    a cookie and a quarter

Ordered a tin of thumbprint cookies. They were tiny, broken cookies in a small tin container that did not ship well to the Florida Keys. Not suitable to serve to quests. Expensive lesson learned.

Most beautiful birthday cake by the Village Bake Shop! My birthday falls around the 4th when the Bake Shop is closed so we had to order it prior and freeze it and it was still the best cake

This is NOT what I ordered. Wrong message and babies name is tiny hanging off the banner.

If you need a special design this NOT the place for you. The pictures speak for themselves. I ordered the cake and cookies below for my son and daughter-in-law's Lumberjack themed baby shower. I spoke with Theresa who told me that she could absolutely do these designs except that she could not make the moose. She said that I would need to provide a cake topper; which I did. My son picked up my order and paid for them with his debit card and I was to reimburse him that evening. He did not know what was ordered. He was just there to pick it up and pay for it. I took one look at the cake and cookies and was in absolute shock! The cookies did not look like they came from a professional bakery and the cake was even more disappointing. This was NOT what I ordered. The bottom of the cake was supposed to look like wood but it looked as if I had iced a cake with white icing. The message on the front was the wrong saying and off-centered. It was supposed to say "from tiny seeds grow mighty trees." But it read"from tiny seeds you will move mountains." which was not only incorrect; it absolutely made no sense. The banner on the top layer was tiny compared to what I ordered. The baby's name was not easily read and the last letter of the name was barely on the banner. I called and spoke with Theresa and she said that there was nothing she could do about it. She was out of town and there was no one at their establishment that was capable of correcting the error. She went on to basically say that I needed to get over it and just enjoy the shower. She said that she would "make this up to me." Left in the lurch by Village Bakery and at great expense, we scramble around and found another place to do an overnight rush order, to fix this cake and cookie disaster. You would think with this inconvenience that this establishment would be helpful and at least reimburse our charges but no. We were told, "We have been here 57 years and we have never given refunds." They did offer to provide us with more cookies or cupcakes -- 2 days after the shower.

Nothing worse than cold donuts with coffee. The donuts were good and the person waiting on me didn't know if they had coffee made or not. As far as parking is concerned. That is what gets them 3 stars. There are two signs right out front that specifically states for The Village Bakery customers only. They gave me my coffee in a cup without a lid. They said they didn't have any. So, I told her to fill it 3/4 full so it won't spill in my truck as I'm driving. She still charged me full price for a cup of coffee. Now, why can't they order lids for their coffee cups. I mean there is no inside seating.

    "Boss baby cake"

I ordered a boss baby cake for my sons first birthday and this is what I got. I asked if she could do it and they said yes. Highly disappointed with this place I don't recommend. This ain't even picture worthy. I could have done it better myself!!

Always received excellent products and excellent service. Their prices are very competitive with the big box stores.

My boyfriend and I get thumbprint cookies and coffee cake here occasionally. We love it. It's a great place to get a treat.

The thumbprint cookies bring back nostalgia of trips with my grandmother, and they still taste the same as when I was a kid.

My friends and I were always lucky to snag a table for us those times. But coming in the morning is really pleasant. I've only gotten coffee here in the past, so this time we got food. I got a Pistachio Croffin (croissant muffin) and we shared a Berries and Cream crepe. And that first bite of that crepe was absolutely delicious. We were planning on sharing that crepe with another friend, but that crepe was so good we demolished it haha. We ended up ordering the Spinach Pesto crepe to share for later instead. But wow, I have nothing but praise for these crepes because they blew me away. The Berries and Cream crepe was just amazing. Fruits tasted fresh and juicy. The crepe itself was perfectly sweet. And the whipped cream cheese filling inside was light and creamy. I couldn't ask for more in a fruit crepe. Also the light drizzle of sweetened condensed milk on top? Chef's kiss. And then we tried the Spinach and Pesto crepe. It had all my favorite things inside, so of course I loved it. I loved the savory pesto spread inside the crepe, the spinach, ricotta, and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The tomatoes added a nice acidity to balance and the balsalmic glaze tied it all together on top. It felt like applause roared in my mouth. Also I can't forget the Pistachio Croffin I ate too. It had great texture, and had that subtle nutty flavor from the pistachio. I really liked it. Anyways, I'm a big Morning Brew fan. It's poppin' in the afternoon and it's tough getting a seat, but it's not hard to see why. I prefer the early mornings for a more quiet and less chaotic atmosphere. Love you morning brew! I will always remember how those crepes rocked my world and I'll definitely be back.

The area is huge on water rafting, so it was quirky and fitting. We loved that the coffee shop sells growlers of their cold brew. If we had been staying locally, we would have turned around and grabbed one. We both ordered cold brew (both with oat milk and hubby also got sugar free salted caramel syrup). The cold brew was berry forward and smooth. We will head back here again when passing through.
