If you are considering hiring Victor, please read this carefully--this decision cost us over $70,000 and nearly broke us emotionally. We hired Victor in March of 2024. We have been so busy cleaning up the mess he left behind that we haven't had the energy to leave reviews, but we feel it's necessary so he doesn't keep getting away with this. We later heard from several people he had either worked with or worked for that this is a pattern for him--constantly creating problems and owing people money as a result. Victor signed a very detailed contract with us. We agreed to pay 50% of each room or project upfront, and the remaining balance once that room was completed. No room was ever fully finished, yet he continued asking for more money. When we pointed out that the work wasn't done, he would laugh and say, "It's going to get done." Instead, the quality of work kept getting worse and his workers started barely showing up. We found beer cans inside our home, cigarette butts dumped throughout our yard, and construction debris--nails, screws, glass, tile, paint, drywall--everywhere. It became impossible to even let our dog use the grass. Our yard was completely destroyed from all the trash being dumped, and despite repeatedly asking Victor to clean it up (which was included in our contract), nothing changed. We also began noticing that none of the projects we were paying for were actually being completed. Victor failed to take care of our belongings, and many items and pieces of furniture were damaged and had to be thrown away. Over time, we realized he wasn't supervising the work at all. We ended up paying Victor over $70,000. During the same week we made the final payment, one of the workers knocked on our door. He was visibly upset, angry, and in tears. He asked if it was true that we were refusing to pay for the work being done. I assured him that was not true and offered to show him our contract and proof of every payment we had made to Victor. He told us that Victor had struggled to pay him throughout the three months he worked on our house and that he hadn't been paid at all for the last three weeks. Suddenly, everything made sense--why the work quality declined and why no one was showing up. We then learned that Victor didn't actually have employees. He was asking for favors from people he had worked with in the past, including jobs he had been fired from, and even poaching workers from other job sites. This man told us Victor convinced him to leave his job with promises of making good money. I asked why no one had spoken to us sooner. I am bilingual, and anytime I tried to talk to the workers, they avoided us. He explained that Victor had specifically instructed them not to speak to us. When we confronted Victor, he couldn't explain what he had done with the over $70,000 we paid him in just three months. We had also paid for most of the materials ourselves, and he never had more than two or three people at the house--usually only one or two. He then asked us to "loan" him money so he could pay the workers he owed. He signed a new contract agreeing to repay us, including the money we were now paying directly to one worker on a daily basis just to try to finish some of the unfinished projects. Victor eventually stopped responding altogether. We formally notified him that he was in breach of contract. Nearly two years later, he has never reached out, though we can see that he has created a new website that only links to positive reviews. We were forced to stop all work on the house because it became clear Victor had no intention of honoring his contract. This doesn't even include all the work that was improperly installed or done incorrectly and had to be completely redone. My husband and I did our best to finish what we could ourselves just so we could move back in. The house had become unlivable--the debris, dust, and lack of cleanup made it impossible to breathe. There aren't enough characters here to explain everything that happened with Victor as the middleman--because that's all he is. He collects money on behalf of the people actually doing the work. He calls himself a contractor, but he isn't even licensed. QUE DIOS TE PERDONE, VICTOR. You have caused us an unbelievable amount of pain, stress, and frustration. read more

This post is a fraud alert and a warning to anyone considering working with Victor. Our experience with Victor began positively. Communication was clear, expectations seemed aligned, and his team initially appeared efficient, respectful, and professional. We felt hopeful and excited about moving forward. We had a signed contract that clearly outlined the scope of work, payment terms, and expectations, along with hundreds of text messages documenting everything that was agreed upon. There was no confusion or misunderstanding. As the project progressed, both the quality of work and Victor's professionalism declined. Deadlines were repeatedly missed, major parts of the project were forgotten entirely, and Victor began demanding additional money in advance despite the contract stating otherwise. Work was left half done--or not done at all. Entire rooms were abandoned mid-task, leaving our home unfinished and unusable. For example, although we paid for our entire house to be re-textured and painted, less than half was completed, with many rooms left with exposed and partially finished mud work. The quality of work was unacceptable and requires full remediation. The job was largely unsupervised. Victor would only show up if we told him we would also be there. Inside the home, conditions became unbearable. Debris and dust were everywhere, making it unsafe and extremely uncomfortable to occupy. Outside, trash was dumped on our lawns, and Victor failed to uphold his responsibility to dispose of it properly. One of the most disturbing moments occurred after Victor left our house one day. One of his workers returned and confronted us, asking why we were refusing to pay them. We were in complete shock, as Victor had already been paid in full per our agreement. We had to explain that Victor had all of the money and was withholding it from them. The worker acknowledged seeing us purchase all of the materials and said it didn't make sense that we weren't paying. We later learned Victor had specifically instructed his employees not to speak to us, which explained their hostility. After this incident, Victor admitted to misleading his employees and signed a second contract agreeing to pay us back so we could finish the project ourselves, including back-paying his workers. He was required to make minimum payments over six months. He nearly missed the first payment and only paid after being reminded he would be in breach. The second payment was only half of what was owed. After that, he completely ghosted us. We later discovered Victor is not a licensed contractor. All of his employees eventually quit, which we now understand was a result of his fraud and mismanagement. We paid Victor and his former employees well over $70,000. This experience has affected us deeply--financially, emotionally, and physically. What was supposed to be an exciting step forward became months of stress, anxiety, and devastation. We are heartbroken that anyone would treat people this way, both clients and employees alike. Please take this warning seriously. read more

Found Victor to do repairs on my home after having water damage from the rain. He was very responsive throughout the process and met in person providing helpful advice on options from the cheapest to the most ideal. He was very knowledgeable. He took care of the exterior wall, interior drywall, insulation, as well as flooring and painting. Overall was a great value with competitive pricing which was close to his rough estimates when walking through cost of damage. He even did some of the work himself when his employee was unable to make it in order to make sure there was no delay, and making sure we were happy with the work. read more

We had an amazing experience working with Victor and his team. Our bathrooms needed new flooring, countertops, and repainting walls and all the projects were completed within a week. Although he is very busy, Victor has been responsive, quick to respond to texts and to make the time to check what needs to be done. We had several small projects to complete in our home, including tile repair (travertine), drywall with texturing, and the securing of loose kitchen cabinet molding. Victor's team arrived on time and took great care to minimize any mess. They even placed a drop cloth OUTSIDE the entry to our house. Pedro and Natalio worked carefully and efficiently, and did a beautiful job with the wall repair and retexturing (after removing the backing that remained from old wallpaper), which was the most time consuming of the three tasks. For the cabinet repairs, they used both silicone and tiny nails, which looks very secure. These guys know what they are doing and, unlike many contractors, did a great job of cleaning up after themselves! We will definitely contact Victor again for other jobs.
