Best trifongo in miami!!!!! This one is paired with garlic shrimp. So delicious!!!!
    Sally R.

Hands down the best trifongo I ever had. It has been very difficult for me to find some good traditional Puerto Rican food in Miami. Very strange but true... I'm so glad to have found this food truck located in Kendall. Ay Bendito is the real deal!  I tried a few items and enjoyed them all. Especially the trifongo! So l let me explain the difference. Mofongo--mashed fried plaintains--is a staple dish in Puerto Rico. Trifongo--a mix of green plantain, sweet plantain, and yuca--is a twist on the typical dish that adds some sweetness. When done right, like at this place, it has the right amount of sweet and salty.  At Ay Bendito, I swear they have a master's degree in cooking trifongo. My favorite dish is the trifongo with garlic shrimps. I enjoyed the texture and the hot garlic sauce. However, the other dishes made with mofongo and rice are also delicious. The churrasco (skirt steak) with mofongo is a great combination of flavors. I also enjoyed the tostones (fried plantains) with steak in criolla sauce, alcapurrias, sorullitos, tripleta, carne frita, and pasteles. Muy rico! For dessert, the traditional tembleque--a coconut pudding-- was a perfect way to end a great meal. All the dishes served here are very traditional Puerto Rican food. Real sazón Boricua!!! I love the fact that the entire operation is family run. You can feel the love they have for their food and their island. This food truck is a small and humble establishment but it is big in flavor and traditions. They even have some great Latin music playing in the background. My only suggestion is to improve their order and pay system because it gets confusing when there is a large crowd regarding who is paying and who is ordering.  I wish they were closer to downtown but for now I will continue to drive to Kendall during the weekends to have my taste of Puerto Rico. It is worth every bite. If you love real Boricua food, this is a must try.

The only thing I had the opportunity to try was the pastelillo de pizza and it was delicious! I can tell just from this treat that this is truly an authentic place. They make everything to order so make sure you have at least 5 minutes for the pastelillos and at least 15-20 for the good stuff! I cant wait to go back and try the entire rest of the menu.

WOW ! This food truck is off the hook. A local Puerto Rican food truck right by my neighbor hood ! No other place to get such great authentic Puerto Rican food! I know, all my friends who took me are Puerto Rican themselves and come here all the time to get a bite of their food ! The people were so helpful for a group of like 20 people ! I know they were working so hard to get all our orders in with good time and for that they are so worth it in my book ! I cannot wait to go back and try more food ! I highly recommend: Empanacita de pizza (I can eat about 10 of them on the spot) I also really enjoyed the patacon sandwich with steak just so messy haha but loved it !

This review is based on our personal experience and let me say, what a find! Ay Bendito! con Sabor a Puerto Rico "food truck" has now become our guilty pleasure every Thursday when they roll into town at the Pembroke Lakes Mall Farmer's Market. The food is amazingly fresh, authentically seasoned, and with generous portions. Place your order ahead of time and arrange the pick up time. They have implemented COVID measures to protect their employees and clientele including electronic payment for a virtually touch-less transaction and delivery to your car. So far we have tried the chicharrones de pollo, the fried pork chunks, the camarones al ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce), the pollo al grill (grilled chicken), the mofongo (the best I've had outside of Puerto Rico), the tri-fongo (an adventure in flavors you gotta experience), and the arroz con gandules. Everything we've had has been top-notch food. You can tell it is made with passion and love for the traditional dishes of the island and respect for the flavors of the local cuisine. Give them a call, try them out and prepare yourself to experience a gastronomic journey to Puerto Rico.

The real thing! The Fried Pork chunks are tasty and juicy. Excellent Mofongo (including Tri-fongo; with maduros and yucca). Delicious pork meat Alcapurrias and Sorullitos corn sticks. The day special was Cuajito; very tasty once you add their house "pique".... Get the Mamposteao rice; tasty and moisty.... Don't forget the Tembleque for dessert. All super fresh made on the spot; so be Patient... It's worthwhile.

At bendito siiiii.. The best Puerto Rican food I've had since I have been living in Miami in over two decades. This is what real Boricua food tastes like! We had to wait a little bit but because they cook everything on the spot. The best alcapurrias in town..you gotta try these.. wow is all I can say. I had the cuajito, carne frita con arroz con gandules and Julia Buitrago had the chicharrón de pollo con arroz con gandules. Jean Paul Senior had the mofongo. Five out of five stars in my book!

    Alcapurria
    Jackie L.

Food truck had better food than many restaurants! Alcapurria: mashed plantain stuffed with pork and deep fried. This was really good and fresh. It was really good with hot sauce they have in the table. Carne frita encebollada: deep friend pork chunks with perfectly cooked onions. I'm skeptical about eating pork anywhere other than my house but this was good quality pork and it was nice and crispy on the outside Mofongo: perfect flavor and texture. My favorite was when I got a bite of chicharrón with a little mofongo Arroz con gandules: THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. It was soft but not too soft where it's mushy, it had the perfect amount of condiments (flavor on point). Jugó de parcha: passion fruit juice was delicious and cold and just about the perfect way to bring down all the deliciousness. The serving of food is huge, the people are super nice, the truck is clean, and the music was good. Highly recommend you giving this food truck a go.

It comes to Pembroke Lakes Mall every Thursday and the food is excellent. It's as close to home as I can get.

No joke, folks! Delicious and heaven, at the same time. A little bit of a wait, but, hey... it's the weekend. Nothing wrong with waiting for good, fresh food. If you're looking for home style cooking... I don't care if you're Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican.., etc., this is the place. Chicharron De Pollo with Bifongo, Carne frita with Mofongo, Camarones With Trifongo, tostones rellonos with Churrasco, Arroz com gandules, arroz mamposteao, and an alcapurria... that unfortunately, didnt make it to picture time. Get a table, sit and wait for a taste bud explosion. Condiments at table. No frills, outside eating by Kendall Drive. Again, you won't be disappointed.

Great place to have a delicious Puerto Rican meal…read more Service was fast and efficient, no wait time when I arrived. Monday evening, holiday. Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

A bit overcooked (kid refused to eat it) but it was decent flavor and tenderness. - beans: 3 stars, too salty - white rice : 1 star, felt dry and grainy like day old rice from the fridge.
