Friends had the hot cakes, a little chewy, kinda bland...but, you've gotta try the liver mush...yes, different, but pretty tasty. Basically, liver mush fried on the grill. This place is awful!!! Their coffee is like sludge and their food equally disgusting. I would not recommend a rat eat there!

Two words: fried chicken If you get their fried chicken hot out of the pan..........it's as good as it gets. They serve a working mans lunch with meat & 2 (or 3). They have in season local veggies. Most days have a cobbler for desert. I drive there 20 miles sometimes for lunch. read more

Never was a diner kind of girl, yet a few have grown on me-including Victoria's. There aren't too many places where you get full off of $7/8 meal. The meat and two " Blue plate" comes with tea for $6.99. I have also tried their patty melts, burgers to salads. Dessert is mostly good, yet the last peach cobbler was a doughy mess and firm peaches. Overall service is good, yet there are a couple who are really good and remember your name/usual. Could work on having two cashiers for busy lunchtime. Line can be very backed up. If you expand more then add space for to-go orders. read more

Our first time at Victorias and we went for breakfast. We liked the easy seat your self atmosphere. The service was quick and attentive. But, oh the coffee. Best ever and mug was never empty. I go with my family every weekend, it has became a tradition. The food is never disappointing. The staff is always very friendly and it's always clean. You can get breakfast all day which is a plus, because they have amazing French toast. Or you can order lunch/dinner and the sides are different every day but every one of their sides are great. We have dinner and lunch here on a weekly basis and the food is fair. Service is decent. My kids love the pancakes. My husband likes the liver mush and egg sandwich. I've tried several things off the menu and the chalkboard. Favorite items are the smothered grilled chicken sandwich w fries and ranch dressing, grilled fish with red potatoes and green beans and fried chicken. Veggies are moderate. Veggie soup is basically cabbage soup. Nice taste but I'm not a fan of cabbage. Mac and cheese is never fresh and has too much "cheep" cheese that doesn't melt. The waitresses are nice and helpful. Tremendous diner food. Don't worry about the ambience and the presentation. Focus on the food, and the super-friendly folks that serve it. Just what you should expect from a small, Southern diner on the main corner of town. Love their pimento cheeseburger and their chicken salad sandwich. Their specials daily are always good, with a meat and 2-3 vegetables. If they have peanut butter pie, try it. It's tasty. If you are a regular and they know you, you MIGHT get decent service. Otherwise, they will act like you are a lepper and it will take forever to get basic service like drink order, food order, food delivery, the check, etc. The food is ok, nothing to really write home about. Went for breakfast yesterday. Service was horrible. My husband and I walked in, right after another couple. While the other couple had their drinks and menus, we were still waiting. Tables were getting their coffees topped off while we still waited to place our order. Three more tables came in all were served and eating while we still waited for our breakfast to show up. After I mentioned this to the server she stated 'Well it all depends on what you order', really? Not getting a menu while the tables after us were served depended on what we ordered? And on top of that we ordered a simple one egg, bacon and toast for me and my husband a western omelet no cheese (how simple is that??) and the omelet came with cheese. Stopped in on a recent Sunday for breakfast about 10:00. It was fairly busy but I didn't have to wait and a lot of the tables filled up after I came in. I ordered a combination breakfast that had hashbrowns peppers onions mushrooms cheddar cheese and eggs on top. It was a big portion, everything was cooked well and it was delicious. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant and I didn't feel rushed. It's a hole in the wall and very rustic with large black boards in the two dining room areas that advertise the menu and specials. My only negatives are that it could use some updating of the decor and the menus need to be reprinted. They are very old and a little dirty and falling apart. I am usually very forgiving when it comes to service. I realize everyone has bad days. However, there is a difference between bad days and "just dont give a damn". Arrived and did not see the sign that said "please seat yourself" because it was behind you when you.walked in the door. Stood at the register while.several.employees and the owner walked by and just looked at me.and my family. I had heard that the food was excellent. It better be! After.finally having a customer inform us that it was seat yourself, we chose a table, then the wait began. It probably would not have bothered me as much if I would not have had to walk AROUND an employee who looked at me like I had four heads because she was standing her fat ass in the middle of the isle carrying on a personal conversation. I can understand being friendly toward regular customers, but not at the cost of new customers. After getting seated the waitress came and got the drink order rather quickly... that is when the waiting began. Stopping and talking seemed to be the norm for everyone who worked here. "Customers be damned, I have a personal life to talk about here!" The group sitting at the next booth made note of having to wait so long to get cold food, then having parts of the order missing, and still being charged for them. All four ordered deserts and coffee, none of them received them, yet they were on the bill. That will be my last trip there. My food was cold when it came to the table, and was not particularly good. read more
