The customer service could use some work but its always worth a stop when I pass thru. Their mums are huge ... and price of those 1/4 the size. But I came for ham seasoning my mom needed. I found it and more. The guy checking you out as u leave is a character .

Unfortunately you can't tell if the bread was baked yesterday or three days ago. There's a secret color code on the label and I asked the girl at the checkout what days each color meant and she said she didn't know. That's a problem when you're dealing with no-preservative items. Lots of jarred pickle and preserve products to tempt your taste buds and all from small regional producers. In summer there's a fair amount of farm produce but nowhere near what you'd find at a farmers market. They have lovely seasonal potted flowers and of course the sturdy, handmade, bank-breaking Amish outdoor furniture. They sell a lot of things like frozen vegetables, baking mixes, spices, candy (huge amounts of candy), chocolate melts, in small bags with their own label. Unfortunately this stuff seems to be bought from big wholesalers. I have seen giant Sysco and GFS trucks in the lot. They use a weird dating system on these bagged goods- just a number where 15 would be January 15 and 360 would be December 26; get it? But you have no way of knowing if that means this year. Or last year, ick. So it's a mixed bag here. Not everything is going to be local or GMO-free. Look carefully before you buy.

They have milkshakes and ice cream, assorted fudge, candy and an old soda fountain. They do have a seating area so you could sit inside and get warmed up if you visited during the winter hours as well. Every treat we bought was delicious! Took 25 minutes to get my medium strawberry lemonade because everyone that worked there was meandering about while literally one young lady was getting slammed by customers. If I hadn't paid for the drink with my fudge, we would have left. People would wait in line and leave groups. Finally got my drink when another employee who we watched just get there for the day helped the girl behind the counter and that was the only thing that we got that was good/fresh. Googled the place and pretty positive it was the owner that was there, NOT doing much to help at all, literally just watching. Bad business, bad customer service to allow people to stand and wait in one person when there were enough employees to help get people in and out. absolutely no teamwork was going on in this establishment today, not until the one lady got there and started helping. Those two ladies needed a tip jar for sure!

The additional eggs was two dollars, and fifty cents, and a small pepsi was two dollars. And fifty cents. No eggs for the salad and no mushrooms for the salad. No fruit on the salad bar. No french dressing rude waitresses. And we had to pay extra ford eggs. Yet when I call them and ask them if it was a full solid bar they said, oh yes, of course. They did say that the salad bar was unlimited. What little or was. Yet, they required you to get a second small plate rather than just give you one large plate to get your food. Places like this should be shut down. Save your money go to mcdonald's at least there. They have eggs in a salad. When my wife informed them that we would not be back to have dinner here ever again. The cook basically, just shrugged your shoulders and said, whatever. It's businesses like this that give the United States a bad name.

None of the food stood out to me, or made me want to go back. There's no wow factor. French fries are crinkle cut and bland so make sure you add seasoning. Mushroom burger was just a flavorless mushroom burger. It was ok. But not worth the 40 minute drive.
