[[HIGHLIGHT]]Village Pizza has been a Corrales staple since the 80's. It has a super charming vibe, great for groups and has excellent pizza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's all adobe and wood beamed ceilings with lots of natural light, adobe fireplaces and stained glass windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pizza is excellent, they have a wide variety of topics and they do a monthly specialty pizza and they get really creative with their choices- this month we tried out the green chile mac and cheese pizza which was super bomb. All the folks that work here are super nice and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only qualm with them is that they no longer have their buffer for lunch, and it's almost too quiet- they should maybe have just low music so it's not so silent![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place has been on my list of places to try for a long time. Glad we finally got to go there! You order at the counter and then someone brings your food to you. Staff was all very friendly. Since the 3 of us have very different tastes in pizza toppings, we each got a small pizza. My daughter got pepperoni and extra cheese, my son got pepperoni and mild sausage and I got the dust devil, which has red chile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor patio was very cozy, even with a wobbly table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fountain drinks are bottomless. Would definitely go back.

My job has taken us to live in many cities. From 2003-2005 we lived in Rio Rancho. Back in those days, Corrales wasn't as touristy as it is now and they only had a couple of restaurants and a bar. Our son was a toddler and as a family going to Village Pizza was a weekly tradition specially during their weekly buffet. They offered pizza, salad and the Green Chile Chicken Soup. 20 years later, our son now in his late 20s is back living in Rio Rancho. When my wife and I come up from Las Cruces to visit him, Village Pizza is a must visit. We still believe that their pizza is one of the best we ever eaten. My wife always orders the Green Chile Chicken Soup. I know that now they have another location but visiting Corrales is enjoyable. When friends come to the Albuquerque area, we always recommend them Village Pizza. They offer an Equestrian Discount if you ride your horse over and hitch up. Area to hitch your horse on a side, see photo. I would love to see someone riding a horse taking a pizza home!

As someone who has been coming here since I was little (had a b-day party here like every other regular) what the hell happened to this place? Now when you walk in you order at the front and have to grab your drink, plates, napkins and silverware to take back to your table. They give you a number to bring your food to you, but all the staff are still walking around veryyyyy lost and guessing on what you ordered. I attached a picture of what their breadsticks look like bro. Pizza is still great (thank the lord) but no one comes to check on you (even with an overhead of about 10+ employees and they're all kinda hanging around) and you're basically at a fast food place. For how much they charge...we're definitely not returning to what USED TO BE a great neighborhood joint.

I had small 12 inch pepperoni hot green chili pizza and a house dinner salad with ranch dressing. It was so good. I had good service. The guy at the cashier was nice. I really miss their buffet.

Great homade pizza without the corporate razzmatazz! The carnivore is my go to with the chopped garlic.

We walked in, and the place was a little crowded, but we were still sat pretty quickly. I liked the atmosphere of the place because it seemed very open, inviting, and had a certain local charm to it. As soon as my dining companion saw the people around us getting their food delivered it looked so good she no longer remembered what we came for and we ended up ordering something completely different. We didn't wait long for our waitress to come over. She was very nice and attentive I asked her for a drink recommendations, and she mentioned some good ones. Considering the day before was New Year's Eve and I probably should've took a break from drinking, I said say screw it and got something light. It was a blood orange cider, and it was delicious, I was not expecting it to taste like that! Unable to make our minds up, we decided to split a salad and pizza. For the salad I wanted to get the Valley grande, but we compromised and got the brazos which was essentially a Caesar salad. That's how it was huge. We had enough to share and more, it was also tasty, the dressing. You could tell was definitely house made. For the pizza we decided to get a split half truchas and half chimayo (my half) and it was amazing the flavor was great and the topping fresh. Although next time I will ask for well done. On to dessert. The best thing we ordered all night was the Apple calzone. It seemed to be the size of a little football and came with two scoops of ice cream. I could tell it was made to order and it was absolutely delicious! We cannot wait to go back.

These days it's very rare for me to be in the Rio Rancho/ West Side of Albuquerque but after my favorite restaurant with amazing calzones closed up shop at the beginning of the year, I found myself looking for around for a decent calzone. With fond memories of this place I decided to give em a shot. The restaurant was very busy when I arrived. Luckily I ordered ahead. Got myself a pepperoni calzone with extra cheese. I walked in bout 20 minutes later and the staff had it ready to go. I thought great that's awesome. That was until I got to the car and inspected it. I knew this thing was coming home but I was really hungry so I decided to at least get a couple bits in. The considering the calzone was prepped pretty quickly after I'd ordered I have to say it wasn't very warm and the sauce was way too thick. The crust and the flavor overall didn't impress me too much I admit. It wasn't until I got home and dug further into it I realized the center was not cooked well. The center had not melted at all. There were strands of shredded cheese piled on pepperoni you can clearly tell had not melted at all. I should have called to complain but by then an hr had passed so I ended up throwing it in the oven to melt finish cooking it. Even then I wasn't impressed. Considering how expensive it was at almost $20 I expected a lot better quality. For the same price I could've gone to another pizza joint and ordered a pizza instead that I know would've been way better. Overall between the crowded tables and bustling traffic inside, I'm sorry to say they miss the mark on this one. After this experience it's no wonder I haven't thought to return in so many years. I unfortunately won't be returning anytime in the near future.

Let me start by saying I USED to come here a lot. I must admit as well, that was a long time ago…read more I imagined that I could expect the food to be just as good as I remembered it, but it wasn't. Made a visit back recently with some friends on one of our girls nights out to catch up. The visit was great, and I am glad that we get a chance to get together every month or two. Just not sure we'll pick O'hares again. I ordered a cup of the french onion soup and the sliders from appetizer menu. The french onion soup was good, I can say that. The sliders is a different story. They came with six sliders. That was literally it. Meat and bread. Nothing else. No cheese, no garnish, not even sliced pickles. That alone was $17! I was shocked when I saw the bill! You can typically order a burger with all the fixings and fries for that price or less. Our service was fair. Our server was nice enough and checked in on us. But the food was very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend them, but you could may have a better experience than me. Just don't order the sliders! Then, to top it off, after ordering dessert, we are chit chatting and finishing our drinks. We slowly start to notice that the servers were grabbing their purses and heading to the front. Apparently they had been closed for almost 30 minutes but no one came to inform us that they were closed for the night! LOL! Silly place.
