My husband and I first introduced our families to one another on their beautiful patio, we had our twins baby shower in the banquet room and this last Sunday we celebrated the birthday of four pf our family members. The ingredients are always fresh and the trust on the pizza is always light and chewy. Honestly the original location is a slight notch above the newer Orilla location, we think it has to do with their seasoned ovens and the years they have been used. They did get rid of the salad bar but still have tons of salad options on the menu. Good food and a great location close to the theater for an after movie meal with friends and family

My son and I went here for dinner. There was 13 outside tables some of them sat 2 some 6. The pizza it's available in thin regular or thick crust. The server forgot to ask us what kind of crust we wanted. Therefore we got the regular crest. I can't believe how thick the regular crust is it was good. Due to that I would not recommend the extra thick crust. All the ingredients that they had we had roasted chicken, black olives, hot green chile, pepperoni, extra cheese. I think this was the best pizza I ever had here. the servers wear gloves and mask when taking your order and bringing your food or refills. They were kind of skimpy on the ice for the tea so I had them bring me an extra glass of ice. They would only bring two packages of sweetener for the iced tea Do to covid-19. Great way to order online and very simple. The staff was super friendly and helped me right when I came in for my carry out. The Taco Pizza was very good and we loved the crust and great toppings. Oh, Village Pizza. How you frustrated me tonight! We are currently staying at my parents' house in Rio Rancho because I am healing from major surgery and our house is under construction. We live right at the edge of Corrales and well within the delivery area of this establishment. My husband called with a delivery order so no one would have to leave me and the girl simply refused to pay attention to the address being given and kept saying we probably weren't in the delivery zone, completely brushing us off. I got on the phone and explained where the house was and that we have ordered delivery before and she just hung up on me. I called back and spoke to the manager who agreed we were well within delivery range and took our order from my husband. The food arrived around the time estimate given (about an hour - it was a busy night they said) but my husband said it just wasn't very good. read more

Such a terrible experience Friday night around 7pm. No one came to our table with menus for about 20 min after sitting down, the waitress who finally did come (septum piercing, very dark hair pulled up) was so unfriendly. Took an hour for our food to come out, we had to go to the front for all napkins and silverware, after about 30 min of waiting for our check we went to the front for that too, finally left after almost two hours. I've only done takeout from here until recently. We came after a day of swimming with the kids. We chose to sit inside to escape the heat however it was uncomfortably hot & humid inside. Luckily I had a handheld fan. No one took our drink order for about 10 minutes. The hostess actually came over & let us know she wasn't our server but she could get our drinks & appetizers. I appreciated that. I actually didn't know who our server was because about four different people waited on us. Our pizza took a long time. I noticed other tables who came in after us received their food before us & they all had the same server. We ordered two pizzas and an order of spaghetti. Our spaghetti didn't arrive until midway through our meal. We thought they forgot honestly. No one came by for refills so everyone's drinks were empty for half of the meal. I had to go to the front to ask for our check or risk waiting for someone to come by. The pizza was delicious as usual. The spaghetti was watery & not great. Overall this visit was not good & I will likely not be back for dine in. I am usually very understanding when it comes to slow service especially now during the pandemic however it seemed only our table had slow service. I had never been hear despite hearing great things about it for a long time and was excited to try it for a baby shower that was being hosted here. The pizza was fantastic- the green chili pepperoni was everything it should be and just enough acidity to the sauce to make it pop. We were in the private party room which was comfortable and away from the rest of the riff raff of the restaurant which was really nice. The pizza buffet reminded me of the old school days of Pizza Hut but less greasy and more refined- there were all different varieties of pizza (even unusual ones like artichoke...no one EVER has artichoke!), garlicky bread sticks, and cinna-squares, and salad. They got some great beers on tap but getting food at the buffet was just a little insane as everything was so crowded and the tables in the main dining area too close to the pizza serving station you couldn't get by if someone was standing there. The layout to the soda machine was also crowded and difficult to get around to. By docking a star, that is no reflection on the event or the private party space at all which I thought was a great success (heya, Catherine!). The loss of a star was more from the perspective if I came in as a normal diner. Overall, I'm glad I was able to finally check this place out after hearing about it for years. Well I just love this place! They were one of the sponsors of the Corrales Garden Tour so we decided to eat there after the tour. It wasn't immediately apparent if we seated ourselves or how that all worked - evidently they were in the middle of a shift change so things were a little confusing for everybody. We found menus on the bar and stood in line behind others to order, but when we got up there they said since we were dining in we could just take a seat and a server would be with us. Friendly staff, nice sangria. Liked the vibe of the place, and there's plenty of seating. The pizza was yummy and piping hot! It came out perfectly! This is a great little spot. The pizza is delicious! Ingredients are really fresh and flavorful and there is something about their dough and cheese that is really distinct. They have a few other food offerings, like salads and pasta, but really nothing compares to their pizza. Also, if you aren't getting green chile on your pizza in New Mexico, are you even doing it right? The atmosphere of their patio in-particular is really charming. It's hard to beat a cold beer under the cottonwood trees, especially in the spring and summertime. Great local pie here In corrales - always busy and always solid pie. It's a hand tossed pie with a slightly thicker crust but not too thick...for hand tossed. I've never made it for the lunch buffet but the Monday / Tuesday evening buffet is always a great last minute grub grab. Within minutes you can shoveling it in and...if tempted...rather distracted, there's even salad bar for those who...well...eat salad. ;). read more

In the four years we've been getting take-out from Village Pizza in Corrales, roughly 80% of our orders have been wrong and/or were missing items. We kept going back, because everyone makes mistakes and we wanted to support the business, but last night was the last straw. We won't be giving them any more of our money. Customers shouldn't have to unpack everything to check for accuracy before leaving with their order. If you choose to give them your take-out business, be sure to open every bag and every food container before you leave to make sure items aren't missing or have the wrong ingredients (toppings, dressings, etc.). Confirming the list of items you ordered with the person who hands you your food isn't enough. Be especially cautious if you're trying to avoid foods someone is allergic to. We're disappointed to have to cross a local business off our list, but we just can't trust them to get it right. We've given them plenty of chances. We're done. read more

Being a Corrales resident and a supporter of Corrales businesses, I really didn't want to write this review. And this poor rating is not about the quality of the pizza. It's about total disorganization in handling customers "to-go" orders. My wife went in the day before Super Sunday to see if she could place an order to pick up at 5:00 the next day. They told her "to go" orders don't work that way - you have to call them in the same day, and you can't specify a time. You have to pick up 40 minutes after your phone call. Not a big problem. They gave her a menu to take home. The next day, she calls in the order using the phone number she was given, and they said "come in 40 minutes". So she did that and there was no pizza. And why? Because the phone number on the menu they handed her was for the OTHER location at Coors and Montano. They didn't offer any kind of alternative like perhaps "we'll get one going right now for you if you don't mind waiting". So she just gave up and came home, not wanting to drive that far, and we made hamburgers at home. Needless to say, we'll never do "take out" again from Village Pizza. Their quality is fine, and probably worth the high prices. But for take out orders, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. read more

Let me start by saying in the past, I'd probably driven past Village Pizza a thousand times and never stopped for no real particular reason. Yesterday, after twelve days in self imposed quarantine, my wife suggested the three of us pile in the car and practice some responsible social distancing, AND try a new restaurant. We all agreed on pizza and decided to give Village Pizza a try. We figured we'd drive out to Corrales, pick up the food, and find somewhere nice to park, sit in the car, and eat. My wife pulled up the menu and she went with a pepperoni and mushroom calzone, the boy and I went with a pep and mushroom pie, extra sauce, regular crust. We utilized their walk up window. Let's start with the crust: I'm fifty four and have eaten pizza my whole life. This crust was new to me. It was light and easy eating, but it was also a big part of the overall taste. That crust was delicious. Our dogs love pizza night in the house cause they know they're getting the remains of my crust, not if we're getting pie from Village Pizza!! Another plus, I like extra sauce on my pie, and they ran their sauce, which is delicious, all the way to the edge of the crust. My wife's calzone was also delicious, full of pep, mushrooms and ricotta, which is my wife's favorite part of the calzone. All in all, a great and tasty way to spend a day under quarantine, and we can't wait for this pandemic to blow over, so we can go in and sit down and enjoy some apps and salads, and drinks . Came here for a retirement party. We had the back room to ourselves, but the rest of the restaurant was crowded. The floors were a little slippery and several times someone had caught themselves from slipping. We were seated at long tables and had unlimited access to the soda machine. It took awhile for us to order because there was so many of us, but wait staff was every efficient considering the sheer number of us. I ordered a customizable calzone with bacon and green chile, $7.50 for the calzone + $0.99 for each additional topping). Others at the table had ordered spaghetti or pizza specials. Their patio on a nice day/evening alone is enough to get me to cancel all my plans and enjoy my pizza and beer outdoors. Their patio is enclosed and it's perfect if you have a little ones (which I do). Service is good typically but if they are busy you might have to flag your server down for any extras, refills, etc. They usually have a pretty good selection of local beers on rotation. Remember, I'm a,pizza and beer kinda gal. However, they offer a wide selection of beverages - alcoholic and non. On most days they have a buffet that is quite good for the price point. Horrible experience!! We waited 40 minutes to get our drinks after sitting down. Our waiter Will forgot to bring out our appetizer and had another waitress bring out our pizza. He asked if we wanted our appetizer after we were finished eating our food. Which I declined the appetizer. I went to go pay for my food and was told by Will that he was not going to charge me for the drinks and only the food. Once I went to go swipe my card he said he included the soda on my tab. Will walked away while the receipt was printing and I had to ask another employee to give me my receipt. Because Will was no where to be seen. I was baffled at what kind of business they are running. I will not be going to village pizza after an experience like this. What a rude way to treat your customers. I thought local restaurants are supposed to have exceptional customer service. This local restaurant fails to provide decent customer service. I have a better chance of getting good customer service with a food chain that also will be honest on how much they are charging. We've been getting our weekly dose of Village Pizza throughout Covid and I don't think I could live without it. Pizza Hut, dominoes, dions do not compare. We love to get Greg's ABQ Magazine combo for mom and dad and pepperoni for the kids. The crust is super tasty and the ingredients are far superior to any other pizza chain. Shop local!
