Well a group of us ate here last night. Our server was friendly and attentive so giving it a 3 for service. Food was a 2 - 2 1/2 stars. Not that great. Overly huge portions. We celebrated my neice & nephew's graduation from Lawrence at Victoria's Italian Cuisine and it was DELICIOUS! The only downside for us is that we live in California and this place is in Wisconsin. The service is exceptional, the ambiance is cozy and the food was delicious. The portions are HUGE, so you can definitely share a meal. At the end of our celebration, the owners introduced themselves and congratulated the graduates. I highly recommend dining here if you're ever in the area. read more

OMG. So good! Nice decor, lovely classical music playing gently in background. Well lit, but not overly bright. Seating was quick (they don't take reservations), bread and drinks came quickly. We both had minestrone to start - hot and delicious! We had eggplant parmigiana and tortellini Giovanni. Huge portions! Perfectly timed after soup. Utterly delicious. Ive seen a lot of rough reviews so I wasn't expecting much. But luckily my waitress was very friendly, the garlic bread was to die for, and the main course of my Shrimp Scampi came out pretty and tasted great!!! I will have leftovers as well because they definitely do not cheap out on the customer! The spot was comfortable and while everyone says the flooring and booths are old which I understand, they were clean and everything went great! Went here on 4/6/2024. I used to live in Appleton. A close friend said they wanted 'Italian food'. We both agreed on the place we would go to. Victorias is about as good as it gets. I got something simple. A one topping pizza. No soup or salad b4. I love supporting local. Wow, I forgot how good this place was and always will be. Seated right away. My friend just got Alfredo. Everything at this place is 'authentic' from the sauces to the pasta they make right at this place. To just say 'it's good' means u need to go experience this for yourself. It won't break the bank. Prices are so reasonable. I will be going back soon, and get the chicken parmesan. I can't wait to go back. Love this place: always will. The inside is always clean and u are waited in right away. We love Victorias Italian Cuisine! I have been going to Victorias for at least twenty years or more. The service has always been excellent and I love the painted walls of little Italian scenes, lovely. The food is so delicious and the portions are quite large. I usually get two meals out of an order here! The prices are very reasonable and the desserts are quite tasty as well...mmmm... I was sad when I heard the location in DePere closed years ago, I never got to go to this location. Now that I live in Green Bay, that would have been nice and convenient. However, Appleton is still open and is run by the same family. What a great story to read about as well. A restaurant with a real history behind it, I love that. We had food delivered to our hotel room. I'd actually give the rating 4.5 stars if it was possible. My husband had the Combo Calzone and I had the Ravioli Funche with Chicken. We were surprised by the portions when our delivery arrived. The garlic bread, chunky marinara sauce, grated parm, and lettuce salad were all flavorful and a treat. My husband said he really enjoyed the calzone; it was cooked properly and had the right amount of filling. The flavor of my Ravioli Funche was really yummy, but the chicken was in a separate container and in thin filets, so it was pretty dry by the time I got it and I had to cut it up and add it to my entree. read more

Fabuloso! I perform with the Master Singers of Milwaukee group and we were in Appleton this past weekend for the WCDA - Wisconsin Choral Directors Association conference. We had the privilege of being one of the choirs to sing at the event. Victoria's was recommended as a place to go for lunch and what a recommendation that turned out to be. Our group has between 70 - 90 performers, however, a group of about 22 of us went to the restaurant. As they don't take reservations, they were given a heads up that a group would be coming in, but not how many of us there would be. It didn't matter, the staff was so accommodating. Everyone was delighted by their selections, but after enjoying their large pieces of garlic bread, along with a soup or salad, when the entrees, which were huge portions came out, many of us were full already. Needless to say, after our first few bites, we all left with leftovers. Saved my husband from having to cook dinner that night! The prices are very reasonable also. If they weren't a 2 hour drive for us, I would certainly frequent them! They are definitely worth the trip when you are in the area! read more

Someone highly recommended the lasagna froM this place on Facebook saying they make a 2 hour round trip drive for it. I knew when I was in Oshkosh today that we'd be picking this up to go for dinner tonight. I placed the order over the phone, you'll Dave money because the online ordering is powered through eat streets and prices are raised. The lasagna dinner is massive! And it is so good! They give you plenty of sauce which is great since I like to dip my garlic bread in it. I am very much looking forward to when we are in more stable environment and can dine in person safely. Tried to eat there today. 1/28/24. I think the food was rotten. The Alfredo sauce was terrible. The chicken In the Alfredo was such poor quality. The other dish was noodles with a sauce that was so overwhelming that it looked like soup. The wait staff was bad. And you could hear all the waitstaff in the kitchen talking so loud that you could hear all about their weekend. There was nothing good about it. read more

I come here every once in a while with my husband because the food really is delicious. The service... not so great. However, we were in 2 weeks ago and got a server that explained that she was brand new. I believe her name was Melony (spelling?). She was AMAZING. She made sure we had everything we needed before we even realized we needed it. She was kind and professional and very funny. We came back last night hoping to end up in her section again but were surprised to see her behind the bar. She, once again, explained that she was new to the bar. That was her first night training. If you are looking for a restaurant with a classic Italian feel and GIGANTIC portions, Victoria's is an excellent choice. It is located in a nice area of Appleton on College Ave. As you walk in, you definitely feel like you are being brought back in time a bit. We sat at a booth that was really comfortable. They have a nice drink list. I had a glass of Chianti while my brother had a beer. The menu is huge with many Italian choices--but they provide some guidance by providing photos of some of the dishes. For starters, I had the salad while my brother had the minestone soup. Both were pretty average. For the salad, they brought out the bottles of oil and vinegar which I had not seen for years--but liked. They also set out garlic bread which is very good--but be careful not to eat too much because you will need your appetite later. We both went with the pasta option--where you pick the pasta, the sauce, then can pay extra for meat choices. I ordered the rigatoni with pepper and onion sauce, then I ordered both the Italian sausage and meatballs because i wanted to try them both. My brother had the chicken parmesan over angel hair (chicken parm you taste so good). When they brought out our dishes, I thought there was a mix up and it was meant for a party of twenty. Our food came in nice, giant white bowls. Mine game with two giant meatballs and three nice-sized Italian sausages. This was an unbelievable bargain--both meat dishes just cost an additional two dollars. This would have made sense if they tasted like they came out of a gas station, but they were both outstanding--particularly the meatballs. I am not sure if they were all beef or included some veal, but they were seasoned well and very tasty. The pasta sauce was very nice also, with fresh slices of onion and peppers. The pasta itself was naturally good also, but just so much. I ate a ton of it and felt I did not make a dent. I tried my brother's chicken parm and that tasted really nice also, The breading was perfect and they flattened the chicken just right. Service was interesting. At a table near ours, the waiter must have spent 15 minutes talking to his table about what to get. Our waiter on the other hand was very efficient, just taking orders quickly and then moving on. They have a nice dessert menu, but I cannot imagine eating this. Our stomachs were way to full. I will definitely be back next time I am in Appleton--but might bring a couple other people and four of us could share the same meal. read more

This place is so horrible, like so many other restaurants in the state. I guess the general population of Wisconsin doesn't know what real food is. The prices are way too high, not tasty. I wouldn't want to see their kitchen, I'm sure Robert Irvine would shut the place down. Ripped benches, the paint is peeling off the walls, the floors are dirty. With the aforementioned items, can you imagine how dirty the kitchen is? That's what customers don't see. Haven't been there in a long time. I was so disgusted last time I was there. Now I heard they've raised their prices and no longer have a lunch menu. Obviously there are a lot of stupid people out there that are keeping them afloat. The place needs to be shut down. read more

We used to come here all the tome but the last few times the service and food has declined. Tonight our server was not friendly and didn't listen to us. When she camw to deliver our food, mine had chicken on it and it wasn't supposed to. She said I'll be right back. 10 minutes later she told me that they were remaking my food. She gave my food to another table. When she brought my food back, I wad finding chicken pieces in my meal. When I asked her if they just took the chicken off instead of remaking me the food I ordered, she said she'd talk to them. Nothing more was ever said. My husbands food was cold and not cooked all the way. When he told the server she just walked away. We have made the decision to not return. It's not worth the money or the time. read more

We were in town for Wicked at the Performing Arts Center. The dining room was full so we elected to sit at the bar to eat. Michael was the Commander in Chief of the bar! He was very kind and kept a brisk pace of making drinks for the restaurant as well as bar patrons, taking our dinner order with a smile. Food was delicious with very large portions! After hearing good reviews about Victoria's at College Avenue, I decided to visit the place. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster. The restaurant has beautiful interiors and good service. But the food was NOT GOOD. I ordered the lasagna as you can see in the attached picture. However, the moment it came to my table, it had a stinky cheese smell. Still, I went ahead and tasted it but couldn't go in for another bite. I told my server and she replied - It is fresh! So somehow, I ate three -fourth of lasagna because I hate to waste food. But couldn't muster up the courage to finish it. The taste was not good at all. Sadly, I left the restaurant disappointed. The first time ever that I did so. But things turned from bad to worse as I suffered from food poisoning and trips to bathroom the entire night. Indeed, this has to be my worst experience ever in my life. read more

What a fall from grace! This restaurant used to be one of the greatest Italian dinner places in Appleton and the surrounding area. When my wife and I discovered it over 10 years ago, we were absolutely amazed at how well the food tasted. Every visit demonstrated the same level of quality and professionalism; Victoria's could do no wrong. Now, something has changed. I went there tonight after being gone for over 4 years and what a shame. My plate, Oscar Fettichine with chicken came out super fast and super hot. It tasted like it had been microwaved. I ordered a Sicilian Tortellini for my wife and daughter back home and when I gave it to them to try, the level of salt in the food was unbearable and inedible. Someone must have dumped an entire salt shaker on this entree. The ambience of the restaurant has taken a turn for the worst. Plastic menus make it feel like your eating at a diner; not an established upscale restaurant. Food items have been removed such as the bread plate before your meal. Nobody (empty tables and empty chairs for miles around) in the restaurant on a Friday night, wait staff huddled in the waiting area with nothing to do. Makes a person wonder what happened to this place. Disgusting! Don't know the reason for the change but never going back. Would advise anyone looking for good food to go elsewhere. read more
