Cute place, food is good. I had a pastel, my girl had fried chicken chunks with rice and fried plantains, her man had alcapula and empanada. The food tasted familiar. If you're near the area, give this place a try.

Not what i expected from a Puerto Rican restaurant. The arroz con gandules was mushy and not very flavorful the chicharrón de pollo was dry and had really sharp broken bones in it.. the one good part was the empanadas and alcapurria just a bit greasy but other than that pretty good. They have daily specials available and you better order before you get there or you'll wait for a bit.

    Here for the special

I had some empanadas from here & even the crust as delicious, so I had to come back for another, & see what else was on the menu. I had the sancocho & arroz grandules. My food was so fire. It was my first time having Puerto Rican soup. It was tasty. The waitress gave us coquito samples as we waited for our food. I'll definitely be back. The waitress gave everyone these delcious coquito shots while we waited for our orders, & they had bottles for sale for $15 & up.

Finally dined in for the first time after driving but the restaurant daily. The food was soooo good. I was extremely hungry so I ordered a pastele and sorullos as appetizers. Then I had the lunch special which was bistec encebollado with rice, beans and maduros. I ate every single thing! Ana was my server, very sweet and attentive. The owner Maria even passed by and said hello to my table. Definitely made me feel welcomed. I will be a repeat guest for sure.

Alcapurrias had a lot of flavor

From the outside doesn't look very fancy but the inside is nice and clean. Very friendly, speak Spanish and English. Food is made fresh to order.

This place is literally a little hole in the wall located on the end of an old strip mall. The food is AMAZING & the prices are great. If you're in the mood for some delish Puerto Rican food you gotta check this place out!

Great restaurant for some downright Puerto Rican food. It is a small cafeteria style place in an old strip mall. The food was pretty legit. Carne frita was on point very flavorful and moist... I would've loved some sautéed onions on it though. The rice and beans were a bit bland... rice tasted like it was from a rice cooker and lacked some serious salt. However, the MOFONGO was amazing... it was seasoned with garlic and tiny bits of pork crackling... one of the best I've ever had! Prices were very reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Fried pork chops with the sides!!! Plus a pizza empanada just how I remember it from my childhood days!!

Great place to have a delicious Puerto Rican meal…read more Service was fast and efficient, no wait time when I arrived. Monday evening, holiday. Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

The food was mixed . - Alcapurrias : 5 stars crunchy, juicy, proper size and flavor. - pork chunks mofongo: 4 stars, great flavor. Huge pork portion. - shrimp mofongo creole sauce: 3 stars sauce was on the saltier side and once it reached the bottom of the mongo it was "just too much" - churrasco (kids): 3 stars. A bit overcooked (kid refused to eat it) but it was decent flavor and tenderness. - beans: 3 stars, too salty - white rice : 1 star, felt dry and grainy like day old rice from the fridge.

We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. The decor is fun and the wait staff super nice and patient with all our questions. They also have a separate ice cream shop across the parking lot.

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.
