After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

I took it in to a place AAA recommended in downtown LA and explain the issue. They told me I needed a new timing chain along with a whole bunch of other stuff and quotes me $4800 for it. This was preceded with a lot of scare tactics on what will happen if I don't have the work done, which came across as very used car salesman-ish. When I ran the quote through ChatGPT I was told they were charging me dealership pricing for an independent mechanic for that type of work in LA. So I brought the truck here to Speedway where I had Minor worked done before and had a good experience. They told me my bearings need to be replaced and did the work for lesson than a quarter of the price I was quoted at the other mechanic. Work was finished in a day and the truck has been running perfectly since then. Had I spent to 4800 at the place it wouldn't have even resolved the issue, which means I would've had to come out of the pocket even more after the initial work was done. Obviously a truck of this age is gonna have some problems and when they inevitably happen again I will be back here at Speedway to take care of them. Highly recommend this place for integrity, quality, efficiency and fair pricing.

Fred helped me out - he was very friendly and non-intimidating (great for a gal going to an auto shop by herself!) He explained that Tesla tires have some foam, so patching the tire for the nail he found would be $50. It was nice he took the time to explain why it was a certain cost, def appreciated. They have a really nice waiting area with seating + strong AC (it was a hot summer day in LA), I was really impressed. Paid by cash because there's a small fee for credit card. 100% recommend this spot - friendly and service was quick. I was in and out fasttt!

I returned Wednesday morning as requested, only to be told they didn't have space and asked me to come back Friday morning instead. I came back again on Friday morning and was once again told they had no room to take the car in. At that point, an entire week had been wasted and my vehicle had still never been looked at. I understand that shops get busy, but repeatedly asking a customer to come back on different days and then turning them away each time is frustrating and unprofessional. If the schedule was full, I would have preferred to be told that upfront rather than making multiple unnecessary trips. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can't recommend this shop.

In connection with a planned 2000 mile trip, I took the SUV to my long-time mechanic, Ise Automotive, in Los Feliz. When I picked up the car, I was told that there was something "odd" about the Michelin tires on the vehicle and that I should have them checked out by a tire expert. He recommended American Tire Centers, with whom he'd done business for decades. I was skeptical, as I'd put very few miles on the tires, but nevertheless called American to determine when I might have them inspected. Vahe ("Vic") said I could bring in the vehicle the same afternoon. When I arrived, the lot was filled with cars under some stage of repair or replacement. Nevertheless, Vic turned immediately to examining my Michelin tires. To my untutored eye, they looked pristine. However, after completing his inspection, Vic said that due to their age, the rubber was separating from the material beneath. This, he told me, is why tire warranties are valid for a maximum number of Miles (usually 50,000) OR time period (in this case, five years). It was clear I was going to have to replace the tires. The question, then, was "With what?" At the age of 80, I am a "careful" consumer. When I'm teeing up to buy a product or to commission a service, I do my homework. In this case, however, it had largely been done for me. Paired with a string of online recommendations attesting to the honesty of the shop, I also had absolute confidence in my mechanic of several decades, who had sent me to Vic with his endorsement. I purchased a set of four new Michelins. Vic said he'd do an alignment only if it were necessary. The next morning (less than 24 hours after I'd been advised by my mechanic to have an expert inspect the tires), the car was ready for pickup. Vic told me to bring it back for inspection when I returned from my trip. Conclusion: I could not have been happier or more impressed with the treatment accorded me by Vic and his colleagues. They were professional, prompt and, I believe, honest in their pricing. Based upon my experience, I've no hesitancy in recommending them without reservation.
