I have never had the need to use a pest control service before. I recently purchases a condo and after about a year and a half I noticed roaches coming from a shared wall. Absolutely horrifying. I immediately contacted viking and was helped by Kevin Conley, who was awesome. He immediately got me scheduled and put me at ease that the problem could be addressed. The next day my viking service tech, Jason Burd, was on the scene completing his job with the utmost professionalism. My girl friend request that he wear shoe covers in the house and he went and got some with no problem at all (this is rare in my experience). He then proceeded to carefully evaluate my problem and began treating the property. While it has only been 24 hours since treatment, and results are still somewhat pending - All I can say is from a service side I feel that the two men I dealt with were absolutely excellent. I was charged a fair price, and there was no nonsense. They told me a number and that was the number. I appreciated that just the same! We have been using Viking Pest Control for over 4+ years and we have never had anything but fabulous service both on site along with their customer service. We are always notified about a week in advance that it's time for our quarterly service call and then on the day of service we receive both a test and email. Since they started protecting our home, we have had no incidents of any type of bugs or rodents. On May 17th our service rep was David Lorenzo arrived promptly and rang the bell and asked if we needed any service inside or just outside. When he was finished he sent us a complete detailed report via email to alert us of all the services rendered. I have recommended Viking to some of my neighbors and they too are as pleased as we are. Viking is the best! First, they truly have a solution to the pesky Spotted Lantern Flies that are plaguing the PA/NJ area. Last year we were inundated and all the DIY home solutions just could not keep up. We are anti-chemical in general but their unique and specific solution was non-invasive and no other plant life suffered. AND they eradicated the Spotted Lantern Fly! When this year's service came up, I opted to not renew. Billing even reached out and explained, the flies sometimes come back and would I prefer to suspend the service to be sure. I thought they were selling me what I didn't need so I declined. Well, of course they were right! And, now as the Spotted Lantern Flies are back, they (shout out to Jane C) they are reinstating my service, as simple as that. No sales pitch, no reinstatement fee - pure customer service. I have never posted a review before online but felt it necessary. I had one of this company's employees come into my house and blatantly stole something. While I don't expect this company to fully be responsible for their employees actions, I do expect a better response then what I got. That response would be they followed protocol by asking their employee if he stole the property, which of course he said no to, and then that is as far as it goes. Tough luck to the customer, not to mention i was told by the person I talked to (Mike in Bernardsville office) not to bother filing a police report as it won't lead anywhere. Being pressured to not file a report on top of company protocol apparently being to simply ask him if he did it has led me to cancel the company I've done business with for a decade. Viking was a very hit-or-miss situation when dealing with them. I understand that sending different techs should be expected as it is who is available at a time slot, but getting different feedback and information from each one is not what I would hope. The last tech I had was Reed, who was great and provided great service and advice as well as, as small as it may sound, put foot covers on before entering my home. The first tech Chris did great as well with thorough investigation of my home for entry points. It was the techs in the middle where things went haywire; I was told one thing that was different from each tech (what their process was, how follow ups were made) and I experienced something totally different. My suggestion is Viking look into standardizing their process so that the same level of expectation can be met when being serviced. read more

I called Viking to assist with a bat exclusion service. After originally calling another company that wanted to service my whole house for thousands of dollars, Viking came out and was practical in terms of what would solve our problem and not break the bank. They did not propose work that was not needed. In particular, Michele Davis, Anthony, Craig and David R. were outstanding from start to finish. Michele and Anthony diagnosed the problem and helped develop a service solution that involved needing to rent a lift due to the height of our house. Craig and David R. came out to do the service on time and with efficiency. They also assisted with 2 other pest problems while they were here. I called Viking Saturday morning to report a bad bees nest. Later that same day the company had a service man at my house. His name was Kyle. He was outstanding, polite and courteous. It turned out it was a bad Hornets nest and he did a super job. When I pulled into my driveway Kyle was there all ready working. He stopped, introduced himself and said he also called me several times as well as leaving me a voice message that he was at my house working on the problem. He then noticed I had a car full of groceries. He was concerned as the hornets were flying around so helped me carry in my groceries. WHAT A GREAT EMPLOYEE KYLE IS AND WHAT A GREAT COMPANY. On March 20, 2021, Jason P. (1192) arrived at our home, timely and with a mask on due to Covid19. Ten to fifteen minutes before his scheduled arrival there was a text sent stating that he was on his way. Nice (no surprise visits)! He is professional, competent, and personable. The first question from him was, "What can I do for you today?" He explained everything he did and checked the exterior of the home for any activity of pests, or entry points, etc. I am impressed with Viking for alerting the customer before the arrival of the technician, and for the proffesionalism of employees they hire. Stan and the team at Viking provide on-time, efficient and effective rodent, insect and particularly stink bug control regularly at our home. Scheduling is easy, the cost is reasonable and the results are obvious. If we ever have occasional extra needs, such as borer bee or wasp issues, all we have to do is call and someone comes out with a solution, usually the next day. It would be good if the payment method could be edited within the on-line access. I recently had a card hacked and had to replace it. I was on autopay, so I started receiving bills, then automated threatening collection phone calls. All the while I was trying to figure out how to enter my new card information on the website portal. read more

We have used Viking Pest Control or its predecessors for over 10 years. Today we had the pleasure to deal with Marshall . First Marshall did a super job . He was very thorough in providing service. He inspected for spider webs, insect and rodent activity. Marshall treated the foundation walls, underneath siding, windows, door frames, shutters, nearby trees/shrubs and interior baseboards. Had Viking come back for follow up. The technician who showed up was Alton (Al). I had this guy in the past and remembered him being a top notch guy. I realized my memory wasn't great. This guy was beyond excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and dug into the problem to ensure we had the best solution. He wasn't leaving anything to chance and made sure I was fully protected. I could tell he puts the customer first and wanted to ensure I was 100% satisfied. Viking recently bought Arkadia, the eco-pest company I've used (and loved) for the last few years so this is my first season with them. In the beginning I was seriously dissatisfied and close to cancelling my service contract. But OMG, they have so turned it around. I think it was just a bumpy transition. At this point I have nothing but praise for Viking. The techs have all been great. And here's a special shoutout to James Worthy. He's been here now twice in a row and I can't say enough good things about him. Kind, courteous, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and on it. Had an opportunity to work with Cesar Mercedes today! The guy is extremely knowledgeable and the service is unparalleled! I really appreciated his knowledge of the wasp situation that we have as well as the mouse situation. I told him exactly what was happening within our house and he immediately went to work setting traps and setting up bait stations. We normally have a subscription service with Viking pest control, but getting the opportunity to speak to one of the exterminators and having him answer my questions was extremely useful. I felt like I did stop him from doing what he needed to do efficiently, but he did not mind my interrupting him. read more

Alton Calhoun just serviced my home. he was a professional in all sense of the word. He performed his job and took care of every detail. Look, this service is embarrassing as a home owner to have to call and ask someone to come out and get rid of critters that have created their home IN your home.
