Perfect night for a birthday celebration outdoors in the covered patio. I haven't reviewed this place in a while. My four stars was generous because the service was a really a three star for us. We started off by ordering cocktails my sangria was not good so I sent it back immediately. The other cocktails lacked alcohol but we didn't say anything. On to the appetizer which we got the Ahi tuna bowl and the crab cake, Caesar Salad the salad was so dry & we never saw the waitress for more dressing. Then we ordered rolls which were $6 for four rolls. We were a party of 5 and ask for another one we would pay and she wouldn't add an additional roll after spending $500. Now for dinner we had the Lobster Roll (warm) it was amazing. Branzino was fresh but on drier side. Burger was supposed to be medium rare and it wasn't at all. Steak was supposed to be cooked the same way but was cooked medium plus instead of medium rare. Waitress came over and said it was perfect. Maybe for her but not for someone who eats it rare. She made him feel awkward about it and ate it anyway because he was hungry. The olive oil lemon cake was more like a cupcake wasn't wowed by it. Best thing was the lava cake it was the perfect way to end the night.

Great happy hour menu! Had good apps and the drinks were great! Service was a little slow due to the fact a wedding was going on at the same time and the bar was full! Super cute spot by the water, I will definitely be returning for some more this summer.

    Great water view.

Excellent restaurant. Amazing views and vibes. Our server Jaylan was very attentive and sweet despite being kept super busy. The cocktails were great and seafood was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back!

The view is a great restaurant with a great "VIEW" - Live music and an awesome raw bar. we always order a bunch of apps like the crispy Thai calamari, the jumbo lump crab cakes and stuffed clams...AAA - The seafood is always fresh and tasty, they also have some pasta dishes and great deserts. Service is always on point. If you go during the week it won't be as busy as some weekends, especially if their having a wedding or an affair...there brunch's are awesome as well with some different specials....Want some fun, try out their Bingo by the Bay - Wednesday's from 6pm to 8pm happy hour....fun fun...

I sat at the bar for happy hour. The oysters were fresh and delicious. I opted for a burger with fries, which was perfect. The bartender was sweet and attentive. The low background music at the bar gave a good vibe.

My family hosted a surprise party at the View for my birthday. I can't thank the staff enough for making my special day amazing! The passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious! My favorite was the mini lobster rolls and spring rolls. My daughter in law said the manager and staff were very easy to communicate with and made the party planning a breeze. Even during a rainstorm, the View has breathtaking views. Looking forward to the relaxing outdoor dining experience. (No food photos this time. I was enjoying my party with family and friends.)

The only downside was that it's winter and we are smack in the middle of back to back literal blizzards and we went at night so we couldn't see any of the view. But believe me, I will definitely be back to make it all right. Every once is a while, for one of my sisters' birthdays we will hold a psychic night. This time, we saw that Snapper Inn was having a psychic night with dinner, so we decided to let them do all the work. I called over a month ahead and spoke with Jim, who was the loveliest man. He gave me all the details and I told him I would call back when I have an official head count. The psychic dinner came with a prix-fixed 3 course meal and a 15 min reading. The menu was amazing. I got the winter salad and the shrimp oreganota while ending up with the banana bread pudding. Everything was top notch, from the private set up with our reading, to the round table they sat the 7 of us at. The service was out of this world and Caroline made sure everything was done perfect. The most important thing is that my sister very much enjoyed everything. And being that this is a family owned business, according to Jim, I was proud to celebrate my family with them. I hope we can do it again.

The restaurant has a very rustic feel, but the large windows and…read morebeautiful water view really make a difference -- the natural light and scenery make the space feel bright. However, The heater seemed very strong, especially if you're seated by the windows -- it felt uncomfortably hot. Entrees are priced around the $30 range, so expectations were a bit higher. Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour for our entrees. There was also a mix-up with our salad order. At first we were told the portion served was the full size, but it clearly wasn't. To their credit, the staff did replace it.

It took almost 30 minutes just to have our order taken, another 30 minutes for soup, another 30 minutes for the calamari appetizer, and yet another 30 minutes for our main dish, which was just a lobster roll. What should have been a simple meal turned into an unnecessarily long and frustrating wait. What made it worse was that our waitress didn't seem apologetic at all about how long everything was taking. In fact, she appeared much more attentive to the table next to us, who she seemed to know personally, while we were left waiting most of the time. To add to that, the water we asked for never even arrived. The experience ended on an uncomfortable note when we went to pay. Our card was flagged for possible fraud (likely because we're not from the area). While my husband was already pulling out cash to pay, a man wearing a beanie and chef jacket stood there in a pushy manner insisting we call the bank immediately while he waited. Between the extremely slow service, lack of attentiveness, and the uncomfortable payment interaction, the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. Save yourself the trip and the time -- we should have listened to the reviews before making the drive.

This time, I ordered the Bayside Trio (I think that was the name). One Lump Crabcake over a bed of yellow rice, 3 grilled shrimp, and 2 baked clams served with charred broccoli. Can I just say that the broccoli was one of the best part of the meal? I think that speaks volumes. Where to begin? Lets just get the worst of it out of the way. The Lump Crabcake- (lump Crabcake generally implies that the crab is of good quality) -wasn't. No chunks of crab meat-just mush. Was it the same as the "Maryland Crabcake" listed in the appetizer section? The waitress said yes. Let me tell you, it was NOTHING like a Maryland Crabcake. I'm actually embarrassed for Bayside Clambar for trying to pass off this little crabby patty as a Maryland crab cake. If I was Maryland, I'd sue Bayside for defamation and slander, for them trying to pass their sad little clump of whatever-it-is as a Maryland Crabcake! To me, that was the worst offense, that sad little stepsister...nay, distant cousin ... to the mighty Maryland Crabcake. As if that wasn't bad enough, it was pretty god-awful to eat. I left half of the pathetic little thing on my plate. The shrimp? Undercooked and tough. I left 1 1/2 of the 3 of them on my plate. The rice? Meh, but not horrible. I still left most of it on my plate. Thank Gods the baked clams and the broccoli were delicious-not a crumb of either were left behind. The waitress's lack of care when I told her that this plate was less than mediocre didn't help much. It's official-Bayside Clambar is on my list of places to avoid. I might suggest you do the same and save yourself from disappointment.
