Me and my best friend wanted nachos so we decided to try the Hopper since they are close by and we wanted nachos that were Big Enough to share and these did not disappoint. They were served on a huge pizza tray and were loaded with a bunch of delicious ingredients and 2 salsas. They were so delicious and hit the spot perfectly. I had a coke with Grenadine and my friend had a margarita. My coke was Crisp and Delicious and exactly what I was wanting. My friend had a Margarita which she said was nice but lacked more alcohol. I don't drink so I can't confirm. Our server was super cool and hip and she took care of us from start to end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we walked in at opening we were the only ones there but it soon got packed and lively in there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice - the restroom was clean and overall we enjoyed ourselves a lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back for another girls lunch

Sunday, March 12, 2023. Dinner. This pub used to be called the Blue Grasshopper and a great place to see live music. We hadn't visited since they re-opened and changed the name. They had live music, a two-man band that sang some covers and sounded quite good. They had the lead singer for Coalesce Blue join them for some songs and he has a great voice. They sometimes play the Hopper, so peek at the schedule and check out Coalesce Blue. Look at their website for upcoming band dates: https://www.thehoppernm.com/?fbclid=IwAR2wcFjJ_e-Qcy20fTsWr8qVRCZh9UxXkf-VpQLH9ij4Rp53O8UCW8ia_-c We ordered the 13" Greg's Special Pizza, which came with spicy sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, Hatch green chile, pizza sauce, green and black olives and mozzarella/provolone cheese for $18. This pizza happened to be a perfect size for two people to polish off. The wood fired oven created a perfect crust. My wife said she liked it more than Village Pizza. I disagreed with that bold statement, but it was a really good pizza pie. They are generous with their toppings. We paired the pie with some pints. I had the Rio Grande Outlaw lager ($5) and two pints of the Marble Cerveza ($5 each) with lime wedges. My wife drank the Kiltlifter ($5) and De La Vega Pecan beer ($6). All of our beers were on tap, and I'm sorry to say, just a bit under-carbonated. If they could increase the carbonation to the beers these pub would be 5 stars. If you want a place to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening, listening to live music, enjoying some pints and eating good pizza than this should be your spot!

Drink selection is decent I think, but the pizza is not my favorite type. Thin crust brick oven style; good for keeping the meal on the light side. Appreciated the atmosphere with plenty of TVs and decoration. I like the size of the bar. No complaints about the service.

Great pizza! The best crust! Excellent beer selection, they have more taps and most breweries! Very cool place!

This was my first visit to Hopper Pub in Rio Rancho. I was interested in hearing the live music by the Martini tones, and ended up really enjoying the pub and restaurant experience. It is a small and intimate venue, with relaxed dress code. There was a wide age range in the crowd, with some people choosing to have their small children along. Personally, I like it when a pub has a family type atmosphere. The menu choices are salads, various pizzas, beer, and cocktails. Their servers were friendly and attentive, I was waited on and served fast, and the pizza was delicious. The Martini Tones specialize in surf music and play instrumentals. In a word, they are excellent. Certainly a nostalgic wave hit me as they played Green Onions, apache, Endless Summer, and other songs from a bygone era. It was particularly refreshing to me that the audience applauded after every song. These find musicians deserve that attention and recognition, and they got it! I absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for an evening of absolutely pure fun.

Another great night here. Coalesce Blue is playing again and will playing each Sunday in September from 3-6pm. Come out and support our local groups. Beer is still outstanding and the Zozobra Salad with Chipotle Ranch Dressing was excellent.

Let me start by saying I USED to come here a lot. I must admit as well, that was a long time ago…read more I imagined that I could expect the food to be just as good as I remembered it, but it wasn't. Made a visit back recently with some friends on one of our girls nights out to catch up. The visit was great, and I am glad that we get a chance to get together every month or two. Just not sure we'll pick O'hares again. I ordered a cup of the french onion soup and the sliders from appetizer menu. The french onion soup was good, I can say that. The sliders is a different story. They came with six sliders. That was literally it. Meat and bread. Nothing else. No cheese, no garnish, not even sliced pickles. That alone was $17! I was shocked when I saw the bill! You can typically order a burger with all the fixings and fries for that price or less. Our service was fair. Our server was nice enough and checked in on us. But the food was very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend them, but you could may have a better experience than me. Just don't order the sliders! Then, to top it off, after ordering dessert, we are chit chatting and finishing our drinks. We slowly start to notice that the servers were grabbing their purses and heading to the front. Apparently they had been closed for almost 30 minutes but no one came to inform us that they were closed for the night! LOL! Silly place.

I got a salad and it was OK but very expensive. Looked at the menu and didn't really see anything that looked bad but didn't see anything that really jumped out. Overall, I felt like the place was clean and the service was good. Everybody was nice. I just felt like the food was average and overpriced. There are too many options for me to want to return here. Your mileage may vary.

Our server was quite busy, but he did an amazing job. The food was quite delicious and filling. We were a group of 4 and we shared 2 apps with our Harp Lagers! Hit the spot! Sunday Lunch at O'Neil's - Ticket #27…read more Our Sunday lunch at O'Neil's started promisingly but unfortunately fell short on service follow-through. We were seated quickly at 12:05, and our server promptly took our order and brought water, noting that our food would be "out right away." That seemed reasonable, as both items we ordered -- the corned beef and the turkey jack sandwich -- are typically straightforward and quick to prepare. However, the timing unfolded quite differently. By 12:20, one of our glasses was empty, and no straw had been provided despite an earlier request. When the server checked in, I asked again for a water refill and the straw; both were finally delivered, along with another assurance that our food was "coming right out." At 12:30 -- twenty-five minutes after ordering -- the server again repeated that phrase, only this time adding that "some things take longer than others," even though tables seated after us were already eating. Our meals finally arrived at 12:45 -- nearly forty minutes after ordering. To the restaurant's credit, both dishes were excellent: the corned beef was tender and juicy, and the turkey jack sandwich tasted freshly made and served hot. But while the kitchen clearly delivered on quality, the front-of-house experience did not match that same care. The repeated "right away" comments, the lack of proactive attention, and the absence of even a brief apology for the delay made the experience feel inattentive.O'Neil's has great food potential, but stronger time management and more genuine communication from servers would make a world of difference.
