All broken and they say that are in good condition but when you go check it by the fixing bike to check it, it is all broken

The manager is a dick! Sold me a broken bike and told me that was fine. When I got back there to complain, he said that is my problem, not his! I'll never step in again bc they are not respectful with customers and sells broken stuff.

    World War IV just happened...

This location isn't exactly in the hood I reside, but it's a short-bus ride east. I knew I had to make it here at some point today for their half-off sale. The Village Discount Outlet (VDO) will disseminate the next-big sale with one of their stocking-stuffer flyers and through their PA system, in both English and Spanish. Having a sale means there will be a battle that doesn't necessarily generate casualties. When I went there after 1700 hour, I know there was some kind of war that has already occurred. Since I wasn't drafted earlier of the day, I could only imagine what was happening onsite. The entire store was messy, disorganized, and wiped-out! I just came from another VDO in the south side, and I haven't scored big today with anything. Thus, this store wasn't my last-ditch effort today for all the glory of my thrift-shopping. Although the stuff was everywhere, on the ground, on top of the racks, and inside a child's mouth (not kidding you), I was able to find a yellow acrylic beanie and a Ralph Lauren silk shirt for $3.80 after tax! This location is an awkward set-up. As soon as walking in, you will see the accessory department with shopping carts blocking on the hallway. After you cash in your purchase, the carts are still here to make the "supposed exit" inaccessible. I don't think it was designed wisely and thoughtfully. Well, this is a thrift store. Don't ask for too much because you're ready getting what you've paid for...or getting "more than" what you've paid for...sometimes. The public transportation is really convenient. I usually take the 81 (Lawrence) bus and get off at Clark. The other route is to use the 22 (Clark) bus and get off at Ainslie.

I'd say it's hard to find a deal here, HUGE inventory though and you might find something unique though I did not

It's a short little walk from the Argyle red line stop, so it's very accessible by train.

Also, I would like to thank all of the people that have come out to support businesses in this area that were hit hard by the current political climate in Washington D.C. At the height of violence in our streets I tried to do my best by supporting some of these businesses. During this phase 18th street looked like a ghost town on a Saturday. Normally on a Saturday in this neighborhood has people teeming everywhere and the smell of an asado in the air (Yum). Having time off and having an asado is the perfect way to relax and spend time with your family. Plus, who doesn't like the smell of an asado? Well during this time period I found this shop that I thought had some really cool and unique stuff. Also, you may notice that they have a fair amount of stuff with the famous Hulu's The Bear line, "Yes Chef, No Chef" on it. If you are a fan of the show like I am, then, the interior will look familiar to you because it was in a seen on the show (I think it was season 3). I immediately recognized the store and thought to myself "cool" and great choice. Anyhow, if you find yourself in the area, pop in and check it out. They are very selective as to which artists around the country they want to buy from and in turn sell their products. Maybe you will find that one unique thing that you have been looking for that you didn't realize you need. I mean, you never know unless you check it out. My fellow Chicagoans, please go out and support your local small shops!

My mom and I could've spent the whole day there, the staff was welcoming and the store offered the most cutest items that were reasonably priced.
