I disputed this directly with the company on March 19th, the day of the installation, and did not receive a follow-up. I had to reach back out on March 31st to continue addressing the issue. At that point, they asked for photos, despite my earlier explanation that photos would not prove anything because of the nature of the work. Today, they responded by saying the pictures were "not proof" and agreed to issue a refund, but only after I pushed the issue. At that point, it's no longer just about the money. It's about integrity, poor internal communication, and how a legitimate customer concerns are handled by this business.

It looks beautiful and I love that it is water resistant. This year I plan to get my kitchen floor done. I always find great deals there so it saves me money,. And the installation is reasonable when I compare it to what my handyman would charge me to install. The installers work fast and efficiently. I have had no complaints. I've only used them and Empire. Empire was terrible, overpriced and did not even clean up after themselves.

Extremely disappointing experience with FCA Interiors of Merrillville and our salesperson, Bill…read more Our problems with this company started during the original flooring purchase and continued long after the sale. Communication and follow-through were consistently poor. There were numerous times when we were told something would be handled or that someone would get back to us, only for us to have to repeatedly follow up ourselves. During the original transaction, things became so frustrating that I ultimately had to contact Wells Fargo and dispute/reverse the payment made to the store before we finally got meaningful attention and our issues started being addressed. A customer should never have to go that far just to get a business to follow through on what was agreed upon. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We had to repeatedly contact Bill regarding unfinished items, scheduling, billing corrections, and getting an updated itemized invoice. At one point, we were still trying to get a stair nose installed after previously being told it would be taken care of. When I contacted Bill asking when our flooring project was scheduled to begin, his response was simply, "Call the store ask for Danielle." Most recently, we contacted them again about installing additional flooring that we had already purchased from the store. We were simply trying to get a labor quote for our kitchen and dining room. Again, getting a return call or even a quote became an ordeal. My wife was told she would receive a call back and didn't. When I contacted Bill about the lack of service, rather than addressing the problem, his response to me was, "Ha, ur funny." That response pretty much sums up the level of customer service we experienced. I understand that businesses get busy, installations can have complications, and mistakes happen. What I don't understand is having to repeatedly chase a company for basic communication, promised callbacks, quotes, scheduling, and corrections after spending our money there. We gave FCA Interiors multiple opportunities to earn our continued business. In fact, despite the problems with the original project, we were willing to purchase additional installation services from them. Unfortunately, the same communication problems happened again. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering FCA Interiors of Merrillville to make sure every price, labor charge, installation responsibility, credit, and promise is documented in writing, and keep copies of all communications. After everything we went through during the original purchase--and now having the same problems simply trying to get a quote--I cannot recommend FCA Interiors or Bill based on the customer service and follow-through we personally experienced.
