I LOVE this bakery! Love it so much! The first time I had their cakes was when my best friend brought it to an event when I was in college ... way back when. That very moment was when I fell in love with their fruit cakes. Since then I have had their cakes at my graduation, baby showers I have hosted, bridal shower and whenever else I was in the area to get my hands on the yummy goodness! The thing I love so much about their fruit cakes here is that they are light. The cake is perfect. The icing is more like a whipped topping and not too sweet. Then there is a ton of fruit all perfectly positioned on top ... fruit of all kinds and they are beautiful! You can special order a cake to fit your needs if you wish or you can walk in and purchase an already made one. They have a ton of other things besides cakes too! I honestly can not talk highly enough about the fruit cakes here ... Get one! Eat it all! Share it with your people! read more

Our family's been going here since I was a kid. Every birthday, event, special occasion, or holiday is celebrated by purchasing a cake from this bakery. Their Strawberry Fruit, and Mocha cakes are great, and I have yet to try something here that I don't like. During the holiday season they have a special Mocha Log Cake that's decorated with winter trinkets. You'll definitely be impressed with their variety of dessert selections! read more

"Tall, thin chef from Paris with a handlebar mustache behind the counter" Really? LMAO. Let me remind you folks, this is a bakery in a lower end strip mall. In HURST, TX. Expectations are everything I guess! Listen, adjust your expectations to your surroundings, it works wonders. This place is decent if you are looking for some sweets and you don't live anywhere near oh I don't know, France? Their eclairs aren't bad, their croissants in my opinion are horrible, but I have had pretty good ones so I might be bias. Their cakes a better than your typical cake but if you are the white cake, buttercream frosting kind of person this might not be for you. read more

Ok, YUM is all I can say. The place is not much on the decor but the bakery? Awesome! The cakes are light and fluffy on the cream. The looks of the cake here is just as good as it tastes! The stacking of fruits and lite glaze over their tarts.... I almost though the pastries were fake! Awesome coffee and sweets here! Croissants, cakes, tarts, eclairs, and on and on. Must try, must try. Their croissant sandwiches are also very good!!! They have a private lot and it's easily accessible. As far as cakes are concerned, call ahead if you want to order one. They are very busy with their cake orders! Especially for their wedding cake orders! Definitely worth the wait though! read more

When Vie a Paris showed up on account of a "bakery" search in the Hurst area, I was shocked to see that a little bakeshop was cranking out some classic French baked goods right behind the iconic North East Mall, in proximity to some very average neighborhoods. Definitely not countryside Europe. That being said, I thought the inside was even more dingy. It had a very dark interior, and the place just felt kind of like one of those shops you think about when you need to order a child's cake on the cheap and in a rush. I was excited to see quite a large variety of sweets to choose from when I dropped in. The spectrum runs from croissants to tarts all the way of large slices of cake that will be certain to induce diabetes if you do not already have it--we live in DFW after all; diabetes is hot on our trail, expectantly. The Chocolate truffle cookies were some of the most interesting and best tasting confectionery goods that I have had in recent time. This cookie boasts a gooey chocolate filling/interior that happens to taste like one large chocolate chip. I felt real bad eating this, in a good way, of course. The iconic chocolate chip was thick, but a lot more crispy than I prefer. This little bakeshop is not much of an ode to Paris, but I still found my experience to be pretty solid. There was a good amount of handmade stuff, and anyone who has any sort of sweet tooth will find something to satisfy them. Also, there are some sandwiches here for some savories. read more

Was not impressed...it was basically a donut shop. The desserts were very good looking but you could tell they were old and crusty. Like, they have microwaves in plain view-how appetizing!! They need to come down on their prices, she made me buy a dessert instead of sharing and charged us for a glass of water?? read more

OK so like a few others that have reviewed this wonderful little shop we've been getting our cakes here since I started grade school.. which is about 20 yrs ago... and I don't believe racism has anything to do with their customer service as Marisa stated.. trust me on ONE occasion I've been treated the exact way with the same amount of employees working and I'm Viet!! only having one other customer at the counter and the owner going over wedding cake plans with a Vietnamese couple.. we usually preorder cakes for birthdays and what not but I was just craving their pastries that day.. so after several mins the owner checks on me and gets another employee to attend my needs.. so even after this incident I'm still standing by my 5* rating you know why? their cakes and baked goods are that mind blowing and I've only had a few diff things.. they also have premade cakes from that morning in a display case if you're in a last minute bind.. oh they have 3ft long french baguettes up there with the best I've had in the DFW area, also. preodered cakes - - fruit cake (childhood fave) - mocha cake (when in the mood for something diff) pastries - - italian creme (like a miny fruit cake) - neopolitans (my favorite! layers of flaky pastry dough & a few flavors to choose from) maybe it's an Asian thing which is why we've all given her bakery high reviews but I don't believe that's the case.. its because we actually got to taste something. What a great little place, we stopped by for a little dessert before attending an event nearby, the little cakes and sweets all looked really good. I had a carrot cake seems it had a butter creram frosting, usually carrrot cake has a cream cheese forsting so it was a bit different. I bought a red velvet cake here. It was $44 for an 8 x 8. It was delicious. That was on June 27. On June 30 I purchased an 8 x 8 strawberry shortcake. It looked beautiful. However it did not taste right. It was dry and didn't taste sweet at all. A husband's retirement party. They were supposed to put the happy retirement on it. They said they couldn't do it because of the fruit. We ate the cake at the restaurant. I was embarrassed when my husband gave the two servers a piece. It looks like it would be delicious but was not. I probably will go back and buy the red velvet but not the strawberry shortcake. I am in the refrigerator but I'm going to throw it out today before the trash comes. read more

This bakery is the best. She designed out wedding cake just exactly how we wanted it. The price was reasonable and best of all everyone at the wedding said it was delicious. She didn't use anything in the cake to make it taste greasy and also because alcohol is against our religion she made the cake without rum per our request. read more

This little bakery has been around for years. I actually had one of my wedding showers there several years ago and they were nice to close early for our private event. They have a collection of cafe tables with bud vases and flowers which makes for a nice atmosphere. The cakes and pastries are delicious and affordable, although small. The best time to go for their baked goods is in the morning because by afternoon several items are sold out. There are two separate areas, the boulangerie (bakery) and the pâtisserie (pastry area). Both are wonderful with several delicious items to choose. I recommend their croissants, Pâté chaud, and the Palmiers (which are the closest to the ones I had in Paris). The Palmiers with the chocolate tips are a family favorite. At the pastry counter I recommend their Italian Cream cake, the Tiramisu, and the Marigold Rum Cake. They have a tiny lunch menu but I highly recommend their Broccoli cheese soup and their croissant sandwiches are good also. My brother and his wife like to take these to go for picnics. I'm rating this place 4 stars instead of 5 because their macaroons (which are tiny and only $1.50) aren't very good, sometimes their pastries are not very fresh, their coffee selection is limited to regular, and their selection gets very limited as the day goes on. The customer service is hit and miss, most of the time they are polite although rarely friendly. Overall, it's a nice place to go. It's a quiet, peaceful atmosphere with some delicious items worth ordering. read more

I have been coming here for years, probably 10 or more. For those who can't stand the sweet cakes at a lot of American markets, this place is a good place to buy their famous French fruit cakes. My family always buy their cakes for any special occasion. They're just the right amount of sweet and soft too. Apparently, you're supposed to call them ahead and reserve a cake since they run out of them toward the end of the day. Or just don't walk in last minute like I did (still got my cake). I had several of their other desserts too which were all pretty good. I don't buy them often 'cause I want the whole cake to myself. Overall great place for desserts! read more

This bakery is not even close to a French one just something to draw in customers...wanna be sort of thing. The two women who were working there did not know their products and did not know the ingredients so the owner should post it on the placards so people know what they are purchasing or have better customer service. I purchased two deserts and about a dozen cookies. The deserts were mis-described to me and were completely dreadful...no one would eat them. If you are going to try to be french at least sell authentic Eclairs for pete's sake!!! The cookies were good and did save the day but needless will not be back! read more

Best bakery I have found in Texas thus far. Got a sampler of cakes: vanilla Napoleon, dark chocolate mousse, raspberry cake and tiramisu. All were incredibly light, fresh and super flavorful without being too sweet. Delicious. Will be trying more in the near future!!!! read more

They usually make extras and keep them in the rotating fridge at the counter so just in case you don't order ahead of time, you can always try walking in (or calling might be a better option) and pick one up! Well it all started with less than perfect customer service. We waited at the counter while workers passed by in the back looking up at us occasionally. Finally one came out to help. She was friendly enough. We ordered some croissants and cookies. When we were in the car driving away we noticed a big black hair on the bottom of the croissant! I am giving Vie a Paris five stars! I needed heart shaped cookies for my stepson's rehearsal dinner. I checked many bakeries and was told that heart shaped cookies are a seasonal item! I was willing to pay 2-4 dollars and no one wanted to break out the heart shaped cookie cutter. 50 cookies! Anna, I hope I spelled her name right. Put together a Linzer Cookie with special sugar so they would look nice in the bags. I have bought many cakes over the years from this bakery, they were awesome!
