Great dental care here. My husband came here first because it was closer to home than our old dental office. I didn't want to leave the old office because we were long time patients there and didn't want to go through the hassle of joining a new place. Our insurance changed so I decided to go with my husband to Viewpoint and I'm so happy I made the switch. Front office ladies are extremely nice and went above and beyond with their customer service. Dentist was great as well super friendly and efficient. Hygienist was also really nice she was talkative and genuinely liked her job. I'm handicapped and went in for a checkup. Was assured at the time they could work on my teeth so I set up the appointment for the work to be done. As I am unable to drive, my husband had to take off a day from work. When I went to my appointment, I did receive a cleaning, which went fine. When it was time for the other dental work, the dentist could not reach her foot pedal and told me there would be no way she could work on me without it, although it was a different room from the one she evaluated me in I don't understand why she couldn't have done the work in the same room she evaluated me in Initially. Very disappointed. Her receptionist is also extremely rude. A woman who was barely walking and having to use a cane, arrived to her appointment a few minutes late. The receptionist was extremely rude and told her she was late. The woman tried to explain she had to park across the parking lot and as she was having difficulty walking, the receptionist was rude and told her she almost canceled her appointment and was going to make her come back. It was extremely obvious this woman had a difficult time walking to be treated like that. Apparently they don't realize without their clients they wouldn't have a business. read more

Dr Debby is without a doubt the best dentist. I have been coming to Viewpoint since the late 80's and the office staff is the best ever. Front office is always there for me no matter what the problem and we drive for two hours to Viewpoint from where we live because we have tried to change dentists to be closer to home and what a disaster. I am a nervous person in that dental chair and I sure am not with these ladies who try everything to make me comfortable. I absolutely hate having to find a new dentist so when I found Viewpoint Dental, I was pretty thrilled. Their office is located on Hospital Hill behind the hospital. The receptionists are friendly and accommodating. The hygienists are friendly and explain everything to you. My doctor was pretty nice but I thought he could have been a little more subtle on the trying to sell me on cosmetic procedures. Overall, my experience there has been very good and I'm pretty happy with the procedures I've had done so far. read more

My family and I have been going to this office for over 10 years. The office is clean and they are wonderful with children. Professional staff who are very knowledgeable. Lacking in customer service the patient does not matter only the money. Tried to get my X-Rays emailed to another dentist they want $25 to send an email with an attachment. Spoke with the other dental office they said their policy is to send them free of charge and not to worry that they will take care of everything. read more

If you have an HMO they will scam you, I repeat SCAMMERS!!! Went in for a routine cleaning, within 10 minutes of doing the cleaning they stated that I needed a deep cleaning. I was a little skeptical because I have never had a cavity before. So, instead of paying for the deep cleaning at a cost of $425 I got a second opinion from my old dentist in Orange County. She said that dentist don't make money off of patients with HMO's and routine services like a basic cleanings. Long story short, I didn't need a deep cleaning and they where just trying to pull a fast one on me. read more

I have been going to this dentist for quite a few years, and it seems that something has changed and sales have become increasingly more important than the service; from dental brushes to waterpiks at inflated prices. The receptionist is cordial but the hygienists and the worker who makes the appointments seem to hate their jobs (I've seen two different hygienist recently but do not remember their names). It is so frustrating working in a health industry and not being given the same transparency I give my patients... Here is my review and I have only been there once for service so far and once to purchase a toothpaste I was told would be given to me.. I showed up 20 min early and was seen 45 min late... Didn't bother me quite as much because I know Drs take their time with each patient and each case is different... They just let me sit there.. Not a huge concern.. Dr came in and went over the x-rays and treatment plan. The Dr was nice. I was told my daughter would need two possible crowns.. but they don't do them on children (she is 15). She said the insurance would need the patient to be 18 or 16.. I said I would need clarity at what age they would do the crown.. she said .. I believe it's 16 (still not solid answer).. The Dr said he would give my daughter some toothpaste and she would need to use it twice a day.. I did not leave with the toothpaste. I returned a week later for the toothpaste.. There were no notes on the chart as to what he recommended. She had to ask him and the told me the toothpaste was 20 dollars a tube. I was confused because the Dr said he would give it to me.. Had he said " I recommend a fluoride toothpaste that we sell here, to help repair the little cavities she has. You can purchase it at the front counter"... I would have been all for it.. But, no.. the lady at the front desk said . "Well, we don't give it.. its $20 and I'm sorry"... No discount... That is the equivalent of me telling my patient " I'll give you some contact lens solution but then charge them for the bottle "... It's very frustrating.. My suggestion would be to make your services and products more transparent versus springing prices on them at the end after giving the impression the product was free. It's not even about the 20 dollars for the toothpaste. It's about customer service and transparency that needs to change in the Heath field. Also, let the patient know that you haven't forgotten about them. "The Dr should be out shortly ."... " We will bring you to the back soon". " I apologize for the wait"... It will make the experience so much better.. read more

I have been going to this place for years and haven't had a problem until recently. They charge for not canceling an appointment with them within 24 hours. When I called to cancel is was a few hours past the 24 hours time they give. The girl said I would not be charged because they give 1 complimentary cancelation. My son goes to his next appointment and they tell him he has to pay $20.00 for missing his last appt. So I call them and speak with Lorie. She tells me that the girl I spoke with did tell me I have 1 complimentary but I also owe from another appt. I asked the girl when I called the first time if my son owed for anything and she said no. Instead of saying I'm sorry, you were given the wrong info let me take the $20.00 fee off, she said I will still have to pay. So, I'm changing dentists. They just lost thousands in fees they would have got from my insurance for myself and my son's over a $20.00 charge. My co-worker has had nothing but problems with them as well. They like to try and tell you that you have to pay for a filling (not explaining that they are doing a white filling) when you have insurance to pay for the silver filling. read more

Dr. Wang is great, really gentle +1 star for her. However my first complaint is that the hygienist was not very nice. I've had the same hygienist for the 5 or 6 years I've been going there. I realize I should probably brush better but she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her for making her spend a little more time getting the plaque off. Secondly I've had to reschedule my appointment twice this YEAR. I had an appointment in July, called with 1 week of notice and they didn't have another opening until November. I called 2 weeks in advance to reschedule this one and they didn't have an opening until February! Thats ridiculous, good for them they're busy but I'm just waiting for the earful from that hygienist about how I should go every 6 months and how I should brush better because of all the accumulated plaque. I must say I love Dr. Saleem! The staff at Viewpoint is wonderful. I have issues with my nerves and them not leading to where they are supposed to go. I explained this on my first visit and he was so understanding. He took the time to make sure that I was completely numb prior to working on my mouth and throughout the entire procedure. I have a toddler and a 4 year old. The first time I had to take them with me (the toddler is handful) everyone was so patient, with my kids. And gently explained why it would be best if I could find care for them for my other procedures. I could have gone elsewhere, but because of how they handled the situation and how Dr. Salem makes sure that I am numb I just did not want to take a chance with another dentist. The reason I did not give five stars: they do not offer dental insurance plans (I happen to have great insurance but I want my older daughter to see Dr. Salem because of terrible experiences with Western Dental), and they do not specialize in children's dentistry. Although they do not take all insurances they will refer to other dentist and will advise you on which ones that they would not refer their own family or friends to receive care from. The office staff greets me by name and even though I have been coming there for years it still makes me feel special because they have done it since the very beginning. Dr. Salem is so personable he told me about words with friends over a year ago when he found out I liked word games. Let me start by stating my wife, and I have been to six different dentist since moving to the high desert seven years ago. We have been charged too much, treated disrespectfully, dealt with rude receptionist, and told we needed procedures that we did not require. The most disturbing problem was a lot of dental groups would not honor our insurance plan, and try to get us to pay them thousands out of our pockets. I was in total disbelief when I went to Viewpoint Dental, the staff was friendly, and professional, they followed our insurance plan to the penny. The dentist, Doctor Shah, was extremely professional, honest, caring, and compassionate, his xray technician took digital pictures of my teeth. Then he positioned the computer screen directly if front of me so he could show me everything he was explaining. I have had a few really good dentist in my lifetime, and Doctor Shah, and his amazing staff are in my top five. read more
