all we got was an "I'm sorry." No offer or attempt to make it right. My incorrect order was never fixed. This has been one of our favorite go to restaurants, but after tonight, I don't even know what to say.

The waitress who took us to our table did so with a very bad attitude. She placed the menus on a table located in the middle of the restaurant. Since I was with my one-year-old baby, I thought it would be better to sit at a table at the end of the restaurant so we wouldn't inconvenience people walking by or trying to leave. I politely and respectfully asked if we could move to the empty table at the end. She did not respond to me. Instead, she threw the menus on the table, turned around, and walked away while complaining to other waitresses and giving uncomfortable looks. Of course, I stood up with my family and went to speak to another waitress. I apologized and told her we were going to leave because the situation felt very uncomfortable. I explained why I had asked for the other table, and she responded, "Do you want the table or not?" As someone who works in customer service, I believe employees should be very careful about how they speak and behave in front of customers. My experience at this place today was horrible.
