Cost isn't bad at since there is no sales tax service was great and they were really nice even though we had a lot of people food is good not bad they have beer which is a plus in my book. It was a little dark though literally couldn't see anything had to ask a few times to get lighting up and bathrooms listed outside the bowling alley across the way hmmm they really need to build a bathroom in the bowling alley not safe for young kiddos other than those issues it was great and highly recommend read more

We hosted a birthday party here for my 8 year old daughter and everyone had a great time! The prices were very reasonable and the birthday package worked out perfectly. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The birthday package included bowling and tokens for the arcade across the walkway. And after the party, parents could either shop or visit the casino. The pizza from Adriano's was delicious and kids loved it! We were able to bring in our own cake too. Only 2 complaints: they had only one waitress to get all the drinks for the whole bowling alley, so there was a bit of delay. Also the restrooms is outside across the walkway. Good stuff, right on the outskirts of a sweet outlet mall... my kinda party! We came here late after eating dinner at The Grove Steakhouse (see my review!) and played a few games with what was left of our wine buzz. It wasnt very crowded, and even if it was, its only a 10 or 12 lane alley so it cant ever get too crazy in here. I loved the fact that they had a little lounge with each lane. Instead of hard plastic tables and swivel chairs you have to share with your neighbor, each lane had a plush couple o' sofas. Pricing was pretty fair, cost us 40 bucks for 4 adults to play for an hour, with shoes, on a Saturday night at 10pm. Minus one star for no-booze. :( Seriously??!! Ok ok... I guess its nice that its a 100% kid-friendly place. I'll just bring a flask in my car next time. read more

It's a new cool bowling alley, nothing over the top. It's very kid friendly for sure . I think this place could really be awesome with the right promoters for the weekends and some alcohol. If your looking for a cool bowling alley in the far east county this is is the place . The people that worked there were nice . First time here, read the reviews and thought "there's no way this place is that great". Well i was wrong. The staff behind the"bar" are a little slow, but very friendly. They bring your food right to your lane! The lanes were nice and the seating area was fantastic. I love the little couches that they have! So much better than the hard plastic chairs that seem standard at bowling alleys all over San Diego. They keep it clean and i like that. The only thing i can even think they might need to improve on is their beverage selection. I'm not a beer drinker so i love it when i find a place that has Angry Orchard. It makes me sad to write this review, but I feel the need to vent after our last experience. I've spent many birthday parties, family outings, and date nights here and I just LOVE Viejas. I love the vibe of the entire resort and the bowling staff has always been great to us. Yes, the wait for a lane can be long (its a small place). Yes, the price is relative to 2018 pricing and you're not getting 50 cent shoes anymore (those days are gone, if that is your only complaint here, get a grip). But my run in with management left a very bad taste in my mouth. I came on a Friday night at 5:00 pm with 2 kiddos (3 & 6) and their grandmother. We immediately put our name on the list for bowling and then went to order food. We got our drinks and paid for the order. Our food had not arrived yet when they called us to let us know our lane was open (approx. 30 minutes). We let the staff at the counter know our lane number assignment and they said it wasn't ready but they would bring it to us at the lane(check in #1). After about another hour, I went up to the counter and asked for chips to hold over these starving kids and check on the order (check in #2). I was told "I will bring it to you when it is ready. Don't worry I wont charge you for the chips". No explanation for the now 1.5 hour wait and no apology made. But lucky us, they didn't charge for the handful of tortilla chips. After we completed our game of bowling (how fast do you think our game was with a 3 year old and a 67 year old....) it was time to go. The kids were cranky and hungry, our dinner was no where in site. I went to the counter and asked for the order to be boxed to go when it is ready (check in #3). After 2 hours and 8 minutes and checking in on the order 3 times, I was then told they NEVER placed our order. She didn't even have an excuse, she just said "it looks like the order was never placed". The staff member had to then go get a manager to issue us a refund. This is where they lost all good faith. The manager did not offer an apology, they did not offer to make it right, they did not offer to get us anything to eat, they didn't even ask us to come back to try this again. I would at least expect them to refund our order completely but they made sure to ask how many drinks we got so they could eliminate that from the refund and only give us back the money for the food that never was. Customer Service 101 - make sure you try your best to rectify the situation so the customer leaves happy and will return. I am aware that most staff members cannot issue a refund, but a manager, they are the ones who should be making it right for the guests. This place will lose if this is how they treat people and I am sad to see it waste away. Which it surely will if this is the norm. I will be back, like I said I love it here. But I am tempted to bring in my own food next time and see if they try to tell me it's not allowed. They will not be happy with my response if they try. read more

worst place i ever bowled at! no slide on the way up to throw, lighting was super bad. There was 7 of us all together on one lane and none of us liked that place at all! We will stick to parkway bowl! oh and we got there at 825 and didnt get to bowl till 1125. A three hour wait? and they didnt even tell us how long the wait was gonna be at the beginning when we signed up! we played darts while we waited and some crazy lady playing pool was trying to make us pay for her kid to play air hockey while her biker boyfriend/husband watched over, we told her we only had money to bowl and no quarters. She continued to nag us and call us pussies for not playing air hockey with her son. She even had her son try and force my friend to play with him by trying to tackle him to the ground and drag him over to the air hockey table. This place is good for lakeside peps that dont know how to bowl and like to drink alllllllot thats itttt! read more

A good place to bowl and have fun at with great people working there. the only thing wrong is the area you bowl from has no Slide at all. I fell when I threw the ball because when I came up and released the ball my feet just stuck. all other places I have been had a little slide. aside from that it's a great place and would be a perfect 5 if not for that one fact. this problem may go away in time but all the bowlers there when I went had the same complaint. read more

What a difference! This place was clean and being maintained constantly. This place is a breath of fresh air and will never take the kids any where else. Staff was friendly and so was the management; we need a 6 pound bowling ball and didn't have to wait 30 minutes to get anyone to help us. The kid bumpers went right up as we walk to our lane. This place has an arcade, decent food and nice working lanes. Parkway Bowl is a -5 compared to this place. I enjoyed the fact that you had your own little area in lane you bowled in and you were not right in the next lanes face. I don't think many people realize just how awesome Viejas is. In addition to a great place to gamble or take a "staycation", they have a fantastic bowling alley! It isn't a full size as far as lanes go, probably only about 20 lanes, but they are high class. As a leisurely bowler, I can say the lanes are new, well maintained, and just awesome in my opinion. They also have nice couches that seat quite a few people, as opposed to plastic seats you find at other alleys. The screens are all new, plenty of action with music videos being played. It's a real party/fun atmosphere. This place is perfect for bowling parties, birthdays, etc. It was also great for my girlfriend and I on a Friday night. At 8pm, they turn the lights off and run colored blue/purple lightning for that "night bowling" feel. Its super cool. Normally, alleys that have the nice seating and cool lighting charge a ton to bowl, but no Viejas. You get that experience for only $4/game per person. $3/game before 8pm. That's a great deal! In addition, they have pool tables and kick ass food for cheap. The burgers and quesadillas are all delicious, and reasonably priced from $4-$7. Also they have cheap/good beer. Everything about Viejas bowl is top-notch, and you'd expect to pay so much more for the experience. Overall, if you can make the drive out (and it's not far; about 15 minutes east of El Cajon and less than a mile from the freeway), you won't be disappointed. Head out for a day of shopping at the outlet stores, and you'll find the alley tucked in the northern most part of the mall. It's an absolute gem out in Alpine. VB is very chic, the staff is friendly and you aren't forced to rent a pair of thrift store shoes. Instead, the bowling alley offers slick new kicks, a machine that sells socks and a soon to be opened bar. Get the booze going (of course, there are several bars at the the casino across the street and Sushi Nori and Adriano's at the Outlet offer alcohol), swap the small gaming area for an arcade/party room and you have a winner! read more

We just left there after attending a birthday party. We were a group of parents with children with varying degrees of disabilities. Never in my life have I seen an establishment work so diligently to make sure all the children were given an inclusive environment. Every child was able to participate in all the activities and the staff continuously checked in to be sure things were going well. They even allowed my daughter to wear her own shoes due to sensory issues. This was our first time here, but I am already planning my daughter's birthday party for next month. Thank you all so much for giving our children an afternoon if complete inclusion without making it seem like a big deal. It was what every parent dreams of for our kids. read more

Not your typical dingy bowling alley for sure! Everyone behind the counter is super friendly and helpful and it is pretty clean. Saw the crew wiping down couches and tables between each group even. Only reason not giving it a 5 was the food, I mean I wasn't expecting fine dining but when you order a cheese quessadilla you expect a warm tortilla and the cheese fully melted. i stayed at the hotel with my grandkids. we only had to take a shuttle across the street to the bowling alley. my 12 ,9, and 2 year old played for about 5$ each with bowling shoes. at the bowling alley they have a slide for the little little ones to just go up and push the ball down to the alley. my 2 year old waas cheering when it struck the pins! she had every bit fun and the older grands. the next game was only 3$ or so. we also played air hockey. so much fun and very affordable. read more

Best bowling experience in San Diego County. Boutique bowling at it's finest. Great beer selection. The food is pretty decent, too. This place has a really chic and quaint feel to it and the galaxy lighting on the weekends is awesome and fun. Music videos play on projected screens at the end of the lane during galaxy bowling, too. Staff is always friendly & helpful. The house balls are good quality. I do wish they would oil the lanes more often, but all in all, It's a great place. We made reservations a week ago for our sons 8th birthday party. When we arrived everything was set up for us! Balloons, cups, plates, birthday sign everything to make our son and guests feel welcome! We had a great time and the pizza was so good! Cosmo, Taz and Stephanie were the people who took care of us that afternoon. They were so helpful and super kind! They did a great job with everything we needed! We had like 15 kids with us plus 12 adults. And they still managed to handle our party in an excellent manner. We will be coming back and absolutely recommend this for a birthday party event! On a side note I want to add that when we first arrived we waited in line to check in and there was another couple ahead of us. A husband and wife with their son. The husband was such a jerk to Cosmo and aggressive! He was complaining about having to wait or something about a miscommunication about their bowling schedule. It was so irritating how this man was treating Cosmo. It took a good ten minutes of us waiting and listening to this man be so offensive and rude! But Cosmo handle it so gracefully and proffesionally. I applaud Cosmo for the way he took care of business when he could have easily called security on this man for his awful behavior towards him. Went to Viejas Bowl for the first time this morning and it is definitely my favorite bowling alley in San Diego. The seating area and food was great. Also, shout out to COSMO,one of the employees. He was awesome!! He was literally running around doing everything. From giving us our shoes, getting our stuck bowling balls, helping us at the bar, and cleaning cleaning up the whole place. . People with epilepsy beware. After settling in for our game and a pizza at 4:30 in the afternoon, strobe lights suddenly began. My Son has epilepsy and I was alarmed and asked them to turn them off. His worst seizures have been from flashing lights. They turned them off, however we were told that there was a Birthday party and they paid $40 for strobe lights and they must be turned back on. I was told that Birthday parties trump epilepsy. "After all, there are signs around the bowling alley warning about flashing lights." I know they have strobe lights at night on the weekends so we avoid those times, but never realized they happen any time during the day if there's a party They agreed to leave them off for a short time while we quickly finished our one game and scarfed down our pizza. It was MY son's Birthday today too. Birthday party patrons will not die if they don't have strobe lights. People with epilepsy can die from a bad seizure from strobe lights. The policy is backwards. Party patrons should be warned that strobe lights will not be possible if a person burdened with epilepsy is there. Instead people with epilepsy are told to leave if they can't handle the lights.
