Village inn put the ham on the side, HOWEVER, they didn't include the poached eggs/hollandaise sauce that goes with the Eggs Benedict AND they didn't include the side of pancakes that went with my boyfriend's meal. The whole point in paying extra by ordering DoorDash is so you don't have to leave the house, but in this case I had to do BOTH! The VIB is always a good selection to get a variety of four choices. The crepe is now considered a supreme item for $1.25 more. We had breakfast here on Saturday morning and the parking lot was crowded but inside was somewhat less crowded than we expected so we were glad we decided to stay. The food was well peppered and tasty and although the service was slow we didn't mind the wait on a Saturday morning. Also, our waitress was helpful, courteous, and efficient. I had the Garden Omelette and my partner had the All American Breakfast I think it was called. We dine here periodically and I see all the low ratings I'm not sure what that's all about our experiences here have generally been above average. Went with the Inn-credible VIB so I could have eggs, bacon, sausage links and hash browns. The hash browns were meh - more like instant than made from scratch. The bacon average and the links ok. For a solid dining experience, breakfast, lunch or dinner, this Village Inn satisfies and is not expensive. Update: 3/2/2019 Slow Saturday and only one girl for each section for food service and bussing. The floors are filthy and the tables aren't very clean. I see a couple people who look managerial but stay in the back area. I don't see much teamwork going on as the one young girl is stressed doing everything by herself. The other side of the restaurant is being vacuumed and looks cleaner too. Maybe Leann just needs better training? Well, how do you forget an entire pie? Then when I call to ask about my door dash delivery....key word... delivery....I get told by a disrespectful employee...that I can come pick up the pie.... I repeated, it was delivered.... I get told if you want your pie come get it, that's the only way I can get the pie I ordered for delivery. The food....so bland....so not worth the 10.00 tip, added to a 50.00 dollar order to be told by the employee handing out the food to the drivers.... If I want the pie ....come pick it up. I was craving a lemon supreme pie so I went to get one. After calling four stores, this location had one. I was surprised inflation didn't cause the pies to increase, and now I know why. The lemon supreme pie is supposed to have 'supreme filling.' However, someone put whipped creamed there instead. Needless to say, I am very unhappy about this. I called the store and spoke to the manger. He described what the pie should have been, and I described what I received. The manager told me to return the pie for a refund. I'm not sure if I want to drive that far again to get a refund. The time and gas, I'm not sure it's worth it. I will be cancelling my holiday pie order. read more

Village inn was a pleasant surprise as I had never heard of it before, but I am ALWAYS down for breakfast for dinner. I got a skillet and when it arrived, I was very surprised at how large the portion was. It tasted great, and the eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking. The skillet also came with pancakes (which I found out you could sub for hash browns later), and those were the only weak point. I think the pancakes were a little too thick, to the point where they were a bit spongey. Overall though, I definitely enjoyed the village inn. read more

Village Inn is like an Eat n Park, King's, Bob Evan's - it is a restaurant chain you find in some states, but not others and yet seems to follow the same format so no matter the name the familiarity is the same. But while Eat n Park pushes their cookies and King's really loves their brownies Village Inn is all about their pies. I think the last time I was asked if I wanted a pie this much was my last family Thanksgiving at my late grandmother's. Seriously, every worker in that restaurant asked multiple times if I wanted a pie for dessert or to go or for the road. I couldn't quite imagine taking a pie for the road. The service was prompt and polite. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was good. I had the chicken sandwich which they slathered with ranch dress dressing. I scraped an inch of it off. Village Inn has really gone down hill from what it once was. Now it closes at 8pm instead of being open late at night. You could always count on them being open late so you could have something to eat after a evening out. Now your lucky if it's even open. And if the have the wait staff to serve you. And a cook to prepare your food correctly. Stopped in yesterday with family for something to eat around 5pm. Place had maybe 10 or 15 tables occupied. So not very busy. Wait staff was short handed. The single cook was the only one in the kitchen and was doing double duty, and doing dishes and prep from what I saw and heard. I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy. .it took almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My order arrived with no sausage patties. Instead it had 2 dried out sausage links cut in half in biscuits. The sausage gravy was cols along with the hashbrowns, and my overeasy eggs were over hard. The rest of our family's orders were wrong or missing items. VILLAGE INN used to be our go to place for late night eats. But no longer. We won't be patronizing them any longer. This is all due to the covid epidemic and its fall out. No one wants to work anymore. Everyone is short staffed, and the easiest way for them is to close as early as possible. Or just close and go out of business. Not just for Village Inn but every food service establishment. So if you have a good place to dine, good good, and customer service. The bacon queso stuffed hashbrowns are supposed to have queso, must have been out and they substituted American cheese. This is one of the worst village inns I've ever been in! The silverware given to us was filthy. Our coffee was barely Luke warm and It took about 30 minutes to get our food. (Wasn't even busy at that time) Once we got it, it was cold. When the manager Victoria asked us how our food was, we were honest and told her. She gave us a look of bewilderment and asked if she could remake it and we told her no, we didn't want to wait another 30 minutes and then went to speak with our server. Victoria came back with attitude and said she took 10% off our bill (which came to about 2.50) and then proceeded to tell us everyone else was pleased with their food that morning. This is a review for their pie only. My wife and I ordered a slice of the key lime pie, apple pie, and coconut pie. Order total came out to about $12. The key lime pie and coconut pit both had a ton of whipped cream on top. About 3/4th of the pie was just whipped cream. The actual pie part was about half an inch tall. Taste wise it wasn't bad. Tasted how it was supposed to taste. Nothing spectacular or memorable. Service wise it took them a really long time to notice we were standing there waiting. A clearly intoxicated gentleman was standing next to us waiting to be seated and started to chat with us. I wanted my pie so I could leave, but they took their time getting it. read more

They are always understaffed, regardless of the day or time, and we have yet to go when they aren't out of a menu item. As every other time, we ordered pie to go. I honestly don't think I have had anything but pie and breakfast at any Village Inn - and I love both! This VI is in the parking lot that has Movie Tavern. It is a little quieter than the Southlands location and I found the staff really friendly. Can't go wrong with their skillets or pies! Also, their buttermilk pancakes are the best - simple goodness. Things were out of control inside the restaurant for people trying to pickup carryout orders. Not a good experience. There were many other people in there feeling the same way. People were being mistreated for spending money at the restaurant. Like there was something wrong with them for deciding to spend money at that restaurant. Why treat people like that? Our order was shorted the biggest item in the order which came out to $19.42 with sales tax & tip factored in. The family member that picked up the order didn't even feel comfortable going back in. We tried calling, they hung up on us. We reached out to them online, ignored again. We had to file a dispute with our bank to get the money refunded. We'll never go back there again. No way. read more
