Good experience when staying in Regina for a night. The food was good, the drink was good. I would come back.

Food was ok but very simple. Beer was good for a tavern. Very noise place. Great service spéciale in the Small room close to the bar.

I was at Victorias tavern last night, hoping to end my night good. I was met with a very rude bartender. When he was checking my id, he took my id out of my hands before I even had the time to flip it around for him to check. He check my friends id like any normal bartender, didn't take her from her hands rudely and looked at it from a distance. The only time he was actually being polite like any server should be is when I pulled out my wallet and paid for our drinks, only than he treated me with kindness and respect. I thanked him politely and greeted him politely, I don't know what I did to provoke such treatment especially whenever I've never been before. read more

Absolutely spectacular! We grabbed food to go here and knew it was going to be an excellent stop when the waitress taking our order was pleasant and understanding of the dairy allergy. We got the birria tacos and short rib beef dip. Wow! Both were delicious and full of flavor. The au jus with the beef dip was outstanding and perfectly complimented an already delicious sandwich. Overall a great, character filled pub complimented by tasty food! From entry, this pub seems like the sort of place that probably makes a great burger. upon this expectation, they certainly deliver. What else can be said? Food: 7/10 I got the Vic's Royale with the house soup, and my wife ordered The Mushroom Swiss burger with house fries. Both burgers definitely delivered! Though messily constructed, the burgs really packed a flavourful punch, aptly reflecting the pub atmosphere and complimenting the experience as a whole. My soup was a bit cold and the fries could stand more seasoning, but the apex of the meals, the burgers, stood out as exemplary. Service: 7/10 We arrived during lunch hour, and the place was packed! Regardless, a server met us at the door, gave us an accurate estimate of a wait time, and got us comfortably seated as soon as she could. Hard to judge service beyond this, since she seemed otherwise quiet busy. Still, we received our food with 20-25 minutes of ordering, and were satisfied with this. Ambiance: 8/10 The aesthetics of the pub had a ton of character. Shoots for a maximalist decorative style which matches the food and tavern 'vibe' nicely. We were in Regina for a night when driving across Canada and stopped in here for dinner. We went with the #GC365 sandwich which was grilled cheese with poutine and chicken tenders, buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and an appetizer of the mac and cheese egg rolls. The egg rolls were a little bland. I liked the buffalo chicken mac and cheese and I loved the #GC365 sandwich. It was a large cheesey sandwich with great flavor. All appetizers are half price during happy hour which is every day from 3-6. Great deal. Our waitress was very friendly. The service was a little slow, but not unacceptable. We were asked if we wanted gravy with the fries and said sure but weren't warned that that is a $3 upcharge. Oh well. This is a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. read more

Vic's offers classic comfort food -- such as a daily grilled cheese special, 20+ beers on tap and a wide selection of liquors and cocktails. They provided great service to my family while we found ourselves in Regina. We ordered the Mac and cheese egg rolls, buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and their daily grilled cheese special which was called the Chicken Bite Poutine Grilled Cheese. I enjoyed all of it but I the real highlight was the featured grilled cheese. It's different everyday but it's always good. read more

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Yes, this is a bar with bar food but not your average bar food! Victoria's Tavern is known for their grilled cheese and man I was not disappointed. They have what they call a "GC 365" a different grilled cheese is on the menu 365 days a year! PARKING: Street Parking only, free after 6pm. SERVICE: Excellent very attentive! ATMOSPHERE: After all, this is a bar but NOT a DIVE BAR. I loved the consistent theme of Queen Victoria memorabilia that filled each wall. It definitely kept you interested in looking around. Natural light pours through the large windows and the wood work is nicely done. The large back wall of the ball filled with spirits is impressive. Washrooms: Clean, Multiple stalls, separated by gender FOOD Appetizer: Vic's Tater Tots - ooey gooey goodness. Heavy, just enough for 2 people to not spoil your meal. The tater tots are smothered in a queso cheese, cheddar cheese, topped with thick bacon pieces, sour cream and scallions. Something tells me these might be home made tater tots? Maybe. I ordered the classic grilled cheese $13 CAD and it did not disappoint. On sourdough bread, just the right amount of cheese, the bread was pan toasted just enough with some butter I'm sure. One of the best Grilled Cheese I've ever had. The GC comes with your choice of 1 side. I chose veggies and dip; however you could have chosen mixed greens, fries etc. The GC 365 of the day was fried chicken tenders with pico de gallo, and queso cheese. If I ever happen to be in Regina again I would definitely return! I wouldn't come here on a first date per say because it has the tendency to get very crowded and loud, but perhaps a 2nd or 3rd date this would be perfect especially if you're looking for something more laid back. This place is absolutely brutal, rude service and we will not be going there again. We were in town for a convention and the establishment was only half full, 7 of us came in to enjoy a meal and drink on the patio. We were told the patio was full. We ventured out and the patio was only half to 2/3 of the patio occupied. We sat out there for at least 15 minutes and we're walked by several times and was only looked upon with scowls and dirty looks. I was staying in a hotel close by and walked to this great pub. Lot's of TV with all the games on. I had hot wings and a cold beer. They tasted great so I ordered more it took a while to get a second order. It was quite popular spot, I enjoyed my visit and would go again. read more

Every time I drive through Regina I have to stop here and have the buffalo Mac and cheese with bacon on it!! The atmosphere is really relaxing during the day, but it does get a little louder during the night. They also have an small patio section which is nice during the sunny days. Lively awesome bar in a heritage building, full of people on a snowy night. There are few good late night options in Regina, but belIeve the reviews,, tthis place serves fresh comfort food and a not overly long list of craft brews, but certainly enough, with Black Bridge Common on tap, and it's great. Was visiting Regina and decided to check out this place after some researching on yelp. Was told the to go with the burgers so I got the French onion stuffed burger. Flavours were good and portion size was adequate. Was hoping the French onion was going to be stuffed in the burger patty but it was on top of it. The cheddar bun was made a big difference in the taste of the burger. Was chunchy and gave the burger a more cheesy flavour. read more

Victoria pub has only been opened for approximately a month and I must say our group was impressed. What used to be a small bank, over the years was transformed into a restaurant, and for the most part its preserved it interior architecture. Firstly the place is spotless! the interior, restrooms, and patio areas were clean! Though we were the only group sitting out in the patio we were hesitant about the quality of service we'd be receiving, but we were wrong! our server was extremely friendly, attentive, and most of all very personable, no too personable that it was awkward, but she made us feel like we were regulars. That in my books was a PLUS! For drinks my coworker and I ended up trying a local Saskatoon beer, I forgot which though :( As for the food, our entourage ordered beef n cheese sandwich, and chicken n waffles! I on the other hand, after contemplating ordered their popular in-house made Reuben sandwich with a side order of salad! Perfect crunch to the bread as where most places its charred! equal balance of flavors, not too salty, but tender, and an overall joy to consume! by the time I was done, there wasn't room for any dessert, but still had a smile on my face. read more
