I had an absolute horrible experience here me and my girl got old food it was disgusting the guy was a little rude charged me extra for the fish special that I did get there once before. Needless to say I will never be back here again. This is the picture of the garlic bread they actually served us

Can we just say "huge portions" and unbelievable prices?!? This was our first time here (and came back the next day!) The reason? Our server Tish! When we arrived, she was our person! She was so personable, likeable, and gave us a little tour of the place (it wasn't busy at the time so we got her all to ourselves --it seemed liked it!) Love the feel here, seems so peaceful! Will definitely be back and see her! When you go, please ask for Tish!

I'm sure the Tehachapi Mountain Festival challenges many restaurants. There is a large influx of people and we all want to eat. We watched the parade and wandered around Central Park. There were many food vendors, but we wanted to sit inside. We walked over to Village Grill. They were pretty busy, but we go a booth near the front. Our waitress brought our drinks quickly and took our order. TheTriple-Decker sounded good to us. It came with choices of regular or seasoned fries. We went regular. It seemed our food was taking a while when our waitress came by to explain there was a mixup, but the food was on its way. It arrived shortly. This is good, old, diner food. It is tasty and in good portions. The service is very home style too. They are looking to please. A good place to eat.

Hubby and son went here this morning, if my son loves it- it is really good! (He is super duper picky) Yhe service was very quick and the restaurant itself is quaint and cute, very friendly staff. Again the food was scrumptious- highly recommend/

We are on our way to Death Valley and wanted a real breakfast and that's what we got at the VILLAGE GRILL. It was 9:00 AM on a Thursday and the joint was busy. The menu covers all possibilities and based on the other tables the portions are always large and tasty looking. I enjoyed the cinnamon roll french toast with two eggs and sausage links. Everything was very tasty. My wife enjoyed the Shake omelet. Hers also came with a entree size side of biscuit and gravy which we shared. The VG isn't fancy it is just great comfort food with friendly efficient service.

    Chile Verde Omelet. Would recommend!

Good food, good service. Just bring a fly swatter with you because you have to eat outside.

A bit disappointed with the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I thought I can make a better and tasty version at home.

Veggie omelet is great. Whole wheat toast is cardboard like. Coffee is terrible.

The cheese one you could have had alone and it would fill you up. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to sit and relax and annoy some great food and nice staff.

I've eaten in more restaurants than I can count thanks to work travel, and I've had Indian food…read morefrom coast to coast. Somehow, one of the very best is hiding right here in little old Tehachapi. The chicken tikka masala is so good I'd consider putting it in a thermos and taking it on my next flight. The biryani? Let's just say if loving it is wrong, I don't want to be naan-right. Everything we've tried has been packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and served with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like you're eating at a friend's house--if your friend happened to be an incredible chef. Prime Bar & Grill may have "bar" in the name, but don't let that fool you. This place is quietly serving Indian food that could go toe-to-toe with restaurants in much bigger cities and come home wearing the championship belt. If you're driving through Tehachapi and skip this place, that's a curry-ous decision. Five stars. I'd give it six if they'd let me lick the tikka masala bowl in public.
