Right on time Saturday morning we have two Rooter Tech, plumbers here and ready to go. After explaining the scrub head sucking, toilet situation and for asking to add a tank rebuild to the estimate/project, they got to work. It didn't take too long before they came back with a price that was fair, to do the work. Rooter Tech, was the third plumbing contractor we got an estimate from and it was worth it to hold out for the right people. Everything about this project was efficient, stress free and I'm throughly satisfied. The toilet is working great, no complaints!

I called (it was on a Sunday) requesting emergency service due to this being the only shower in the unit and it was actively leaking into the wall when the water is on. I was told the earliest time someone can come out to fix this screw up was on Thursday, 5 days later. I again voice the urgent nature of this repair due to the failure of their initial installation. The only thing offered was a call from the manager 24 hours later on a Monday. Today is Friday and no one has called.

We did not have huge mysterious problems - a toilet that was not flushing correctly every time, and a dripping faucet outside. They were scheduled at 9 am, and they left at 10:25. There were a few questionable things. Not about Matt and Jason, who seem to be very nice people. But about their charges. They exchanged a flapper in the toilet for a Toto flapper. A name brand, so it might be more costly. Matt charged $38 for that Toto flapper, which is selling for $6.86 elsewhere. I understand that materials must be upcharged, but that seems excessive. He also charged $180 for 2 hours labor. I cannot quite figure that one out. Perhaps bc there were two plumbers here, then each was a 1 hr labor charge? But this was a one plumber job. Changing a flapper in a toilet, or a leaky faucet only required one plumber. They were not actually here two hours, so it could not have been charging 1 plumber's labor for two hours. ? Not sure about how this charge was figured. The other questionable thing was the credit card processing fee. I always pay in cash or check bc I hate that a businss has to pay 3-3.5% fee. I paid him with a check. However, Matt caught my attention when he said he charges a 5% fee, if you pay with a credit card. Not sure if he is aware of this, but that is illegal in WA state. The state allows you to charge the actual % fee from the credit card company, OR a maximum of 4% . Charging 5% is against the state law. So clearly this is questionable on his part as the business owner. Overall, they seemed committed to doing a thorough job, and helping the customer, but their charges may be excessive

Here's what was good: They came in soon after our call (even though they didn't have to - it wasn't an emergency); nice guys; figured out a fix for a problem toilet. Here's why I just can't jump on board: They did not set the toilet back on correctly - something with the wax ring... it leaked; it took a couple calls in to them to get a response this time (the DID come back -- with happy attitudes to finally fix that one); they left nasty wax gunk all over the floors (messy). Ultimately, pulling toilet/new flange/new wax ring/setting toilet (twice - ugh) cost me over $550. (Seemed high, but don't know what plumbers charge any more). We have since had another plumbing problem come up that needs help -- and I have to say, I am not confident in their skills. Kinda bums me out, too --- nice guys and I love to support locals!

Donny was extremely thorough in identifying the issue and diagnosed that the unit I had was not the right size for my home. In addition the piping was inefficient and not up to code. They offered to refund the prior install, designed a sleek solution with a new combi boiler and somehow managed to make everything fit perfectly into the very small mechanical room in my home. This was a complicated install made even more challenging by the small space, but Donny's workmanship and problem-solving was excellent. They were able to accommodate my schedule, finished on time and were collaborative with me throughout the process and helped me land on a solution and price that I was satisfied with. My home has never been this comfortably heated in the winter before while not compromising on hot water in the bathroom and kitchen.
