While the staff is pleasant and the generic Hampton Inn breakfast is serviceable, you'd better rely on the free coffee to wake you up as the water pressure in the shower is a disappointing trickle. The room is spacious but the vinyl flooring will leave you cold. The furnishings are tired and worn, and if you shift the furniture you may find (as we did) a rotten squishy apple lurking under a chair. The only carpeted area is under the bed and where it meets the vinyl flooring it was frayed and dirty. The basedboards were noticeably dirty. My in-law's room with a fireplace (LED) smelled noticeably musty. Pillows are completely unsupportive. They advertise a jacuzzi at the pool, but it was out of order. There are plenty of other options nearby, best to skip this until Hilton decides it's time for a refresh.

I am a lifetime Marriott platinum member and we enjoyed the benefit of their complementary breakfast. You order off the menu (not buffet) and it was delicious. There is an outside patio area with comfy chairs and firepit...shares the space with the attached restaurant (Jazzboline). Would have liked to try the attached restaurant, but yelp reviews made it sound terrible. (I depend on yelp reviews). We stayed in the courtyard room behind the main building. Windows do not open and no pool. We were traveling through town and stayed one night. Kinda glad it was just one night...the area was just okay. Not much in walking distance more of a city residential area. Overall, it is was a very pleasurable and nice stay.

There is both garage and lot parking, and there seemed to be enough spaces. There is a tiny little pool, optimistically called "the spa" that is not a spa, but the water was warm. A lot of hallway noise in the evenings, so we did put on some music/white noise. Overall, another good location for date weekend.

Even with the mild weather that we were visiting during, the lack of air circulation while gone always made the room uncomfortable to return to, because it was stuffy. Thankfully, it would be cleared up within 20-30 minutes, but being outside all day and wanting to comfortably relax when you return, it kind of puts a damper on that... and I don't really know what kind of savings it presents. It's easy enough for an AC system to maintain 70 degrees when it barely gets above that outside. Anyhow, thanks to the climate, a minor annoyance. Would stay here again! Since my flight arrived after midnight, I took advantage of the free shuttle from the airport. I was traveling alone and didn't feel unsafe at all. I had to call the hotel to request the shuttle, and it arrived within 10 minutes even well after midnight. The driver was nice and got super excited when I slipped her a $5 tip. Apparently not many customers tip, so throw the driver a few bucks to make their day or night. I also rode the shuttle back to the airport to pick up my rental car the next day. I took advantage of the 24 hour shop in the lobby, it's a well stocked pantry and since I was starving, I got a few bottles of water and a cup of instant Oatmeal. I loved that my room had a microwave and fridge, which came in handy. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and I slept just fine (considering I had to get up super early the next day). I mean, this again is just an airport hotel and I would not stay here for any other reason except that I have a flight or am arriving from a flight. This isn't a vacation type spot at all.

Bathroom was a little tight, with sink/mirror in the bedroom and toilet and tub in a separate tiny room. Hard to get in and out of give the smug space. Furniture was a little dated, but having a microwave and full size fridge was great. Really nice breakfast, better than other hotels. Son even played basketball in a court next to the breakfast room surrounded by a net wall. Definitely better than places nearby. Suggest you stay here.

I won't go into details here, but the manager awarded me 10,000 points as compensation. As I haven't had the inclination to stay a Courtyard since that experience, those points expired unused some time ago. On a recent trip to the Buffalo area, my search yielded a Courtyard location that was priced reasonably. I had driven past that hotel numerous times and observed that it looked relatively new and well maintained, and it was convenient. In the spirit of second chances, and on the assumption that my previous experience was unique to a single location, I made my six day reservation online. Check-in was quick and efficient, the staff was very friendly, and the room appeared to be impeccably clean. Good lighting throughout, a very capable showerhead with plenty of pressure, and water that was hotter than I've ever even dared to dream about! Yes, Atlanta was an aberration. Courtyard by Marriott is back on my list! Until day four. After three days of no maid service (despite having explicitly asked for it that morning), we turned down the second bed, only to find two dirty socks under the covers! It nearly triggered my gag reflex. So many questions rippled through my head. What else wasn't cleaned after the previous guest checked out of that room? How long have those socks been there? What sorts of bodily fluids have I been marinating in over the past three nights? What about the pillows? Were the towels just air dried and refolded? Is this a disgruntled employee or is it business as usual? We immediately packed our bags and loaded up the car. I stopped at the front desk to check out and told the clerk about the socks. She seemed genuinely apologetic, but I think she realized that offering to change rooms or to clean the room we were in was pointless. She refunded the unused nights and said she would talk to the manager when he arrived to see if they could award me some points that will definitely go unused. I'd strongly advise against this Courtyard location. I don't believe the brand is salvageable, at least in my mind. Frankly, I'm wondering if the entire Marriott brand is safe. Did I mention that there were ants in the bathroom?
