I found Ati about 5 years ago, when I was still driving to Houston to have my hair colored. This review is for Neda. I've been seeing Neda recently to get my eyebrows threaded, and she does an immaculate job every time. She is meticulous, takes her time, and makes sure you are satisfied with her work. The salon itself is beautifully appointed, and all the staff members are friendly. If I could suggest an area of improvement for Villa, it would be a published pricelist on their website, with either price ranges or actual prices for each provider. This would make it easier to consider using them for other services, without having to go through the "how much do you charge for ..." ritual. There is enough parking at the Las Cimas shopping center that I don't have to stress about where I park. I will be returning to see Neda (rather regularly). read more

Very nice salon and the front staff is very helpful and nice. Cristina Lopez has been coloring and styling my hair for many years and I highly recommend her. She is new at this salon. Christina is an expert colorist. I also highly recommend Heather Bird for skin care or wax. She is a fantastic Esthetican and will customize a treatment to your individual needs. Heather uses "body sugaring" for the hair removal, which is great for sensitive skin. read more

As a guy, the following are a couple of clues that I need to get my ears lowered: 1. My hair no longer fits into hats--due to the thick mop on my head 2. My hair sits over my ears 3. From Boy Meets World: "Your hair looks bad for a while after your haircut... it looks good for a day. That's about the time for a new haircut." I don't often go to Westlake, but when I do, it is to get a haircut. And not just any haircut, but one which affords me the opportunity to grab a drink and lounge around. The salon itself certainly lends itself to some upscale products, but the upscale feel doesn't incite pretension. Tiffani kills it. She has cut my hair numerous times, and it continues to get better. Drop in or call ahead if you want a pretty neat trim. I really cannot provide too much insight... I just need my haircut about once a month. read more

I love this salon! Neda did my high lights the other day and I'm in love with them. She was awesome! They use amazing hair products that I personally am obsessed with. This is also the place for you if you're a Rhonda Alison skin care fan. I'm an esthetician and I use their skin care and have amazing results! I only spent $20 on an acne serum so it's affordable and easy to walk in and get all the information you need about the products. The ladies at the front desk are soooo sweet and helpful! read more

I often travel for extended periods for work, so I frequently have to trust my hair to stylists who don't know me or my hair. After a particularly disastrous brush with a poorly wielded pair of scissors in Houston (I looked like Rachel from Friends!), I came to Villa and Andrea for hair repair. Andrea was absolutely fabulous! I gave her free rein to do whatever she needed to fix the mess, and she was still very cautious and checked with me before removing any length. I left with a chic cut that looked great on me. She told me to come back if anything needed additional attention, but there was no need. Three months later, it's still looking awesome. (and it's almost back to the length it was before the chopjob in Houston!) The next time I passed through Austin, I went to Andrea for color. I wanted something a little different than my usual home-administered look, and she totally nailed it. I got a fabulous color with great shine, and I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME. I'll be in Austin again over the holidays, and though it's a little early for color refresh, I'm going to go ahead and do it -- just so I can trust my hair to Andrea. It seems I've come full circle: rather than play hair roulette with people I don't know, I am planning my cuts and color around my travels to Austin. read more

Tam has been making me look fabulous for years now! I have gone from super blonde, to dark auburn red and I currently have caramel high lights. No matter what the request, Tam is able to conquer all. If I could give this place no stars, I would. Not worth going here. Had a keratin treatment done and the lady that did my hair told me it would last a few months. Barely 7 weeks and curls are back and I need to blow dry it to get it straight. Don't let the pretty decor and ambiance pull you in. I contacted them about it and the owner's wife didn't do anything about it!! She could have at least given me a discount on the next service. read more

Ati Jbeily has cut my hair twice now. Best damn haircuts I've ever had, in Austin or out of Austin. I went in and asked him to make me look good, to suggest what would work. He talked to me about my face shape, my receding hairline, etc. I gave him discretion to do whatever he wanted, and he did a great job. He's pricey, but he is a phenomenal hairdresser / barber. Ati is an amazing hair stylist who can transform bad hair into the masterpiece you've always wanted, but never been able to re-create. Ati did a full balayage, hair treatment, correction hair cut, and showed me how to style my hair. So many hairdressers today skip over the styling part, which is pretty critical to being happy with your hair. He also helped me understand why I was having "hair issues," and pointed me to a hair regiment that would improve my hair quality, enhance and extend my color, and help me achieve the style I was looking for. For the last 6 months or so I've been getting my hair done by Tiffani at Villa Salon and she's fantastic!! Highlights are always tricky because my hair takes a long time to turn, but Tiffani does a mix of highlights and lowlights and it always looks natural and beautiful...not streaky or brassy. AND whenever I get my hair cut I get about 5438902384 compliments ;) She's certified in Brazilian Blowouts and I'm going to use her to do the hair styles for my wedding party! Also, the owners are SOOOOO sweet.. they always greet you when you walk in and remember your name each time. I don't live near Westlake, but I make the trip to Villa Salon now every time. read more

Tam has been doing my hair for years now, and i refuse to let anyone else cut my hair! The Villa Salon and Spa where she is now is awesome! Every time i go i feel welcome and comfortable. Recently, i sent my mom to Tam. My Mom has recovered from Cancer and had Chemo, had lost all of her hair and when it grew back it was just never the same. We thought it would NEVER be the same, but after one session with Tam, her hair is soft again, it looks fantastic and she's so happy she can't stop playing with it! Having great hair seems small but it can change your whole outlook on yourself, especially after a long battle with Cancer! Thank you Tam for doing that for my Mom!!! read more

Pascale is one of the owners and she greeted me immediately, told me all about their business, and made me feel very welcome. My hair is a really thick like a mop and its hard to cut how I like it. I got a great short haircut here, but I can't give more than three stars because of the hard sales techniques and pricing. I hadn't been in the chair more than 90 seconds before the aesthetician was over quizzing me and trying to get me to sign up for her services. After the cut and PARTIAL highlights (which cost me $210), I was escorted over to the product display by the owner who tried to get me to buy $80 hair products. I hate this kind of thing. The cut is great, but the highlights were too light and I feel they left my hair kinda crispy. The staff was very friendly, I just wish they hadn't tried to sell so hard. read more

I had a horrible hair color experience at a local salon and desperately needed a major color correction. I called Villa Salon and was blown away at how nice and accommodating they were to get me in as soon as possible. Ati, the owner, was so extremely knowledgable and I immediately felt at ease knowing I was in good hands. I walked in there with hair that was colored horribly and walked out looking like a different person! My hair color was spot on and my highlights were beautiful. I can't say enough about this salon and its staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Neda, a hair stylist at Villa, also offers threading services. When I first starting seeing Neda my brows were sparse. I had over tweezed them and I never thought I could have beautifully shaped, thick brows. Neda has worked miracles with my brows. She shaped them with threading and urged me not to touch them. I followed her advise and kept up with my threading appointments. After a few months, they are full and have a beautiful arch shape. What a difference brows can make. Neda is awesome & so is all the friendly staff at Villa. Make an appointment, you won't be disappointed. read more

I've followed Andrea for cut and color for 14 years. I've strayed a time or few in between, but when I've moved out of town. Now, I live out of town and make teh 6 hour commute (yes, really!) five times a year so I have have my tressed tended by Andrea. Both cut and color last so well, I am NEVER tempted to stray. Beautiful Salon! I've been patronizing Villa since it opened, and I have a standing appointment every 3 weeks with the owner, Ati. He does a great job with coloring, cutting and styling. I've also had a few updos with which I was very happy. Overall, the staff is professional, helpful and friendly. The newer stylists seem to have brought an established clientele to the salon, and it is bustling, but not overly crowded. They offer a nice collection of products and a unique gift items, too. Not long ago, Villa added online scheduling, which I really appreciate. I don't live near the salon and probably drive past 20 others on my way to my hair appointments, but it is worth it to me. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, so don't let them deter you! read more

I have seen Chris for a year now. He is kind, easygoing, a good listener, fun to talk to, and an amazingly talented stylist. Since I started seeing him at Villa a year ago I get more compliments than ever on my hair - style and health/softness/shine. He will always give you an honest answer when it comes to ideas on changing your style - but he's never pushy. For a while I was coming in twice a week for styling. Great experience! This is a lovely salon and spa with professionals who are very welcoming. They really know how to pamper you and give you a luxurious experience. Ati is an amazing stylist who understands hair textures and knows how to give you the look you want. He will transform your hair! He is up to date on the most current trends but the most important thing is that he listens to you and he understands hair. He is an artist and hair is his canvas. My haircut is a precision cut and it is difficult to execute because I have thick, heavy hair that is both wavy and curly, with a mind of it's own. Ati gets it. I only had to tell him one time what look I wanted and he totally understood. He got it perfectly. He gives me a smooth, sleek look that is easy to manage and is pretty miraculous, considering my hair texture. In fact, it now takes me half the time it used to for my daily hair routine because the cut is so perfect that it falls right into place.
