This is one of my absolute favorite places to visit when I'm in Miami! I am also in Miami every 3 to 4 months and their food is insane! The atmosphere and the food and the drink drinks will have you in heaven plus you never know who you're going to meet or see! I have tried everything from their oxtails, which is seasonal, to their lobster, fried rice, and all of their appetizers. I thoroughly enjoy their jerk, chicken egg rolls along with their crab fried rice with the salmon and the sauce that comes with it is impeccable. If you like hookah, you will be pleasantly surprised. Came to Victory to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We had a 10 PM reservation and ended up being 15 minutes late so we had to wait to be seated which is completely understandable for a Saturday night. Inside was a vibe with restaurant seating and club lighting. The DJ was on point and really set the atmosphere which was appreciated. The highlight of the night was the food. I went with the honey jerk wings and steak fried rice. Both were really good but that steak fried rice was amazing!! Seasoned and cooked well. The drinks were good and left you wanting another one. I live in DC and enjoyed my expierence. I heard rave reviews about the Miami location. I scheduled reservations for 7 on my arrival on a Thursday. We arrived and needed to wait on our friends to join. Took a few pictures outside the establishment as they have a tent area near the entrance. The greater was nice and took a few pictures for us as well. Eventually we were seated inside. It is dimly lit on the inside and each table has a lamp. Makes for a nice intimate feel however they do have a DJ and music playing. There was a photographer that walks around to take pictures as well. She did a good job as we bought 2 of the photos. We ended up ordering the crab fries as an appetizer and my wife ordered a lemon drop. The crab fries were GREAT!! Nice size portion. Great for an appetizer. The lemon drop was good according to her as well. For dinner we ordered stuffed salmon entree and the seafood Alfredo. The salmon was seasoned well however the rice was overcooked. The seafood pasta wasn't feeling at all. Didn't taste that well either. The seafood was definitely lacking. It was hot but missing some flavor and filling. Such a vibe from start to finish! We went a little early and it was a medium crowd, but by mid-evening the place was packed...even on a weekday. The DJ? Flawless. Every single song hit. I seriously wanted his playlist. The food was amazing...my salmon was flavorful, the rice was perfect, and my friend's lamb chops with that sauce! Lobster Mac...Chef's kiss. It's pretty loud and there, but we were able to have a conversation. We started by ordering a couple drinks. They were so good and STRONG. Hookah is also available. It was great to know that Victory closes most nights after midnight! There is usually a DJ on the premises and there is security that does checks upon entry ensuring safety. We visited the establishment to celebrate a birthday. Please note that there is a fee to bring in a cake! For drinks I had the panty dropper 3/10. For food I had the jerk wings 7/10 and oxtail eggrolls 7/10. I would recommend that a pairing sauce be added for the eggrolls as they are meaty and tasty but missing a kick! Everyone has a good attitude and they have fun while working. The bartenders are personable and seem to know what you need without asking. The music is always a vibe, the lounge itself is inviting with high energy, and clean bathrooms. During a recent visit, I ordered catfish and grits. It was so good, the catfish was crispy, perfectly seasoned and the grits were creamy. The bacon was actually cooked although overpriced (there's no reason a side of bacon should cost more than an actual pack of bacon). I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the service completely overshadowed everything else. From the moment we were seated, our server (receipt listed the name as "MILORD C") seemed disengaged. We had basic questions about the menu and couldn't get a single helpful recommendation. Throughout the meal, he passed by our table multiple times without checking in, even when we were visibly trying to get his attention. At one point, he was socializing and dancing with another table while we were still waiting on assistance. The most frustrating part came at the end. We later realized a 20% service charge had already been added to the bill -- something that was never verbally communicated. Because it wasn't mentioned and the card reader was simply handed over, we ended up tipping on top of that. Transparency matters, and that should have been clearly explained. Interestingly, the only time he spent more than a few seconds at our table was when it was time to process payment. This was actually a return visit for someone in our group and a first-time experience for me. Based on how highly it had been spoken of in the past, I expected much better. Unfortunately, the level of service didn't match the reputation. Management may want to revisit service expectations and communication around automatic gratuities. Even in a small restaurant, attentiveness and clarity go a long way. Sadly, this experience didn't leave us wanting to come back. read more

This might've been the worst service I've ever received. The waiter, "MILORD C", whose name I only know because it was listed on the receipt was super inattentive. Couldn't even give a recommendation on the menu and walked by the table multiple times without checking on us even when we tried to flag him down. He did however find time to do a salsa with the table next to us. The restaurant is small so I don't know how hard it is to tend to your customers, but.... anything is possible when there is no standard in place. Aside from his name, he failed to mention there was a 20% service charge, so I ended up over tipping and will be rectifying that with my bank ASAP. He didn't deserve that, and he damn sure didn't deserve additional gratuity. It shady business practice to not clearly state that and just shove a card reader in your face. When it was time to pay was the longest he was at our table. Sucks because this is a stereotype of black owned business and I hate that this waiter lived up (or down) to that. Unfortunately, I will not be patronizing this business ever again. It was my second time, and my friend's first (I went 3 years ago for a birthday trip) and I was excited to return. I see why the hype has died down. If the manager sees this, please make sure your service staff don't muddy your operation. It happens all too often and this is YOUR hard earned business, not theirs. Table reservations are supposed to be 90 min if you're a party of two but they let us stay a little longer because it wasn't super busy. Our goal was to get mimosa drunk and vibe to some good music. The brunch menu doesn't have a lot of options but I would say it's as many choices as a typical brunch menu and the food was really good! We got French toast, eggs, tater tots, and catfish + grits. He had a really good mix and my boyfriend and I (who have very different taste in music lol) really enjoyed every single song. We were very lit. This is a perfect spot for a night out with the gals! The decor inside super cute. Kind of "posh" vibe to it. The decor outdoor is also super cute too and you should definitely be able to get some nice pics out there! The thing I loved more than anything is that this was a thriving black owned business.
