Yummy food and the waitress was nice. It is convenient that they're open on Sundays for dinner!

Stopped in for dinner before a movie. I had my go to dim sum and Phanaeng curry. They didn't ask my spicy level, which is ok since I love hot foods. The dim sum was tasty, but the curry was rocking. I could have eaten ten bowls. I highly recommend a visit.

It's not the best Thai I ever had, but I found it pleasingly representative of what I know of the food genre. The owner was nice and our food seemed made to order. I would definitely eat here again if I were back in the area.

In the Essex Outlet Center by the movie theatre is where Sukho is located.

Great Thai food! Located in the Essex Outlet Center Sukho Thai is an excellent l choice for diners that want a quality Thai experience without the fuss. Diners will find familiar dishes such as tom kha gai, fried tofu, spicy pad Thai noodles and massaman curries. Great service, plenty of free parking, quality ingredients and attention to detail make Suhko Thai a best choice for fine Thai dining in the area. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM - 8:30PM. Sukho accepts all major credit cards. Phone orders and reservations can be made by calling 802 878 2788.

Is it the best Thai food ever? No. Do I crave it all the time? Pretty much. Is the price right on? You bet. So here's my update (and upgrade of stars): It has become our go-to place on nights I really really really don't feel like cooking. (let's be honest here: ever night is a night I don't feel like cooking.) My husband's crave here is the Tom Kha soup with shrimp ($5). The broth is simply amazing -- love that tender tang of lemongrass and lime against the creamy sweet goodness of coconut milk, topped by the freshest hint of cilantro, mmmm... But sometimes the shrimp could be tastier (I know: we're incland. It's hard.) I prefer the Tom Yum soup sometimes, especially when I have a cold -- it is a flavorful hot-and-sour-and-slighltly-spicy Thai soup, all complex and lovely. And I always get the Som Tum, the Green Papaya Salad. For the uninitiated, don't be alarmed by the papaya part. In fact, forget that I ever mentioned the papaya -- it doesn't taste like papaya as you've had it before (which is delicious). I can't describe it accurately, but if you love Thai flavors and the way they mix and balance and playoff one another, try it. It's only 5 bucks or so, and absolutely worth it. And I love that they put green beans on it. Never had it that way before, but it adds a nice freshness to the mix. (Note to management: I still want more peanuts on this.) I've tried a few things here, including the Ba Mee -- thin ramen-like noodles in a lovely duck broth with Chinese-style BBQ pork (sweet), bean sprouts, cilantro (a deal at 10$) Our favorite waiter, Patrick, says the best dishes are the green curry and the ChooChee Duck ($13). I love love love duck, and the Choo Chee involves a sweet, spicy, creamy curry around roasted duck (flavorful dark meat), tender bell peppers, pineapple, and huge-for-cherry tomatoes. This is the first dish I ever had of Thai cuisine (like, back in college, in the 90s), and it made me fall in love with Thai food from head to toe. Sukho's is a very nice production of this lovely, exotic dish. I have also tried the green curry here, and it is splendid -- especially if you love coconut milk. I find the spice level just right, and the broth feels rich but not heavy, complex but not muddled. (I've tried a few other dishes, some of which I found a wee bit salty, but none of them were terrible.) I also love the regular fried rice and the spring rolls. And the Thai custard (cold) with sticky purple rice (warm) is one of the most amazind desserts I've ever tried -- not too sweet, but subtle in its flavor and in its contrass of temperature and textures and flavors. That's what I love about Thai food: the careful balancing of contrasts. Sweet and salty, savory and sour, crunchy and smooth, freshly green and deeply rich. And Sukho Thai does its best to make that balance shine.

    Shut the front door :)

Sukho Thai is clean, well decorated, and the service is attentive and pleasant. Nothing terribly objectionable about the food here and I'll likely go back. (Likely to get the fried rice). The Dim Sum appetizer was reasonably good, if a bit bland and I appreciated how it was presented with cute garnishes. The Pad Thai looked good visually, for my personal preference it was too sweet and peanuty, plus didn't have enough vegetables, tamarind flavor, fish flavor, or acidity for my taste.

When it comes to Sukho Thai, I feel like I've missed something. I see other Yelp reviewers singing high praises to the food gods, that this is, without a doubt, a great place. Personally, I don't get it. Especially, after placing my order of two entrees and an appetizer platter (in-person & to go) and it being ready in 7 minutes! The food was mediocre quality, stretched too far, and under seasoned beef and chicken. Beware your sodium's gonna fly! The food is so salty it was probably used in WW2 to treat flesh wounds. Furthermore, the bland anemic gray sliced beef in my basil fried rice had a slight taint of shrimp flavor and was dry as the mohave. I am pretty sure the sliced beef is double purposed as hockey pucks for the Montreal Canadiens when they get low. Not looking for chicken or beef? They have many other proteins available such as tofu, pork, and shrimp. Unfortunately, it all looks and tastes the (dry) same. As I can verify this, where I had the beef, chicken, and tofu. So, unless the arch moisture angel comes down from the heavens and touches the pork and shrimp dishes, I can pretty much guarantee they follow suit. Also, it will be heated and reheated, fried and refried, and then sitting in a warming area or heat lamp longer than that lizard you had in the 7th grade. Everything in the appetizer platter had that identical old deep fried taste with the exception of the teeny weeny chicken skewers, which were typical and ok. With absolute customer desolation in the dining room, the high school girl at the counter was eager to take my order, and the food runner was quick to boomerang my chow straight back out of the kitchen. To be honest, after a few bites we threw all of it in the bin. Look, though tasteless and old, the food is edible, the place was clean, and the staff were attentive. Like I said before, some people really like it. Myself, I wouldn't recommend this place to a raccoon at last call. I try to be an optimist, and will just stay with a neutral rating in case I got food there on an off-night. Good luck

Can anyone tell me what the spiciest dishes on the menu are? They don't have the little chili pepper ratings on their menu like other places do :)

The dishes there are prepared in a 1-2 pepper rating. This is Vermont! However the owner and his wife will prepare any dish to your request for spiciness.

We ordered pickup so we could enjoy dinner at home while watching the NFL playoff games, and honestly, it turned out to be the perfect choice. We started with the Edamame, which was simply done but really well, perfectly steamed and lightly salted, just the way it should be. We also ordered the Fresh Rolls and added avocado, asking for peanut sauce. They were fresh, crisp, and packed with veggies, and the peanut sauce brought everything together beautifully. A great way to start the meal. For my entrée, I went with the Cashew Nut dish from the Thai Sautéed Sauce section. I chose crispy chicken, jasmine rice, added extra chicken, and asked for medium spice. The flavors were spot on. The sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming, the vegetables were fresh, and the roasted cashews added great texture. Even with takeout, the crispy chicken held up really well. My wife ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, also medium spicy. It was everything you want in a Pad Thai, perfectly cooked noodles, a great balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors, and very satisfying. The tofu was cooked nicely and soaked up the sauce really well. The service was smooth and easy from start to finish. Ordering online was simple, the food was ready on time, and everything was packaged neatly for pickup. Even though we didn't dine in, the restaurant itself felt clean, welcoming, and cozy when I walked in. It gave off a relaxed, inviting vibe that made me want to come back and eat there next time. We were really impressed with Pick Thai Vermont. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the experience was great all around. We'll definitely be back the next time we're craving Thai food.

No upcharge for beef vs chicken or pork. We shared a roll sampler - these skinny rolls had no deep fried grease residue and were favored by others in my group. For me these lacked some flavor and I would have preferred a lighter fish sauce dipping sauce to the hoisin peanut sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my Hu Tiu Mi - the broth had a rich quality paired with a combination of yellow egg noodles and rice noodles - I liked not having to choose. And the quail eggs were an original tasty addition. Bun Ga Nuon Cha Gio or grilled chicken and egg rolls served over rice noodles was fully consumed - it's worth the extra dollar for 2 skinny egg rolls. The garnish of pickled carrots are a favorite but I miss pickled daikon slices that I'm used to getting at other restaurants. The stir fry beef with white rice was also enjoyed. Fast attentive service. No American Express but VISA ok. NOTE: I feel conflicted about giving it 5 stars because for this area it is a standout and we will definitely return but not the best compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in larger cities
