I took it to a mechanic where I live (FL), and got the shifter fixed. $800 job. that was fixed but the shifting issues came back almost immediately, and this time accompanied by a chirping sound. I took the truck back & my mechanic asked more questions about the work I'd gotten done. I hadn't owned a car in the last 10 years so I didn't know anything. He encouraged me to call them and find out what kind of work was done so they could see if it was related to that and if there was a warranty on it. I called and got a rude person who made sure to tell me that they aren't the same ownership "so WEEE didn't do any work on the truck," she said. I asked if she could get me the information, she put me on hold for 10 minutes, then we got... disconnected. I called right back and got somebody much nicer, who told me what work they did, but was unable to email me any of the information and I guess also unable to find somebody who could do so for her. My mechanic had to call them to get them to send along the information we needed. Turns out all the issues were from the shoddy first job. Great. Better still, it would be covered by the warranty. Turns out labor there was like $300 cheaper than the place I go to now, so I'm not saying you get what you pay for. More that Precise offers a good value when they do the job well (new management, so maybe they do) I understand new ownership means that's not their fault. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they didn't do the shoddy work. They just wouldn't help me at all when I needed them to. My truck is running great now, so I hope you find a mechanic as good as the one I have now. Maybe it's Precise. I don't know.

I brought my African American coworker to his shop for an A/C compressor repair. While we were in the lobby, LJ became very confrontational during a general conversation and used excessive profanity toward him. Despite that behavior, my coworker still allowed him to complete the A/C compressor job. LJ kept the vehicle for approximately five hours and later called to say the repair was complete. We arrived at the shop, paid $3,500, and LJ stated that the repair included a six-month warranty. However, immediately after leaving the shop, the vehicle was still blowing hot air. My coworker made a U-turn and returned to the shop to explain the issue. At that point, LJ became extremely aggressive, yelling and using profanity, stating that they had "just put a new compressor in." My coworker calmly responded by saying that since the repair was under warranty, he simply wanted the issue checked. LJ refused to inspect the vehicle and stated that he was not pulling the car back into the shop, telling him to "go somewhere else." In my opinion, the repair was overpriced, the customer service was unacceptable, and the interaction gave the impression that he was not welcoming or respectful toward people of color. Based on this experience, I would recommend others stay away.

They managed to finish the inspection at about 9am with a pass. However, they found a small leak in my power steering fluid hose. He called me and I accepted that they go ahead and order the hose and I'd get it done there. I am very pleased with the service I received and how knowledge Ken was with my car. He also took pictures of the hose and everything surrounding it so hubby could see for himself. Side story: I had taken my vehicle to another shop close to work and they quoted me $700 for the job. They did not explain anything to me and quite frankly I wanted another opinion). I will be coming here from now on! I also like the idea that they are local being 2 minutes down the road from me, and they've been in business for many years and not a big box company.

I also asked them to attach the skid plate and change the fluids. They had my car all day with no phone call. At 4 pm, I called and was told they only had one person who could do inspections and he was at another location, but everything else was done. Fine. I left it overnight again. The next day, still no phone call. At 2 pm, I called to check in. They told me the inspection still wasn't done because the guy was still at the other site. I calmly asked if they had called him to let him know my car was waiting. The response I got was, "You can come pick up your car!" I was stunned. I said I never said I needed the car! I was simply wondering why it was taking two days. This experience felt incredibly unprofessional. No communication, no urgency, and an attitude on top of it. And here's the kicker: I paid $65 for them to "attach" the skid plate. I drove home (two miles away) and immediately heard it dragging. I called them, and they said, "You need a new skid plate!" That may be true, but I should be refunded because whatever they did clearly didn't hold. I took pictures of their so-called repair: two zip ties. That's right! $65 for two zip ties that didn't even last two miles. They had my car for two days, with a lift, full view, tools, and my money, and this was the result.
