We were staying in Sheboygan on our way up to Door. They have an amazing downtown area so we decided to walk through the next morning before leaving. The Victorian Chocolate Shoppe was the first place we stopped, What a cute and wonderful little shop with lots of homemade goodness and other nostalgic candies. Everything looked great! We got some really good dark chocolate toffee and dark chocolate covered Stroopwaffel cookies...Yum! Most of the stuff was pretty standard but they had a few things I have never seen like the Stroopwaffels. I also got some non sour cherry hard candy drops that I loved. Adorable from the outside and delectable on the inside! I took a stroll and saw the cute storefront from across the street. A small sign on the door told me they had chocolate covered raspberries! My parents visited the store today and purchased 'A Box of Rocks' for me. I applaud whoever created these delicious and realistic chocolate rocks! I am a geologist, and sent along photos of these to a few of my geology friends. We had a blast talking about what the chocolate rocks looked like! Most impressive to me where the blue colored and green colored chocolate rocks! Victorian Chocolate Shoppe is one of the few places that I absolutely MUST stop at whenever I visit Sheboygan, ever since I got a box of their truffles for Christmas. They have a great selection of chocolates, as well as other candies too. They carry Albanese brand gummies, which makes me happy since Albanese is out in my neck of the woods. What I love most about them is that they are super reasonable. Each of their chocolate truffles are less than a dollar, so you're never going to break the bank. My personal favorite truffles are the Highland Grog flavor, as well as the Pomegranate. But the best thing to get here is their chocolate covered raspberries. They are absolutely amazing, and are well worth the money. Chocolate + raspberry is my favorite flavor combination, and I've become addicted to these chocolates! If you're visiting Sheboygan, this candy shop is worth checking out. They also have a selection of sugar free chocolates. read more

Located mere steps away from Il Ritrovo, this little candy shop is a great place to pick up some treats. Inside, you'll find lots of nostalgic candy - Turkish taffy, candy cigarettes, that weird violet gum and candy buttons. My husband has a love for gross candy and took the opportunity to stock up on Zots and Razzles (I guess that last one turns into gum? No thank you). I picked up some mint meltaways and a few delicious caramels. Prices are quite reasonable and the person working was friendly. Worth checking out! read more

Sizable shop with an impressive variety of selections, all priced reasonable. You can indulge without breaking the bank. Most, if not all, truffles are only 90 cents. I've tried 2 of the 6 truffles I bought and 2 pieces of the chocolate covered toffee over the past few days. All were really good, but not mind-blowing. The value alone is worth the visit. If you're visiting Il Ritrovo or Trattoria Stefano and this store is open, you should definitely stop in and buy some treats for later. A nice owner in a very large shop. Some of the items looked more homemade while others were more mass produced. Having just come from Il Ritrovo next door which was packed, it was odd to see this place so empty. I opened the door unsure of whether or not they were open. But I always like supporting places like this as I'm not sure how well they do considering the type of purchases people generally make. I ordered the peanut butter milk chocolate truffles which tasted like a peanut butter cup. A half pound set me back $8 but I'm glad I stopped in. They were tasty. Hopefully business picks up as it seems like she could use some help. read more

This is like the real, live version of Candyland! From old fashioned candy (nostalgic pieces from childhood like candy cigarettes), to bulk candy (10¢ a piece), bags of chocolates and various candies to homemade truffles, one is bound to leave here happy! I noticed this shop as I was getting in my car after eating at the neighboring restaurant. Of course I had to stop! When I walked in, I was happy greeted by employees and quickly noticed all of the hard to find candy they had! Such as: black licorice scotties, candy cigarettes, candy buttons, etc! As others have mentioned, this place has AMAZING chocolate covered raspberries. They seem to maybe have a little bit of raspberry liqueur in them as well? This is some of the finest chocolate we've had lately. We stopped on our way to Door County for vacation and had to stop and get more chocolates on the way home. The chocolate, angel food, caramel, and toffee are all so fresh, they simply melt in your mouth. We can't recommend this Shoppe any more highly. The chocolates are just delicious. read more

This is a great, woman-owned, locally-owned business. Lots of candies in all price ranges, but their homemade chocolates are the best. And you can just pick out a few pieces. Don't have to buy a big box. Their specialty is chocolate dipped raspberries and strawberries and the raspberries are my go-to when I have to bring a little hostess gift. They are beautiful, freshly-made and a little more distinctive than the usual truffles or other filled chocolates. But they do need to be refrigerated and eaten within a day or two, so you have to plan ahead. But they are worth it! read more
