Today I had my first visit with Dr. Desar. Her staff was very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. I spoke with Yolanda at the front desk who also assisted Dr. Desar with my cleaning. The process was painless and quick. My teeth feel smooth and fresh. Both Yolanda and Dr. Desar were very sweet and I will be referring my friends to this dental office! The best part, you even get to leave with a goodie bag! Thanks Victoria Village Dentistry! You made going to the dentist a breeze.

After authorization was approved by DentCal my Mom had her crown procedure completed. Dr. Also filled 2 other pending cavities. Dr. Is very efficient with scheduling and will do as much as possible when patient is numb to keep comfort a priority. my mom did not have any problems or complications. However, Dr. gave us instructions and clear information on how to reach her on any day and time in case of any problems. I would recommend Victoria Village Dentistry. read more

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist and am happy I found Victoria Village Dentistry and Dr. Desar. She was able to help me with 3 fillings, a root canal, and a crown. I've been coming here for 18 years and I refuse to go anywhere else. The front office staff are always very polite and welcoming. They are very accommodating and helpful whenever I have questions. I always look forward to seeing Dr. Disar as she has been my dentist since I was 13 years old and has been there through my journey of braces (twice) and jaw surgery. She referred me to my ortho and surgeon and have beautiful results. I trust her care, kindness and efforts so much that my children are under her care as well! read more

Found this office thanks to my insurance company. They take Medi-Cal and were excepting new patients. Cleaned my teeth and fixed two chips in my two front teeth and did an excellent job! Right after my visit I walked to my car and cried! This dentist put SILVER fillings in my teeth. I'm 27 year old with pediatric style fillings. I went to 2 different dentist this morning and they told me this type of fillings aren't done anymore. They stopped doing them on adults in the late 90s early 2000s. They also both suggested a different dental plan for me, suggesting wisdom tooth extractions which this dentist said not to do. I feel stupid for going here! I should've never came here and never trusted her to work on my teeth! Now I'm left with horrible teeth that I will have to pay out of pocket to fix! Not to mention the pain of having to re-do them. I'm sad and upset! read more

After maltreatment from a different dentist (Borrego Health), Dr. Desar truly uplifted my spirits and my hope for the future of healthcare was redeemed. Dr. Desar was incredibly welcoming as was her front staff. Everyone was so accommodating and so very friendly, I felt at peace despite the fact that I was in incredible pain. After assessing the situation, Dr. Desar gave a diagnosis that eased my mind. Finally I knew the result as to what was causing me such pain. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back for my routine check-ups and if I ever have an emergency (hopefully never), I will be back here. Definitely a great place to get your teeth checked. Dr. Desar is very knowledgeable and incredibly caring. read more

Dr. Desar is wonderful!! She is very attentive, answers all of your questions with patience and makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience! You can't even feel the needle when you're being numbed! Her staff is so sweet, every time! I was having a lot of swelling & pain in my gums & had already had a different dentist tell me I needed a deep cleaning but at an outrageous price. I was able to get in right away here & was told the truth about my situation. I have Denti-Cal but found out I would need to wait for an approval to cover a deep cleaning, LUCKILY, this office doesn't cost an arm & a leg & I was able to pay a reasonable price for the same procedure, without the wait. I also found out that I didn't NEED the deep cleaning to the extent that the previous office had led me to think. I trust this dentist & am grateful that I have found a dentist that I can trust & isn't suggesting unneeded procedures! I will be recommending to all my friends & family! read more

Scheduled an appointment for my wife and left my number so they can call me. My wife showed up and they were closed. Called on Tuesday and they had informed me that they called everyone to reschedule appointments. They must have mist a few because I never got a call and now she has to wait 2 weeks for another visit. read more

I'm a little late on this but I just wanted to say how pleased I was coming to this dentist office not only was Dr desar really gental and kind but the staff was also very welcoming to me. The girl who took my x Ray's was very nice and it didn't hurt like it use to back in the day. But when the doctor did my cleaning she was very gental with it. By far the best dental office I been to I will be returning again. read more

Dr. Desar and her staff are amazing! I dread going to the dentist but she has such a light hand that you barely feel her working on your mouth. The anesthesia part for me is the worst but she does an amazing job at relaxing you and making it as painless as possible. I love coming here for my dental work! Dr. Desar and her staff are very pleasant, professional and prompt. I have been going to her since I was a child and no matter how far I move I still arrange to come out and get work done on my teeth by her. Now that I am married my husband sees her as well. We are both happy with our services here and recommend everyone that is looking for a good family dentist. She is good with children as well. My niece sees her and she is 3 years old. Does not provide sedation or NoS (Laughing Gas) for anxiety. Dr. Was very rude and refused to listen to my feedback. She asked me to raise my hand for any reason and she will stop. I raised my hand as she was ramming tools at the back of my throat making me feel distressed and she told me to put my hand down. When I asked if I can be seen by another provider she stopped in the middle of treatment and asked me if I would like to leave saying she doesn't know if anyone else will see me. When I asked for a PHI release form, she says she doesn't have one as there is no need for it. I informed her patient access to protected health information is state law, so she printed me out a "Doctors Summary" sheet and no other information I had requested. She then said she cannot do my root canal for 6 weeks. I declined and left the office. Dental assistant was the most helpful team member in this office. read more

Despite the challenge, Dr. Nouri remained patient, focused, and determined throughout the entire process, which took about two hours. At my follow-up appointment, Dr. Nouri carefully checked my healing, smoothed out part of the bone graft area, and made sure everything was progressing well. She took the time to explain everything in detail and genuinely cared about how I was feeling. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. They even found a charm that had fallen off in the chair and kindly texted me to ask if it was mine, letting me know they would safely hold onto it for me. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot. I FINALLY found a dentist! Victoria Village Dentistry is amazing! The staff is wonderful, Jessica is so patient and will literally explain the same thing to you a thousand times and STILL have a smile! That's patience at it finest. She also responds quickly to messages which helps keep your anxiety under control. If your like me you hate waiting for responses when your already nervous! Dr. Desar....where do I even begin? I think she either noticed my body language or could just sense I was a little nervous because she came in the room with such confidence and such a sweet spirit it was like she was trying to tell me in so many words your fine, I will take great care of you and that she did. She's amazing, soooo patient, super gentle and keeps you relaxed!!!! I literally went to sleep in the chair! She checked in with me the entire time during the procedure which kept me calm. There were so many moments I forgot she was working, her hand is so light! Between that and her soft spoken calm voice you can't lose. I look for a lot of things when I go to the dentist and she met all of my mental check offs. The fact that I had shared some things with Jessica and the Dr. Remembered and chatted with me about it showed me that she cares about you as a person! We had such good convo that it made me remember things about her on a personal level as I'm sure she will I. She wasn't rushed which is a big turn off for me, she took time to interact with me as a person and that says a lot. I was super nervous about needing a RCT (like every other person I dreaded the needle and just the fear itself of needing one) I never had nerves like this but I can honestly say I felt nothing! I was so upset that I lost two nights of sleep...The moment she started I instantly calmed down and the moment she physically touched me I instantly relaxed. You can't say that often about a dentist but Dr. Desar has the magic touch. I'll be telling all my family, friends, and even co-workers that I found an awesome dentist with an amazing staff! I know my next appointment will be great because she's just that awesome! read more

Recently I had the misfortune of losing my private insurance. I decided to go back to college and finish my criminal justice degree and apply to Law School, after having my son. I always had private insurance, so I never really knew anything else. After going through every nightmare scenario imaginable with my new dental insurance I stumbled upon a miracle worker. In the form of a dentist at Victoria Village Dental Group. Finding Dr. Desar was life-changing for me, she is Professional, Knowledgeable, Courteous, and Understanding. She Honestly Cares about her Patients and clearly isn't in the business for the money. She explains everything thoroughly prior to each dental procedure, replete with diagram sketched on a makeshift pad. The staff is equally as Caring and Considerate, making every Patient Feel Welcome and Taken Care Of. Every financial option is discussed and you feel like you are a part of a team of people, that want to see you look and feel the best that you possibly can. My 5 star review is not just from one visit, it's from over 15 years of dental work. Dr.Desar is the best. She's very skilled and is always checking to see if I'm experiencing any discomfort during my procedures. She works super well around scheduling and even fit me into some slim windows of opportunity while I worked two jobs at a time. The assistants throughout the years have always, and I repeat always! Been extremely welcoming, informative, caring. If you have a family Dentist, I highly suggest switching. If your just a first timer or just looking, please check out Victoria Village. My visit to this dentistry was amazing. I usually get nervous once I'm at the dentist but Krista made me really comfortable upon entering and has great attitude towards any questions I asked. When i sat down on the chair the nervousness started to hit again just about knowing the condition of my teeth but once Dr desar explained what was going on and how it can be fixed I began to feel relaxed and optimistic on the results. Both Krista and Dr Desar did an awesome job on the work I needed that day , also Dr Desar has very gentle hands which is a huge plus. Overall it was an awesome experience looking forward to going back. read more

This is the first time I have written a Yelp review for anyone but it is deserving. I had nothing but great experiences while going to see Dr. Desar. The staff there are very friendly. Dr. Desar did a great job explaining her diagnoses step by step on my son and what was the best route for his teeth since my son has Down syndrome . What I like the most is that she didn't push towards any treatment that wasn't necessary After seeing many different dentists that was one of my fears. Since there are dentists out there that all they want is $$. I can say that Dr. Desar and her team are the best. I highly recommend read more

I can't begin to explain how amazing they were. Not only were they able to help me get over my fear of needles and completely numb me. But frequently checked to make sure I was okay and help me get over my anxiety all while being patient. I have had such horrible experiences that I've been scared to go back for years and for once in my life I feel comfortable knowing I'm in safe hands. I already have one root canal finish as she did such an amazing job I haven't been able to smile confidently in so long. Thank you so much. My family has been going to Dr Desar for over ten years and for good reason! She is kind, compassionate, offers superb care, and is understanding to the "chickens" like me! I have five children and because of her gentle dentistry, not one of them is nervous about going to the dentist-- they just take it in stride. She is a special lady, and I highly recommend her office....it is clean, professional, and she manages to get us all in at once! A real family affair lol. Victoria Village Dentistry is the place to go for all your dental needs. Affordable, quality great dentistry is everything that comes to mind and then some. Dr. Desar is patient, friendly, fast, and always checks in to be sure your doing okay. Her assistants Liz and Jessica are the best! I moved to California all by myself and needed to find a dentist who could work with my schedule and get me in fast, they did just that. They were fast and efficient. She took very good care of my teeth, and was very gentle with me. Awesome dentist!! From my first phone call to my root canal, everyone here is wonderdul! Jessica is very warm, caring and capable. Dr. Desar was much more gental than the endodontist I went to several years ago. Yolanda her assistant was very sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this dental office! They were able to see me on a Saturday morning and discovered that I had an abscess/tooth infection. The staff was hospitable and Dr. Desar was very gentle and empathic to my dental anxiety. I was prescribed antibiotics to minimize the tooth infection prior to having a root canal/filling. I'm scheduled for the crown next week. They were great!! read more
