Such a beautiful place. Unfortunately we didn't take many photos. The cafe in site was delicious. The Sommelier was so knowledgeable and friendly that we felt at home. Check them out the next time in town!

We had a wonderful experience at Villa Toscana Winery! The wines were excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the entire visit was relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Maria, who was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made our tasting experience so much fun. We also want to thank Nick for being so kind, accommodating, and welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The exceptional hospitality from both Maria and Nick made our visit truly memorable. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend Villa Toscana Winery to anyone looking for great wine and outstanding customer service!

The wines were aromatic with lots of options, and for the red tasting you can pick 6 wines out of 14‼ My favorite was the Old Vine Zinfandel, and if you like Cabernet, I definitely recommend the Barbera. :) The food was amazing too! The French fries were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also loved the relaxed Napa style vibe (you get that Napa feeling at half the price), and the dog friendly patio was perfect! (FYI: If you're sitting on the patio, you'll need to pop inside to the counter for your next tasting.)

    Mural in tasting room.

Great wines, beautiful property, and the perk of a bistro onsite too. We tasted six wines--a mix of red, white, and sweet. All were good but I had some clear favorites. My dad is a member so tastings were complimentary; also comp'ed if you purchase a bottle. Loved the red barbera and reserve port (which was not as sweet as the house port). We sat at a lovely spot near the water and didn't have to wait long for our pizza and French dip. So nice to have food available right there. Now I know why this is my dad's fav (and he knows wine well) plus worth the hour+ drive from Lincoln to Plymouth.

Great winery to visit and enjoy a nice area to have lunch and just enjoy the outdoors. Great selection of wine and cute landscape for some great photos. They have a merc store with some really cute purses and reasonable prices!

Came here with friends for the free pasta Sunday lunch. We ordered a bottle of delicious wine and then enjoyed the pasta, salad and focaccia bread buffet. After lunch we enjoyed generous pours by Dan in the tasting room. Our friends were club members and said the membership required 4 bottles purchased 3 times a year. If you enjoy wine and pasta you should definitely pay Villa Toscana a visit

A perfectly delightful assemblage of buildings, gardens, and outdoor spaces... it was unfortunate that the temperature was 109 degrees, too. We have a bottle of their wine that we got as a gift and haven't tried yet, but then comes with high accolades. Primarily, we came for an afternoon 'snack'. Due to the weather, very few people were here. There's a separate building from the wine tasting room for a small deli type cafe, without any indoor seating. There's a large outdoor tent for dining and events, and we waited there for a grilled chicken sandwich wne a salad. Staff was friendly and gave us napkins and utensils to take the meal off site to our hotel, where we could eat at a decent temperature. We'll go back when the weather is better and explore the other parts of this place, including a wine tasting.

Tritip bbq Sando and what was supposed to be a $14.99 full size ceasar salad which was not worth the money.

I ordered a full size Ceasar and got a side salad for $14.99. Looks like a lot in the picture but it's actually 1 inch high and didn't fill half of the box.

This winery is a do not miss winery! Best white wines I've ever had. Service is friendly and accommodating. Location is beautiful and tranquil. Lots of parking. No reservation needed.

Ordered pizza and a lemon and berry mascarpone cake and drank two glasses of wine (Bella Rosa & Viognier) It was all delicious, clearly home made and the wine was *chef's kiss*. Beautiful setting, can't beat the views.

Today they ran out of food at 1:30pm for the members. Had over 30 people waiting for food. The guy whom runs the counter ran out of wine glasses and clearly there is an issue. When we drive over one hour to come here. This is disappointing they should plan better as today is Sunday and it's a nice day.

    Yummy desserts!

I'm very new to wine tasting. Do we just show up? Or do you make appointments? Is this very much like club hopping, but more sophisticated? Hmmm...I just live around here and drive by so maybe if like to stop in some day.

Hi, if you would like to have a sit down tasting it will require a reservation. But, if you are just popping in at the bar, no reservation required. Cheers! 209-245-3800 for reservations.

Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. Apparently, this is the related winery to Villa Toscano located nearby, which we had previously visited. Once again, I found myself a fan of this place also! It too, is surrounded by eye pleasing countryside views, with lovely ponds, fountains, flowers and comfortable seating areas along the outdoor patios. The entrance opens into a large room where the tasting counter is at the far end. But before getting there, you are tempted on the way over to browse the retail area which features home decor, artwork, designer accessories, and clever wine connoisseur gifts. The walls are decorated with assorted flags and a family style crest over the focal point of the wine tasting bar. The wines offered on the wine tasting list were similar to what we had tried before at Villa Toscano. But we ordered another $5.00 flight that included our favorites along with a few we hadn't tried yet. If you're planning a weekend wedding near the Bay Area, go visit and your search will be over. No other spot we visited offered such freedom to plan our own weekend celebration in a gorgeous setting - right on the Cosumnes River in the foothills of the Sierra - and at a worthwhile rate. They have been available for weddings for years, but, due mostly to word of mouth, are now filling up each year (we visited in mid-November and they only had 2 spots left). So far, our experience has been better than we could have imagined. When we arrived to check out the place (and stay a night in their River Cabin), a fire was roaring in the cabin and we found a basket filled with fresh-picked figs and a bunch of varieties of apples. They grow on site, in their diverse orchard (apples, plums, peaches, persimmons, nectarines...). Friendly and helpful hosts David and Bill gave us an amazing tour of the site, walking us through: - the commercial kitchen - wood cabins and tent areas (max 60 overnight guests/200 daytime guests) - the wedding site, a huge grass lawn along the river - introducing us to David's otherworldly 200 pound tortoise, Abe! We got to talking and never felt rushed. They were genuinely excited to share their property. Since then, communication has been prompt and kind. We're very excited to have our wedding there and I'll update this review with more information once we do. To note - the town of Plymouth has limited lodging and restaurants, but nearby Sutter Creek is an adorable and healthy old gold-rush town with plenty of B&Bs, shops, etc. And Amador County is a great spot for wine tasting, a huge plus! UPDATE: We had our wedding here and it all went wonderfully - I highly recommend this location. A ceremony along the beautiful river with great catering and a genuine feel - just right.

The owner, Rachael, was exceptional to work with and super flexible to meet all of our needs. The day of the viewing owner cancels it because she said she didn't have another confirmation? We liked the Barn and outdoor ambience. Side note- Rachel is definitely not a venue event professional. Rachel complained about Plymouth Not allowing her to have her winery. We were quoted one price. With table, chairs as well as outdoor chairs and the arbor were all included with a few cases of wine. As stated in the contract. We submitted the contract and paid the non refundable deposit to set the date. The contact is very informal and missing many disclosures. It also doesn't state anything about having to paying $60 a table to have outside or $10 a bench to sit on. Table and chairs were told all part of the package per the contract. As we got closer to the date and I emailed Rachel regarding some questions. First Rachel said they don't do outdoor tables. I replied that I saw her venue with outdoor tables off her website. Rachel replied "show me" I sent her the pictures from her own site showing out door tables. Rachel responds they are personal parties she has thrown. Along with a few other questions I had to regarding seating, food and music etc. Rachel emailed me back with a rude tone. Telling me she attached my contact for me to re-familiarize myself with it. That I had a lot of questions, she's never had a client with so many questions. Again, her contract did not state or disclose anything about table and chairs costing more to set a few outside. A week before the wedding Rachel says she hasn't gotten the catering insurance or the policy she needs me to get on the property for the date. I reached out the catering company that Rachel had recommended due to they have worked this venue prior. They confirm they have sent the needed information several times. I asked them to resend and CC me. Then Rachel in the emails says "got it". I then ask Rachel for the needed WI-FI information for the musician that will be needed. Rachel reply's telling me to have him use his hotspot. Totally unacceptable! Rachel emails me asking me for an itinerary of the event and times. The day before the event we arrive as scheduled. Rachel very rudely say oh you're already here. Rachel sat on her computer and watches us for the two hours as we are setting up. The was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Rachel also had her kid going in and out of the venue while we are there setting our stuff up. This was not okay as we were setting up table placements plates cups etc. would like to know that people where not touching or coughing on what we are putting out. The day of the venue I assume Rachel thought she was going to sit and watch us and our guest. Rachel had a very rude and unfriendly vibe that all our guest felt and definitely made comments about her presence. Rachel walked around during our wedding and while we were eating with a very intrusive, warden style demeanor. In Racheal's contract it is stated that we must pay to feed her and her staff and allow them to drink our drinks. This is a vague disclosure. This is very concerning to me as if I had to get an insurance policy on the venue. If any staff get hurt or drink. I do not wish to be held responsible or have to monitor if the staff are minors. They will then use my policy to cover the cost of their injuries etc. I'm still confused to why it states in her contract that we are to feed them. We did not invite them to the wedding or allowed them to attend our wedding. Or hire them for any services? We clearly are renting the venue. I can't explain how totally uncomfortable it was having Rachael un invited walking around and watching us and our guest with this warden vibe. At the end of the night we had 9-10 to do clean up. At around 8:45 Rachel appeared agin with a very unwelcome tone to watch us clean up. I have learned since the event that we are not the only people that have experienced this from the Stone Barn Winery. It has been brought to my attention that Rachel has been kicked out of people's weddings and has many unhappy clients. Plymouth is very small town that Rachael has a un popular reputation in Plymouth for this type of behavior. It is posted on social media from others about their own experiences and encounters with Rachel. I am concerned about the over charging me $1,000. 00 and making my guest uncomfortable and putting stress on me for my wedding day. Rachael is a poor business owner and this needs to be brought up to the attention to consumer affairs and the BBB. With us in need of a venue with the set date and non refundable deposit of half the cost. We had no other options but to make the best of it. No one should have to pay money to be treated this way and have this type of stress added to their special day.
