Unfortunately, many people go here to the ER just to wait in the waiting room in pain for up to 8 hours before even being taken back into an actual room. Once you're in the room, be prepared to make this a full day's work because you'll end up staying at this hospital in the Emergency department for up to 12 hours, take or give. Oh, are you having a mental health crisis? Definitely don't go here if you want to be taken seriously. They treat you like an animal in a cage if you are on a psych hold. You are no longer human anymore. This is the most slowest hospital I've ever been to. I had the pleasure of growing up in Catawba County, so I have visited this hospital on multiple occasions throughout my 28 years of life and every single time has been a terrible experience and a long wait. Not to mention the entire hospital is in desperate need of a renovation and deep cleaning. They are renovating some parts currently, but they need to redo the entire hospital at this point because it looks like it's halfway falling apart. Lastly but most importantly, they will let you bleed out before they render any type of medical service to you. Just remember that- I strongly believe out of all hospitals that exist, this is the one that will allow you to die in the waiting area or parking lot because they could care less about their patients and more about gossiping about how their lunch at O'Charley's tasted.

I bet you that if each hospital employee was asked to take a 1/2 pay cut, they would leave. None of the employees at CVMC are there for patient care. If a guy walks in with blood gushing from his head, he was asked to wait for hours for treatment. And forget getting urgent treatment if you have a GI Bleed. The employees just stay on there phones and talk about inappropriate stuff that should not be discussed in a patient care facility. I was there at the beginning of the month if November 2024 for a GI Bleed and never got seen by any doctor. I was there for hours, they finally got me in an ER room only to draw blood start an I V and hook me up to a heart monitor. Well my dad came in and he said how long has it been since someone checked on you, and I told him that no one has. So I jerked off all that crap and went to Frye Regional. They immediately took back, found out I was in critical condition and they admitted me to the hospital. I went back to CVMC to see if I could get seen at the end of November for a broken foot. Was there for almost 6 hours and never once saw a doctor so I left. And nobody ever tries to call and find out what happened. If a corporate entity gets a facelift in the emergency department does not mean that it's a good hospital, the people who are there to care for people are more important and when you have a staff like at CVMC, it doesn't matter how magnificent your facility may look, you can't cover up stupid, shitty, service. When they got rid of fast track, they were stupid to do so. Hire people for less pay and bigger hearts. Because if your heart is not truly in patient care, then you don't need to be in health care. Patient care is not a paycheck, it patient care.

Knowing I probably needed another opinion, I went to Graystone several days later and was treated by an amazing physician who found 4 total fragments lodged in my eye!. 2 larger pieces and 2 smaller ones offset from the center of my eye..I was told by the attending specialist he couldn't believe someone couldn't see the metal because it was so large in terms of objects in the eye, and could be visibly seen by basic observation. Not only was I carelessly cleared by Paul the P.A., but I also called to report the incident after my procedure at Graystone, and was told by AFC management, they would review the matter, and I would receive a phone call in a few days to find resolution for this issue.. Guess who is still waiting for that call a month later? You guessed it, I did!..I wouldn't recommend anyone taking their loved ones here and would most certainly advise against going to the facility if it is at all possible! Best of Luck to All!

In addition when I asked questions about the standards they were using I apparently upset them and they decided to started speaking about my medical information in their lobby with other people around so don't think your medical privacy matters to them. I am a new hire waiting on insurance to start so these individuals have cost me hundreds out of pocket and days off work dealing with them. I have dealt with other fast med locations and they are normally of a much higher standard. I would avoid this place like the plague and request another location of if at all possible.

Staff was rude. My ten day stay here consisted of watching my roommate snort methamphetamine in our bathroom... No doctor, no psychotic evaluation done...A pee drug test on file when I never took one..Which I would have because I don't do drugs. No therapy sessions etc... Just paperwork with false information. Still to this day have never been evaluated by a psychiatrist in my life. So the ones who signed off on any paperwork, giving false diagnosis, prescribed medicine that wasn't even needed etc, I got you. Expect to be served papers and to make major headlines. My medical history should be clean and I REFUSE to walk around with this BS attached to my medical records. The only way I could get out was by taking medicine they gave me and I didn't even understand how or why they had medicine for me when I was never seen by a doctor or psychiatrist. They kept me there extra time until I gave in and took the medicine that wasn't even needed. I was verbal from the minute I got there about never seeing a doctor or psychiatrist but they just brushed it off because there was paperwork stating otherwise.... I was forced to go there because of hearsay. Wasn't acting out or a danger to myself or others in ANY kind of way.... I won't stay silent about my injustice.. Nor will I be made out to be "crazy" or a liar. Writing about all this in my new book that will be out at the end of the year. Also preparing to take everyone involved in my situation to court...Crooked law enforcement, doctors, staff etc... Even the outside ones involved that don't work at the facility. I will repost this review every day until I receive justice...The evidence and information I've been given has me absolutely shocked.. I'm also not the only one this has been done to at this place either. Whoever is in charge needs to dig a little deeper into what goes on here.
