My husband and I came for breakfast this. The food and service was great. Our server Kelly was top notch.

I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't expecting much to begin with. I was expecting your typical family diner laid back atmosphere with your typical diner food. I'm from out of town it had been my first time ever going to a Village Inn before. Everyone up front was friendly and greeted us quickly and kindly. The tables were flipping fast as it was Sunday morning and this location is next to several churches. The waitress was ok but kind of rude. I get it she was busy but could have taken a minute to have better service. Other patrons there informed me "oh, she isn't my favorite waitress here, I just put up with her" people like that shouldn't be working in the food service industry. Especially a place that clearly prides itself on good something because they have an award for their location on display. To top that off, what is really going on with the ceiling and the vent. Seems unsafe to me. I'm not sure if I would come back or not. Probably not to this location. It is close by where I was staying but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. It's a nice little diner though, the tables were clean and the food was really good! Everything else, kinda suboptimal. read more

Not fancy, not crowded just fairly straightforward food at fair prices. Village Inn is a favorite breakfast spot for me for all the normal reasons and things you'd generally want for breakfast. But outside of breakfast one of my favorite meals is the roast turkey. It's a generous serving of sliced turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and a side of Texas toast or biscuit. It's not perfect though, the biscuit tasted like it had been warmed up in the microwave and it was more like a roll rather than a biscuit. I'm pretty sure the stuffing and the potatoes come out of a box. Overall with the gravy and the cranberry sauce it's not bad. They have an app, an awards program and they have Pie Wednesday which gets you a free slice of pie with the purchase of a meal. You got me at free! Is it the best pie I've ever had? Not by a longshot. Some are better than others. I think the crust is where it really fails. This Monday evening at 7:00pm I was one of only about 8 other patrons. food i went to the restaurant with momma, little bro, and his girlfriend, since the latter suggested that spot and i appreciate the concept of featuring various pies so prominently at a breakfast restaurant that the former remains a distinct component of the restaurant concept while mixing smoothly into the overall dining experience. for an entree, momma and i decided to split an omelette, the variety of which i'm not currently recalling, though it had cheese on top and veggie fillings. further, the omelette meal included a stack of pancakes and choice of another side, for which momma wisely selected hash browns, a choice that rarely disappoints anywhere as a side for breakfast. the food was all delectable, from the savory omelette, to mildly crispy hash browns that i had to top with ketchup because who in a right mind treats hash browns like fries, and fluffy though light stack of pancakes with a square of butter on top and syrup container not far from it on the table that eventually called me to pour enough onto the pancakes to notice syrup dripping from the stack. and lastly, as if the meal, pancakes with sweet syrup and all, was not enough, i'd requested a slice of banana cream pie to take with me, as that was and remains the variety of pie that pairs most nicely with breakfast, and the piece momma bought for me certainly hit the spot. service the service during the dining experience was collectively superb, including the host at the front counter first politely and kindly guiding us to a table and a skillful server respectfully tending to our needs and delivering multiple aspects of a satisfying restaurant dining experience, such as getting all the food to the table at aproximatly the same time and filling coffee cups, since 3 of us besides our ps prince ordered drip coffee. also, while i do not recall if the server told us we can order pie and pay at the front counter, the display case of pie at the counter gave enough indication of where we needed to go for the steps i mentioned. ambiance to keep it simple, i'd compare the restaurant ambiance to the bustling atmosphere i would generalize from previous experiences at ihop restaurants, due part to a similar open room floor plan with person size table dividers, though with an alternate color scheme and the centerfold pie counter. read more

Village Inn is nothing special, but it's always reliable. I am not a fan of their lunch/dinner options but their breakfast is usually good. The eggs usually come out right but the hashbrowns tend to get very very done if I ask for crispy. Service is usually good and fast. It's usually quiet and a chill atmosphere. read more

This place is kind of like a copy of Denny's. With all the mom and pop breakfast spots in Tulsa there's a lot better breakfasts to be had. I ordered a cross country omelette sub the hash browns for grilled tomatoes. The omelette wasn't fully cooked, cheese wasn't melted and no ranchero sauce. Coffee taste it more like tea with how watered down it was. Service was good but the food was mediocre at best. read more

The parking lot was packed but we got seated as soon as we came in! They had two bussers who were very attentive to cleaning tables and getting dirty dishes off the tables. I got two huge slices of wheat toast, 1 waffles, and some avocado. It wasn't much avocado but that's okay! My hubs got bacon,biscuit and gravy, taters, and 2 egg cheese omelette! The bacon wassss a huge hit! The seasoning on it was phenomenal! Our server was great and she brought my hubs two drinks to get him started which was awesome since we didn't ask! We didn't know what to expect because I googled 'restaurants near me open' and this popped up. It was a bit of a drive, so we hoped it would be good. Our server, Shawna, was excellent. She told us what her personal favorites are and why. Very professional and attentive. I had the cheesecake crepe combo with cheese and onions on my hash browns. Everything was delicious, the crepes were amazing! There were fresh strawberries inside and out, and the cheesecake filling was perfect. The decor reminded me of a casual diner back in my hometown in New Jersey, so to me it was homey and friendly. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. read more

Got off work at 8:30pm and wanted to grab a breakfast, so I headed to the Harvard location arriving at 8:40. Found ample handicap parking but most of the other spaces we filled. Finally squeezed into a space and hurried inside. I was greeted by the hostess, who was an elderly lady who looked very tired. I asked for a seat for one and she responded "We close at 9:00!" I said okay, just want a quick breakfast, "I don't think we have time to cook that." I said, It's only 8:45" and she politely said, "I'm sorry." This hostess was very nice, but physically exhausted by appearances. Unfortunately, this was a bad experience for me. There were several people in the restaurant and a party of six arriving as I was leaving. I thought boy are they in for a surprise. Bottom line: If you don't want to serve anyone after 8:45, change your closing hours. I googled the store before heading that way and it indicated closing hour at 9. I ended up going home hungry. Went to village inn recently, fairly late at night and with a pretty large group of people. They did a pretty good job of accommodating us. They put us in their party room, which is toward the back around the corner kind of. I don't think I knew that was there so I wanted to make sure to include that in this update too! They also mentioned that they had another group in their party room on the other side (so, now I know there are two party rooms!). They aren't super big... basically just big enough to hold one long table. Probably seats about 25-30 max? Still a good way to get large (and let's face it, loud) groups out of the way. At first, because we were a larger group than expected and because it was somewhat later at night I assume, the service was a bit frazzled and caused them to be a bit rude even. They sort of made it seem like they were inconvenienced by us being there and having to keep the chef(s?) there longer (though in our defense, this location is open 24hrs so someone was gonna be there anyways whether we were there or not) and told us we needed to be quiet. I totally understand both frustrations, it just came across as a bit rude at first. This was mainly coming from a man who I assume was in charge at the time, so again, I kind of get where he was coming from. We did feel kind of bad about bringing in so many people out of nowhere and at a less common time, so we did offer to go somewhere else, but they said it was fine. Anyway, eventually they got nicer to us as we were there longer and I think some of the initial frustration of us being there wore down a bit. Our waitress, I think her name is Jimmie?, especially warmed up to us and I think she did a great job. It's hard work to be the only waitress with a group of AT LEAST 20 and she not only did a good job but did it while staying polite and even lighthearted, as she joked around with us a bit. Also, despite there being so many of us with only one of her, anytime I made a request it was taken care of SO quickly!!! Like when I asked for ranch to go with my meal (as she was still handing out other people's plates) and a to-go box at the end, it was there when she came back to the table the very next time... I didn't even have to remind her like I normally would in similar situations, or even less crazy situations! I wasn't expecting that, so I wanted to mention that too in this update! read more

I did not like the service at all. First the lady said she did not have any booths open. We walked past two open cleaned booths to sit a table. Then she took a drink order from a couple that sat down 10 minutes after us. Walked to the back, came back out and proceeded to take their food order. Now I don't want to add that we are of color and the other couple was white. I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. I will never go back to this chain of restaurant on Harvard by 31st street. read more

Excellent food. Husband had breakfast and almost couldn't finish. I had soup and 1/2 sandwich. The four Wisconsin cheese was very good. Had appt so didn't order pie but it sure looked good. Staff was outstanding. read more

Update to my July review. Happy to say I've been back several times, usually around 9-10am and it's never too crowded. Every time since July, every staff member is wearing a mask. Everybody is socially distanced. No condiments on the table unless you ask for them. Greeted immediately by friendly staff and asked for preference (booth or table). I always get a booth. I'm usually by myself. I almost always get the "2-2-2" breakfast. 2 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy and two strips of very crisp bacon for $7.99. It's a deal and it's always cooked perfect. The food comes out quickly and the waitresses always check to make sure you don't need anything. Hand sanitizer is available as is contactless check out. All in all a good, safe place to enjoy a meal. Good job, Village Inn. read more

People at work loved the pies. I thought they were super sweet and could only eat an inch and a half sample of each through the shift. I liked the French silk, essentially fluffy chocolate pie. The white chocolate mousse was way sweet, Oreo crust, unidentifiable filling and what turned out to be cherry topping. I think my co workers would give the pies at least four stars. read more

Village Inn is a family restaurant, typical of this type of chain establishment. You will always find something for everyone on the menu. We come here about once a week or so. I tend to get breakfast since it is served all day but I have tried a few different items. The menu is typical for a place like this. But they do have special limited menus that feature unique items. For example, last month they had special french toast dishes that are more like brunch items and pretty good. This month I noticed they feature different crepes dishes. They currently have a special called Pie Rush Wednesdays where you get a free slice of pie with your order. You will have to ask the server for details. I have tried several pies and they are all good. You can order pies by the slice or get a whole pie. They also take pre-orders on holiday pies which comes in handy during the hectic holidays. The service here can be spotty but never horrible. Everyone is always friendly. Sometimes your food can take awhile and other times it is out quickly. It all depends on the staff that particular day. I usually order breakfast. My order is perfect every time. The eggs are cooked to order, the sausage is tender, the hash browns are crisp and the french toast is tasty. If you want a good burger try the All-World double cheeseburger. You get 2 thick hamburger patties and it's more than enough meat for any carnivore. One plus is that if you can wait until after the lunch hour, it is not too busy. Your shot at getting good service is dramatically increased. According to their sign they offer free WIFI but I have not tried it so I can't say anything more than that they offer it. I like the food, the service is ok, the place is clean and they are open 24 hours almost every day. I will continue to come again. read more

Fast service and ok food. I had the Nashville Scrambler and it was ok, comes with a side of three pancakes. I substituted mine for a biscuit with gravey. When we were putting my leftovers in a box, there was a puddle of grease sitting under my food. This grossed us out. Despite the food being ok, there is no need for so much grease in cooking. The best part were the cheesy hashbrowns. Move over Cracker Barrel, there are new cheesy hashbrowns in town. BF had the Spicy Chicken Scrambler and it was a dissapointment. The jalapeño and bell peppers were raw, and had hardly any chicken. We know not to expect the highest of quality from these types of establishments, but for $30 (food, tea, coffee, and tip), we have decided this is our wake-up call to do more cooking at home for less and more for our health. read more

A place where the food is pretty good and the other customers are ummm interesting. We go to several different Village Inns and have encountered some interesting people. This time there was some type of cosplay meeting? We saw Elsa, Anna, a panda, a fax- perhaps? In any case the breakfast food is always good, and we usually have coupons from the weekly mailer. We enjoy the omelets and my son loves the strawberry crepes. They give big portions! The staff was super nice here. read more

Village Inn is a Tulsa favorite and has been for years. I must admit they've never failed me on making my tummy happy; I've also only eaten breakfast there. I've always preferred it over IHOP but that's because it's local. I recently went in this weekend and they have completely redone the place. It looks like more of a modern diner which is fine because it still feels the same...just cleaner. Not that is was ever dirty. read more
