Husband & I were looking for a place to fill up before heading to some local attractions on our day off and we didn't want to break the bank. Our food was fabulous, our service was excellent, and we were able to skip lunch since the portions were huge. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing- will definitely return for the french toast. Affordable enough for families and your children will learn a life lesson in resilience, understanding and kindness included in the price.

What a great resturant with a cause. Super friendly staff. Tasty fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, home fries not a crisy as i would like. Amazing thick fresh homemade toast. This was a great meal and a great experience. Portions were huge, delicious and perfectly seasoned. The staff was super friendly and diverse. The place is run by Seabird Enterprises, who provide opportunities for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Highly recommend!

This is an awesome place, not just for the food (which by the way is really good) but for the concept they have, they help kids with down syndrome or something else to feel normal, to show how they can do really good things, I definitely recommend this place cause you can get good food really cheap and at the same time you help this people... I absolutely love it!

I think the ihop in Enfield is well above most others, but The Farmers House was something else entirely. The food was so good and the kids talked about it all day. The staff were quick and friendly, but busy. We all got something different (French toast, an omelette, and kids pancakes) and each of the three of us were very pleased with our choices. They don't do anything here you haven't had before, but they do everything very well. The only thing I could say was not great, and I hate complaining about things like this, is the parking. I know that's got little to do with the restaurant itself, but it is not the easiest spot to get in and out of, especially with everything going on at the X lately.

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

Service is great, very attentive and friendly. The food is what earns this three stars. I tried a stuffie, German onion soup, a Farmhouse burger, and a key lime Mason jar. The stuffie was a little small, and most of the flavor was imparted by the ham and the squeeze of lemon. The German onion soup, I'm not sure why it was German except to not be French? Outside the name difference, the onions were way too large, and there was a total lack of flavor going on in the soup. The crock was very large too. The burger and fries looked pretty good, and I enjoyed the flavors here. The fries were rough hewn, so there was good crispness from all the edges. The toppings of the burger, and the bun, were also hearty. Unfortunately, my medium rare burger was more like raw meat with surface browning. I'm a big fan of rare steak, but ground beef needs a little more cooking. Also, the house made ketchup is really more of a marinara sauce. If I'd ended up eating more of my plate before they took it away to re-fire the burger, I would have asked to replace the ketchup. The key lime Mason jar was e everything you want to wrap up a meal. Great flavor, lightness, citrus. I did have to bring most of it home but, unlike the burger they brought back in a box, I'm excited to get back into the key lime. From an accessibility stand point, there is no ramp to get in nor handicap parking, so the evidently don't want your business. Once you're in, there are some seats you could get in, but if this place were full it would be difficult to navigate for anyone. The bathroom is a single room, but very spacious and nice. So, mixed bag for access. Your mileage may vary, but I'm not racing to return.

The cheap add-ons shouldn't cost as much as the actual entrée. Nothing here is homemade--everything is clearly purchased in bulk from Costco (Kirkland brand) and Restaurant Depot. If you're expecting authentic, scratch-made kielbasa or pierogies, look elsewhere. To make matters worse, they shortcut the cooking by deep-frying the bacon and home fries before finishing them on the grill, leaving the food completely oversaturated with grease. You will need to ask. My major bugaboo is that the menu is pretty unclear. If you order a veggie omelette you might think it comes with at least some veggies in it. Apparently the $9.99 is the base price for just the eggs, and each item is added for $0.99 each. So when we ordered we were asked if we want all the veggies, it was unclear that this meant do you want to add $10 worth of extra items to the omelette. (Cheese is somehow extra too). The food was fine. Not worth $38 for eggs, toast homefries and the aforementioned omelette. So this is a once and done for us. And yes as others have said this is a cash only place.
