***Very disappointing experience with a Victory Home Remodeling salesperson.*** A salesperson from Victory Home Remodeling came to my home and, after I made it clear that I was not interested in purchasing anything, continued using what I felt were outdated and unnecessarily aggressive sales tactics. What makes this especially frustrating is that he was dealing with someone who has managed sales compensation and commissions for some of the largest companies in the world. I'm very familiar with professional sales organizations, effective sales practices, and what good salesmanship looks like. Aggressive pressure, bragging about personal sales numbers, and disrespecting a customer are not examples of best-in-class sales. When I told him there would be no sale, he responded by telling me that Victory was the top-selling window / renovation company in NJ and that he had personally sold more than $3 million worth of renovations, as though those claims should somehow change my decision. The interaction became increasingly uncomfortable, including rude and inappropriate language, to the point that I was uncomfortable having him remain at my home. What was most disturbing, however, was what happened as he was leaving. I have a lawn sign supporting Charlie Kirk, and the salesperson made multiple mocking comments about Kirk's death as he walked away. Regardless of anyone's political views, mocking someone's death while leaving a customer's home is completely inappropriate and deeply unprofessional. Is this really the type of behavior Victory Home Remodeling wants representing the company at people's homes? If this salesperson considers himself one of your top salespeople, I would strongly encourage management to take a serious look at how he is representing your company and treating potential customers. We had Victory install new windows, roof, gutters, and soffits. When we scheduled the work we were told that they clean up and leave everything cleared up. The outside was fine. We found a few nails and pieces of debris, but that is to be expected. However the inside of the attic was not cleaned up at all. My parents just got all new gutters put on as well a window replacement. They have 2 issues that they have called MULTIPLE times about and either get put on hold for over an hour, told they will call them back, or they don't answer. Called the main number and the salesman's number so nothing. So my 70 yr old father had to go up a ladder to try to fix the one gutter area so that the new roof that was put on that area not long ago wasn't ruined because of it. Their recruiter completely crashed out on me for not being willing to commute an hour daily. We had a whole nice narrative going on and everything with some exceptional circumstances in my life too, but the moment I expressed some concern over the wear on my car he not only assured me that the job was to pay for it and that the travel need not be reimbursed, but he insulted me and hung up. Can't make that kinda service up. Think their recruiters are too used to hiring desperate people and don't really think about turn-over rate. I was nice about it, but I stood up and I pointed to the door and he said you need to go then he's still insisted after I told him for the last 20 minutes that I did not want to use the service and I wasn't interested anymore because of the two prices in the extremely high price thank God I did not commit to anything because after looking at some of the reviews this company is shady at best would not recommend they call the next day and ask me how things went and when I told them they said they already knew and they weren't interested so Customer Service is terrible. Have interacted with the company on 2 separate occasions. I agreed to a consultation/meeting to discuss window replacement with a meeting confirmed mid-morning, the next morning. The confirmation procedure had the sales guy call in to a scheduling department and confirm on the spot date and time. This is where the problem starts. I will focus on my most recent experience which was this morning. Meeting scheduled for 10am today to discuss window replacement for my house. At 7:44am today I get a call to confirm my appoint and ask questions. The guy on the phone (named Sam) failed in the most fundamental of sales approaches. Listening to the prospective customer. I asked they simply come at the agreed upon time and we can discuss then. This was not acceptable and he insisted on asking the questions. I reminded him of the time and that he woke me up with his call.... He called back approximately 8:45-9am again to confirm and ask.... Once again, I advised 10am is good time and we can discuss then. He again insisted on asking questions and would not stop talking nor listen to me. The conversation quickly devolved into him and I both talking over one another. He ultimately hung up on me after I told him he wouldn't shut up long enough for me to get a word in edgewise. It was disappointing as I really am thinking of getting new windows.... The experience prior to that described above was very similar. The lack of savvy sales skills is apparent. 1) Persist and control the conversation. 2) Blindly adhere to the procedure. 3) Talking is more important than listening. I would never buy product from this company based on the lack of professionalism displayed by the customer facing staff. We asked for someone to come give us a free estimate for siding on our house. The woman came out and stayed for 3.5 hours, wouldnt leave even after my mother in law called me with an emergency. She gave us a 56k estimate for siding and then said she could lower it with all these bogus programs she magically got us approved for, lowered it to 30k. When we said we needed time to think it over, she said the offer was only valid while she was there so we needed to make a decision NOW. We couldnt get her to take no for an answer and my husband finally told her he felt very pushed and would like her to leave. It ruined our whole day and was so astronomically priced. I decided to go with victory because I knew I needed new gutters, and they actually weren't too pushy on trying to convince me to do other work. The price was fine, but they insisted on doing the whole thing within a week, which I hadn't planned for. They did the actual install on a saturday, without asking if that was okay, even though being stuck home all day on a saturday was really inconvenient. I had gotten a call from a guy named Kevin, who said he was the project manager, and he told me how everything would go. He was never on site. Nobody from Victory was ever on site. A company called SWJ did all of the actual work, and at the end of the day, one of the workers asked me to sign off on things without reviewing the work. I did a walk around, and then work looked alright, so I signed, but nobody from Victory came by until several days later to pick up a check. Nobody cared how the work was, nobody asked me if I had any comments or concerns, they were just wanted to get paid, and they didn't care if they did a good job or not. After the work was done, I got 7 texts and 5 phone calls in the next three days about their ambassador program for referrals, always talking to an AI chatbot. I told them to stop calling me, which they kind of did, but I still get two calls a month. Because I said to stop calling me though, they blocked my phone number, so I cannot actually call the company. A few weeks later, I realized that they misaligned some flashing, and had actually dumped a bunch of nails and debris under some pavers. I had to send an email, to complain about it, and they did come out not that much later to clean things up and fix the flashing. Maybe my job wasn't big enough for them to care, but I would NEVER recommend them to anyone, they were an absolute pain to deal with, they subcontracted the ENTIRE job, and once they have your business, they will not communicate with you at all. I have a "No Peddling" sign on my front door that the Town Of Hempstead sent me for their no solicitating program that I requested to be in. Solicitors are not allowed to knock or ring my doorbell or anyone else's house who has that sign. The ballsy guy named David still rang my bell with the sign clearly right in front of his face. I will be reporting them to TOH and they will be getting a fine for disturbing my peace. These salesman are like roving vultures walking up and down my block all the time waiting for one sucker to just say "Yes". They hire out sub contractors and don't even do the work themselves. They probably pick up day laborers from the Home Depot parking lot that they sub the work out to. But the sale's pitch was horrible. The quote was for 13,000 more than the average per square foot i found online but if I decided today they would knock off 10K. I was pretty direct telling him his sales tatics was a total turn off and now even if its raining in my house I wouldnt call them. It doesnt end there. The night started with an actual show, he came in with his sales face on and the most non-human pitch. It sounded like I had an AI human inside of my house. He showed us powerpoints after powerpoints about stuff that, to be frank, I could care less about. Then he went and did an "inspection" of our home. He made everything out to be worse than it was. As young homeowners, I was so upset and worried about this brand new home I purchased. He went in my attic and caused an actual scene. Black mold everywhere this and that. Low and behold we called a mold expert, no mold. Told us the roof was going to collapse with the next snowstorm on Sunday. If your sales tactic is to scare homeowners, you are a disgrace of a company. He changed his entire demeanor after being in our attic and seeing our roof. He was so angry that he actually started to talk to us like we were incompetent. Unfortunately, he didn't realize he was dealing with a highly educated young woman and a tradesman. We called his bullshit before he could even write us a quote which we knew was going to be a joke. He went out to his car to go get his props to try to wow us on the roof installation, that undoubtedly he learned in an online teaching and powerpoints. He gave us an estimate after 3 hours of the show he put on, $60,000 but if we sign today it's $50,000 and at that point I was pissed. So I spent an hour trying to chew him down even more just to waste his time as he had wasted so much of ours. 4 hours in total and he left with his head down. Chewed him down to $43,000, so if you have better judgment don't call these people. If you don't, try chewing them down, because $60,000 for a roof is beyond words. Call a local contractor. The person who comes and does an estimate on your home should have calluses and dirty hands. Not a computer and 0 real knowledge on what it is they're talking about. DO NOT use this company!! We requested an appointment to get an estimate- the salesman did not leave our house for FIVE hours! He left our house at 9pm, in which he came back to try and give us a lower price after we previously said we would think about it. We got a full PowerPoint presentation after him being here for 4 hours, and then the partner with him just sat on her phone the entire time. For new siding, a roof and windows (we don't even need), we were quoted at over $160K. Our jaws hit the floor, and he kept trying to make us feel bad for not signing, that we weren't taking care of our investment. He even went around to measure everything and take a look, and started pulling up the trim around our windows to look underneath, so now we have to get that replaced. A year ago, we decided to get estimates for a new roof for our home. I was a retired businessman for a couple years and had nothing but time on my hands to get educated on roofing materials and manufacturers. My wife said to me "become a roofing expert." I'd met with about 15 roofing contractors at my house before the wife and I settled on one awesome company and couldn't be more pleased. The salesman actually said to me "you really know your roofs and materials and could probably be a salesman for us." We both laughed. One of the contractors we met with was Victory Home Remodeling. OMG! The salesman, a 25 year old African- American fellow came and I just couldn't get him to leave until 3 hours of high pressure sales tactics had passed. He had given me an estimate of $63,000+ for a new roof on a 2200 square foot home. The sales guy even said to me "I think you're lying to me" when I said I need to discuss this with my wife. At that point I said I think it's time for you to pack up and leave now. Then it was another 15-20 mins before he left. They still call, text, email (I block them everywhere) and today two black guys from Victory stopped by unannounced pounding on my door soliciting. I kept it to the Ring Doorbell for communication to tell them we weren't interested as I definitely don't want to engage with these scammers in person. You shouldn't either. Was looking to get some windows done, and Victory happened to be canvassing my area. I set up an appointment for 6 o'clock the following evening. I received a call in the afternoon to verify that I would be home. Inspector showed up on time and she was very pleasant and informative. We were about 20 minutes into our conversation when she said she was going to go out and get her flashlight and tape measure so she could do some measuring and inspecting. I remained in my house figuring I'd let her do her thing. About a half hour went by when I was curious to see how much progress she had made. I went outside and her car was gone! I checked my camera, and when she said she was going to get her tools 30 minutes prior, she got into her car and drove away. No inspection, no explanation, nothing. Bizarre. Husband explained we would not be siding our house but the rep would not take no for an answer. He kept insisting that we could finance the huge price and wanted to come back inside to discuss. This went on for another hour. My husband could not get this guy to leave and he would not read the room. It got so bad that my husband literally said I NEED YOU TO LEAVE. I understand they are trying to sell their service and products but it felt like they were not at all listening to our needs and rather dismissing what we were saying. We let them in about 9 months ago, they stayed for 3 hours of coercion. The $42k for 6 basic windows with financing is BANANAS. Even without any financing, the prices aren't great. I was coerced into a mild tentative "yes" thinking it was a different company last week. Found out it was the same company and they have called me 30 times in 3 days all from different numbers so I can't block them. Victory was suppose to be supplying window estimate for my house. Their consultant Alex Archibald came claiming to be giving me a window inspection in the rain. Alex pulled on the window panel outside to the room my daughter was working. This allowed for water to get behind the panel and cause the outlets under the window to fail. When I called HQ to tell them what happen, they just claim that that would have happened eventually anyway. They refuse to accept the responsibility of their consultant and repair those outlet. So I am doing everything that I am able to, as a 66 year old veteran, that I am able to do since they refuse to repair the 2 outlets under that window. After hours of waiting for a call back...no callback was provided! just now New Totally satisfied with Victory! There were no problems from the initial contact to an estimate to completion of my new siding. Everyone involved in the job has been polite, transparent, and well informed. I'm most pleased with the quality of materials and warranty. The job was completed in 5 days, the workers cleaned up everything, and the job looks beautiful. The best bonus is the temperature inside the kitchen cabinet and the microwave is no longer 40°.
