We decided to take a quick detour off 202 on the way home and give this place a try. I don't have anything to complain about. The draft beers were ice cold, service was amazing, atmosphere was very chill and to top it off the food was awesome. I had the ribeye. It was seasoned great, cooked the way I wanted it. The baked potato was perfect and it wasn't dry. I ate the whole thing, the veggies are your typical vegetable melody. My clam chowder was pretty good. It's nice and thick. My wife had the pastrami loaded fries. Went to J's today , first time at their newer place. The place was busy with 1 waitress. There was another girl that sat you and brought drinks. Had to wait awhile to get service as noticed the regulars came first . Husband ordered the Ortega burger , said it was good other than the chili was diced instead of whole, made it a little hard to eat. I had the chicken Caesar salad, it was very good . Our church women's group had our Christmas luncheon at J's today. The staff was awesome. We were a party of 20, our glasses were always full. We each had separate tickets and they were taken with a smile and correctly. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. If you are looking for a place for your holiday gathering...go to J's. We had lunch, but they have a great breakfast menu too. There have been a lot of negative reviews about our very very favorite breakfast restaurant, J's recently which seem to be politically motivated. Make no mistake: the owners and their family make the food from scratch. The portions are more than generous, food is fresh and the quality is top notch.
