This is Kelsey at JJs Woodfired Pizza in Franklin. She was working the front of the House alone. I met a friend there for an early dinner tonight. The food was wonderful and the prices were very competitive. Honestly, when I saw the menu online I thought it was an old one because of the prices when we got there and could actually get a cheeseburger for $12.99, I haven't seen one in a restaurant that good for less than $17 or $18 in a while. And Kelsey was amazing. She was tending bar, waiting tables and clearing tables. I never felt like we had to wait and she never looked like she was rushing around and yet here she was bartending, taking pizza orders on the phone and doing everything. She had. Went to JJ's for pizza 6/25/2025. Had always had great pizza there but seemed to close for a while. The sign on the door said " Under New Management ". I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the waitress said they were out of pepperoni because it was back ordered. How in the hell can a pizza restaurant be out of pepperoni. There is a Hannaford 2 miles away. Anyways, I ordered a sausage and roasted red pepper. My wife got a different pizza. Well, we started to eat our pizzas and both of us could barely chew it. The cheese was like rubber with thick chunks you had to chew and chew. I've eaten pizza for years and never had anything like this. They must have been out of mozzarella too. First time into the restaurant and I'm now a fan. Walking in we saw a guy tossing dough next to the large oven which made me so hungry. Our server was Jeff and he was very polite and accommodating. He was proactive and went above and beyond to take care of us. We ordered wings with the house sauce and they were so good. They were a very good size and we got a side of ranch and bleu cheese each. Loved the house sauce and how crispy and tasty the wings were. The dressings were brought out early and when the wings came, our server offered to replace the dressings as they had been sitting out. It wasn't very long so they were still cold to the touch, and we kept them, but nice of him to offer. After the wings came the pizza. We got a large BBQ chicken pizza and it was amazing. Crispy and delicious, it wasn't a type of pizza I'd usually get but I'm glad I tried it. I was getting full but couldn't stop eating it was so good. Ended up finishing the whole pizza and if I wasn't so full, I'd have ordered another one! There were many highlights of the night, the service, the wings, but the pizza, namely the crust was perfect. 10/10! I've had great and no-so-great pizza all across New England and the rest of the country, it is hard to get the crust just right. JJ's succeeds and belongs at the top. The food was great , but with the decline of workers all being on welfare and government subsidies they're down a cook so they're not doing take out orders any longer. So we drove from Campton because they took their phone off the hook so we couldn't even find out that they're not doing take out. It's sad to say that this place has gone downhill drastically from the bartender having her boyfriend hang out there all day long while she works to very rude employees that hang up the phone for starters the menu online everything is marked half price online and then you go and sit there and order food service is forever. I have driven past this place many times and finally stopped for the very first time. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service was awesome. We got our drinks and ordered our pizza and then waited and waited, come to find out they made our pizza wrong and had to make a new one which only took a few extra minutes and was well worth the wait. They made sure we took home the wrong pizza free of charge, which was also excellent the next day. For our first time there and the mistake they made, all was good cause on a scale from 1 to 10, the pizza is clearly a 10. We are already looking for our next visit. read more

Decided to try this place for the first time. That was a big mistake and the reason was as follows. Once got home and 2 mins after walking in the door the phone rang and the first thing out of someone mouth was when they calked is you need to come back and pay for the pizza not even identifying themselves . The one I gave the money to never put the pizza's is was told in there system well how did they know what pizza to make. When I got home and tried the pizza the bottom of the pizza was not even cooked all the way thru it was all soft dough. I should have gone to Al's pizza. Tried calling 3 times and the phone has been busy. If you go make sure you got your money. Last time for me and a was of my hard earned money. Hate to even try there drinks. read more

We stopped at this place after finishing off our ride of the Northern Rail Trail. Great selection of beers on tap and bottle. I had the Buffalo chicken pizza (without onions) and it was incredibly delicious. A small pizza is enough to feed two. Crust was perfect. JJ's is the newest pizza place to open in Franklin. It is located on Rt 3A a mile or so down from Benson's Auto on the opposite side of the road. It is in the same building that the Windfire pizza occupied, but nothing about place is similar and they made some great changes. The focus of the menu is obviously pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. They also offer subs, salads, and traditional pub fare. The taste of the wood fired pizza is amazing! They really do it right. The crust is thin and crisp, but never burnt. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The sauce is rich and flavorful. The subs are served on wide rolls, not the typical long, skinny sub rolls, and they are packed with meat and fresh veggies. They use Boars Head deli meat and cheeses, and it is sliced per order. That makes a great sub. Can you also request that your sub is heated in the wood fired oven. JJ's has sort of an open concept where you can watch the pizzas being made and few inside the oven. The atmosphere has kind of an organic feel. When you walk in you walk past shelves of stacked wood that they heat the oven with. The aroma of the wood fire and pizza cooking hits you right away. If you're not hungry when you walk in, it won't take too long. The restaurant has a horseshoe bar in the center and there are several large screens typically playing sports. They have a full bar and serve several craft beers on tap. They seem to bring in new local brews in bottles on a regular basis. They also have tables and hightops with full waitress service. The staff seems very friendly. Very professional, knowledgeable about the foods they serve, and very attentive to diners and bar patrons. After a long day a Highland Mountain Bike Park my kids and my 88 year old father just wanted to get a quick bite to eat and go back to our VRBO - Aiken Manor. It had been a very long and hot day. We decided pizza would be a good choice and wanted to try this restaurant on our last day in New Hampshire. Unfortunately(for us), the place was packed BUT... the staff was wonderful!! They said we could get take out and they would try to get it done ASAP but it would be a while. They were friendly and even gave my two boys popsicles while we waited.
