The bar is an extremely popular local watering hole where you can catch up on all of the local news and gossip and generally be extremely entertained by the fantastic long-standing staff. It's a family run place, which goes a long way, and they have a great beer selection both on tap and in cans and bottles. They also have a full bar. They do fun trivia nights and have live music regularly. The prices are also unbelievable in this day and age and allow almost everyone to be able to actually go out to lunch or dinner and get a decent meal without breaking the bank. Even when they get fancy beers, despite my own urging, they refuse to raise the prices because they want everyone to be able to continue going there. Case in point, their lunch special literally cannot be beat and feeds a big chunk of the community on a regular basis. Lastly, despite the many recent reviews claiming they only take cash, they definitely take credit cards. Sure they were late adopters, but they have been doing so for at least a year or two. I use a credit card there frequently. They do charge a fee, but so does pretty much everyone else on the planet at this point. This place is a gem and an important fixture in our wonderful town.
