We used Victoria and her team for our wedding back in September and let me just say she was FANTASTIC. We hired her about a year out and she was extremely proactive in getting us timelines, checking off to-dos, answering questions, and assisting in coordinating all vendor meetings. She is super organized and has a tool for everything which was really nice. Being the perfectionist that I am I had to be involved in EVERY detail and Victoria embraced this and even helped calm my nerves and indecisiveness often. She has recommendations for days and will always listen to what you like and what you don't like. She has been in the business for a long time so knows pretty much everyone. We worked with Victoria for our daughter's June 21, 2014 wedding - and we're glad we did! Victoria is truly as good as it gets. As the Father of the Bride, I was very concerned with the total package and the cost of doing a wedding in California, when we live in Saint Louis. My husband and I live in New Jersey and we decided to get married in the beautiful state of sunny California. We decided on the location of the Loews hotel in Coronado. We were excited and overwhelmed at the same time. We didn't know where to start. We looked into a wedding planner as our venue suggested. We reached out to Victoria and were pleasantly surprised at all of the tasks we would no longer have to stress out about. After getting some guidance from Victoria and doing a little research on our own, we were able to pick out our vendors. The vendors that Victoria helped set us up with were better than we could have asked for. My husband found the DJ on his own but the photographer, hair stylist, officiant, and videographer were phenomenal. Our florist delivered beautiful flowers but we had issues with them which did not reflect on Victoria. Victoria is absolutely incredible! I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She is a bride and groom's dream come true and was a joy to work with. Victoria is extremely detailed, organized, calm under pressure, and very on top of it. I hired Victoria to plan and coordinate my July 2011 wedding at the Museum of Contemporary Art and couldn't be happier with my decision! I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding! It truly exceeded my expectations. I am a procrastinator, I have three time consuming jobs, and by the time I decided on a venue, I only had four months to plan my wedding. Although I hadn't originally thought of hiring someone to do the planning, after I met with Victoria, I thought it would probably be a good idea-and it was! Since San Diego is a major wedding destination, it doesn't have it shortfall of wedding planners and other vendors. I luckily stumbled upon Victoria at a wedding show and after talking briefly; I met with her in her studio a few days later and quickly decided she was the best person to help me plan my wedding. My daughter's August 2013 wedding was everything we'd hoped it would be, thanks to Victoria! We interviewed three other planners, and while all were great, Victoria's style was the best match with my daughter's vision for her wedding--elegant, contemporary, yet fun. She listened to what we wanted and made it happen--even if we wanted something different than her original recommendation. We had already found our venue, and the event coordinator there also recommended Victoria. Her knowledge of the site was invaluable as we worked out the logistics and timelines for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. VICTORIA IS AMAZING! She helped me create our dream wedding and was so pleasant during the 17 MONTHS she worked with us. She gave me ideas and suggestions but always let me have the final decision. What I loved about her is her calm demeanor and her dedication to her job. Why we chose her over many other planners was that she allowed for unlimited phone calls, emails, and meetings if necessary. I loved that because I never felt constrained with her time and she was always readily available. Her connections with many vendors helped us get the best prices and she had amazing suggestions and ideas to help make our wedding unique! She even single handedly glued rhinestone brooches to ribbon to create custom napkin rings for us that were more cost effective than purchasing pre-glued! My daughter got married this past weekend and I can't say enough good things about Victoria. My daughter lives in Seattle and her sister, the maid of honor, lives in the Bay Area. The bride wanted to get married in San Diego since we live here and most of her family reside in California. I really didn't want to have to plan this whole thing myself. She did a great job working with our budget and helping me choose which items to splurge on and what to scale back on. And having her pass on her vendor discounts totally made it all worth it. On a personal note - we got along so well and it just made the whole experience so much more fun. She did a great job keeping me calm when I would start to stress. And I dont know how they do it - but Victoria and her assistant did such an amazing job on the day of the wedding keeping everything organized and on track! I am a true perfectionist, and was very nervous about hiring a planner who would be in charge of all the details - but Victoria blew me away. It was the best decision I made during the planning process. Her skills were most valuable for me in saving time and hassle, without having to sacrifice any quality. In the vendor selection process, she helped me by giving me three to interview in each category...and if I had been doing it on my own, I probably would have interviewed every vendor in San Diego! I was pleased with almost all of her recommendations. Victoria's professionalism came in especially handy when we had a major problem with one of our vendors. We lost our deposit after being abandoned by a florist, and it left me in tears. Victoria (with the help of my wonderful mother) took over the whole situation so it wouldn't dampen my wedding bliss, and stood firm with the woman to insist she give our money back - and she even promised to refund us from her own pocket if it wasn't resolved. Because of Victoria, I was able to relax and have an amazing time on my wedding day, and knew for certain that all details would be perfect - which I don't usually say when someone else is in charge! We got married in July, downtown San Diego. I am a very detailed orientated, planned and my husband would probably say a 'neurotic' person and (obviously) this was heightened to an extreme level during the wedding planning process. I knew I would need a planner as it seemed like such an overwhelming task for my husband and I to plan ourselves. We also had a lot of people who would be attending from overseas so I just had to get someone to help me manage that as well. When we first met with Victoria we were blown away by how detailed, specific and thoughtful she was with the planning schedule and day of activities. We decided to hire her for the whole process and not just the day of. I can't imagine having it any other way. She was so helpful with the build up to the wedding. She is very professional and has been working in the industry for many years - it shows. She is an expert when it comes to logistics, choosing vendors and all the details. Little stuff that I would never ever have thought of she would bring up to me. She was always available via text message and phone call. I do miss our chats now On our actual wedding day, Victoria and her staff were top notch! I have to admit, being a groom I was not exactly thrilled about the idea of hiring a wedding planner. I never really understood the concept behind paying for a service that you could easily take care of on your own for free. Let me be the first to say, that I've never been more wrong. If you want your wedding to go perfect and want the best in the business as far as wedding coordinators are concerned Victoria is your gal!!!! My mom & I were referred to Victoria one day while dress shopping at M bride, (through Michelle who is yet another 5 star business). We called to meet with Victoria and were able to set up a time the next day. Her quick, professional response was the first example of why her word of mouth reputation has excelled in the wedding community. My mom and I hired her that day, we just had to sell my dad on the idea of having a coordinator which we knew would be hard to do. He was not too happy initially, but by the day of the wedding several of our guests told my mom and I how my Dad was telling everyone the best thing he did was hire Victoria. (we let him continue to think he was the one who hired her, even though we all knew the real truth.:)) Victoria helped & did EVERYTHING! From decor, lighting, flowers, cake, menu, invitations, menu cards, music, dresses, bridesmaids gifts, photographers... You name it she had the best vendors while respecting your budget. Also since she is so detail oriented she had a wedding timeline she followed to keep you on track and a day of wedding timeline down to the very minute of what needed to be happening and when and where. This made wedding planning fun, stress free, and exciting which made our day beyond perfect. She also makes herself available to you whenever you need to meet her or speak with her. She's personal but extrmemely consistent, professional, and detailed which is why she is the BEST in Southern California for wedding coordinators. You grow relationships with people everyday & throughout the wedding planning process especially because it is such a personal time. The relationship myself and parents grew with Victoria is one we will keep very special to us & after all the wedding fun I felt sad to know that I would know longer be talking and seeing her on a regular basis. Quite simply, Victoria is the best in the business! After interviewing several wedding coordinators, we hired Victoria to help plan our wedding which was this past July at the Park Hyatt Aviara. She's been in the business for a long time and it was apparent working with her. Victoria was extremely professional and on top of everything from day one which made us feel at ease during what can be a very stressful process. She also had significant foresight, asking questions and seeing problems before they happened, which is obviously an important quality for a planner! Like most grooms, I assumed that planning a wedding might be a little easy, but as things progressed, I couldn't have been more wrong, and that's where Victoria came in and made sure that everything came together in a very smooth, efficient, and pleasant manner. Overall, I think Victoria is good for the day of planning. One of Victoria's references told me she thought Victoria was fine on the day of her wedding but that she wasn't as helpful during the process. I would agree with that. I also would have preferred that Victoria was more upfront with us about her relationships with vendors when she made her recommendations. We hired our photographer based on her high recommendations but she didn't tell us she was engaged to him. We found that out just a month or two before our wedding. I would have preferred that information while making a decision. When several items were lost at our wedding Victoria said those items were not her responsibility. When I pointed out language in our contract that said otherwise we resolved our issue. That was a disappointing way to end our business relationship. However, despite the negatives, it wasn't all bad; I had a beautiful wedding. Because of that I would say Victoria is best when it comes time to getting the décor right and making sure the timing of the wedding goes according to plan. read more
