That's when Craig Enslin approached me about an Outback. He asked a few qualifying questions about 2021s versus older used models. He then drove up a beauty of a previous TriCity Sales customer 2017 Outback used car with 27K miles. It was pristine inside and out with not even front hood road chips. I took a drive and fell for the car; their final price and the trade-in on my Escape made it spectacular! Forward to my first free oil change and inspection. Perfect! Now I wanted to add Starlink Service. They did the 3G to 5G upgrade - No Charge as a goodwill courtesy. I don't get goodwill out of most car dealers these days, yet I did here! Be patient, be thorough, and find a great group of people who will work with you; that's what I found at TriCity.

Service department (claimed to) have performed an unasked-for "multi-point inspection" while my…read moreRidgeline was in for a battery replacement, and, I was informed, my rear brakes and rotors were in dire need of immediate replacement at a cost of $778.31. Instead of authorizing that repair I returned to Kittery AutoWorks, the shop that had performed exactly that service 6,000 miles ago (for $200 less) and asked them to inspect the brake system to see whether there was some mechanical flaw that could cause the pads to wear out so quickly. The result? As I suspected, pads and rotors are in perfect condition, "barely worn, nothing needs work". This makes the second, and final bad experience with this dealer's service department, and I will certainly never go there again for either service, nor for the purchase of a new car: if incompetents and crooks are tolerated in the mechanics' bays and behind the service desk, there are likely similar types to be found on the showroom floor.

Sales guy blew us off in 30 seconds when he learned we were just looking and told us "look around yourself". I don't know what I am looking for so how does that help us? I tried explaining some things I am looking for and our price point before he walked off and he pointed in the direction of the entire parking lot and said that section over there.
