We moved my mom to Villa Monticello in January 2017. I am so impressed at how loving all the staff are to the residents. I call it a resort and a "love in"! The setting they provide creates such a loving calm with the residents, and the facility is beautiful and clean. They are also in tune to the residents and their special needs. It's a memory care facility and their really good at it! Non stop entertainment to keep the mind busy, and the calming evening routine helps transition them to sleep. I live close by and drop in all the time. At Villa Monticello their all my friends, residents and staff alike! I always feel right at home. Just in the last 2 weeks they discovered my mom had shingles before she suffered any pain and I got her on meds right away. Because of their quality of care the shingles were halted in their tracks! Then they alerted me she might have a UTI infection before she had any pain. Sure enough, they were right. I got her on meds right away and she never had to suffer with it! I agree with everything Jillian H. said. I recommend them all the time. It is such a comfort to have my mom so loved and cared for. Placing my mom in an assisted living home is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but thanks to Orlando and Villa Monticello I can have the confidence to know she is loved and well cared for. read more

Villa is home! It is warm and inviting. My husband is retired military with PTSD and has Alzheimer's. The combination can be overwhelming. He arrived at Villa mean, nasty and combative. Villa has amazing caregivers! They learn the residents and treat them according to their needs. There isn't a one size fits all. They show love, concern, compassion and respect to all. Amenities are nice if you can take advantage of them, if not you are paying for something you don't need. Most memory care residents need assistance, it is provided with a smile. They walk by my husband, call him "Pop's", do fist bumps, touch him and ask how he is. Priceless! If my husband is being difficult, they don't force him, they let him be. Recently his doctor said" what a difference in Jay, you found a good place " The Chef cooks nutritious, tasty meals. He wants the best quality for the residents. He does beautiful presentation . Residents are clean and well cared for. They provide activities, art, exercise and singing. Elvis entertains them. The setting is calm. Lots of outdoor space to visit and hang out. It was a difficult journey for my sister and me to make the decision to relocate our mom from her home. We had promised ourselves that we wouldn't consider "memory care" until it was absolutely necessary, but after witnessing her significant weight loss and a concerning fall, we realized we had to prioritize her safety. After researching and visiting several facilities, we found a wonderful place where our mother has now been for almost a year. The change has been remarkable--her weight is back up, her cholesterol is down, and, most importantly, she is in a safe and caring environment. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing staff who are truly dedicated to their residents. They maintain constant communication with us, which has made this transition much easier. My mother lived at Villa Monticello the last year of her life. She was well cared for. She enjoyed the food. She felt loved and safe. This is a smaller sized, more family style, intimate facility. The staff was skillful in monitoring her movements, since mom was a fall risk, but did it in such a gentle way that mom never seemed to feel constrained. During the covid lockdown we couldn't visit for some months but the staff worked hard so the residents didn't feel isolated or abandoned. They enabled us to visit using video calls. Once allowed, we could visit on the lovely covered porch with appropriate separation. Mom was kept clean and neat and even her fingernails polished - which made her happy. I recommend Villa Monticello for those who are looking for a 24 hour care facility for their loved ones who will thrive in a family style setting. read more

My mom spent her last year in the care of Villa Monticello. She was in great care. The staff was kind and focused on her. They genuinely cared for her and I always felt my mom was well looked after at a time when she really needed the help. She passed away there in peace. I was there holding her hand at the time. The grounds are pleasant and its a nice place to visit and take short walks. I would wheel my mom around near the vineyard and find shady areas where we could sit and talk. Dementia is hard for the individual and everyone close to them. Villa Monticello did a good job of making my mom comfortable towards the end of her life. This facility is amazing! My mom has lived here for a year and a half and we feel so blessed to have found Via Monticello. The caregivers are SO kind, treat all of the residents with respect, and the facility is always clean. The chef prepares amazing meals, they have cute little activities for the residents every day, and even have fun gatherings (like 4th of July BBQ) for families as well. The facility does a great job communicating with family, help with coordinating needs with doctors, and have people who come in to give residents haircuts/and nail trimmings. Two months ago I put my 93 year old Mother, with severe dementia, into an assisted living/ memory care facility, VILLA MONTICELLO in Escondido. Just want to say that it is an outstanding place and has a resort feeling. The care is amazing. All the caregivers are kind and experienced and appear to really love their jobs. The view is gorgeous, extremely clean rooms, happy atmosphere, lots of fun activities, reasonably priced and the food is almost 5 star!!! My sister has been at Villa Monticello for a year now and we couldn't has for a better place for her to call home. The staff & management have treat my sister with lots of love and patience since she is there for her memory loss and needs 24 hour care. The cook prepares the residents delicious and nutritious meals and snacks. The facility is always clean and well maintain it also helps that it's in a beautiful location. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care she receives and the excellent communication I receive from the caregivers. 2018 we found The "Villa". As we,my sister and my brother and I. What a blessing. This has been a wonderful experience for my Dad (Joe Cervone ), with severe dementia. He is now 96 years old.
