Solid venue but when it gets packed, ITS PACKED! service could be a bit better as they were definitely short staffed last night and it took over 20 minutes for drinks. It is a pricy venue and they have you keep a card on file. Other than that, I've seen amazing cover bands here. I can't speak on the food but the drinks, while pricy are delicious! YYNot was incredible!

Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building. You can see the artists coming in and out with their gear from the lot. First time here and purchased VIP tickets to see the Killer Dwarfs 40th anniversary tour. $27 per very reasonable, but not quite sure just what we paid for. Everyone inside had access to everywhere except one back seating area that opens up when the capacity is larger. Lesson learned. Just go GA. The security guy working the door was super cool and very informative. Sadly, the girls checking us in was miserable and rude, unable to answer anything about the space. Sound was very good. Loud too. A great space out back to sit and they were selling empanadas that were quite good (Buffalo chicken). Safe area and lots going on around town. Keep in mind, most places to eat close by 9 on Sundays. I'd gladly catch another show here when another act of interest comes to my attention.

All The Blink Things (you can figure out who they're covering).

Not all establishments have clever names. Sometimes all you need is a street and a number (A.K.A. address). So when you wonder where 89 North got theirs from, well, you can figure it out pretty quick. Move beyond that, and you'll find a nice little music hall worthy of checking out. This past Saturday, a few buddies and I closed out our night with a little cover band music, compliments of 89 North. Location-wise (if you're directionally challenged), it's right off Main St. in Patchogue and makes for easy access after a meal in said town. Think of it like going to the Paramount in Huntington...well, it's not as good as that. But don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my night at 89N as it's smaller than the Paramount and offers a more intimate concert experience. Tables and high tops give you access to seating and there's enough standing room to get up close and personal with the live tunes. Need a drink? Well of course there's a bar, decent in length and respectable in beer selection (Harpoon Winter Warmer, thanks). There's also a "food bar" complete with fried options that'll help kick any tiny munchie you might have during the show. We were pleasantly stuffed from dinner so maybe next time on that. Musically, the audio was great and you can see the stage from almost anywhere in the place. As for the show itself, although some of the bands were a little...meh (I'm talking to you, New Divide!), for the price ($11), it was totally worth it. Overall, 89 North is a nice venue to spend a night at, especially if you just like to listen to music. You might not see any big time acts pass through 89's doors, but that shouldn't stop you from visiting. Just remember the name, and you'll easily find yourself here.

The cover to get in was a bit pricey....in addition to some of the drinks I got which were mostly filled with ice.

My Dad was chomping at the fucking.bit to hear some jazz tonight and as a result, we found out about this place. One of my favorite things about visiting nOLA is the jazz and I almost feel like it's the twilight zone that i can have the live Jazz experience in my home town. Not only that, but everything about our experience, start to finish, was amazing. They enticed us with the live jazz outside..As all of their tables were taken up, our initial strategy was to sit at the bar and hopefully be able to hear the music from inside. Not only did they have a whole band INSIDE the bar playing for those patrons, but we were given the choice of them literally building us a table outside. You can't really go wrong with either choice but due to the absolutely perfect weather outside and my mother's panic phobia about covid, we elected to sit outside. They straight up brought a table and four chairs outside for us to enjoy the band playing outside. The temperate fall air and lively Jazz is an ambiance that is few and far between. We had initially planned on just ordering drinks but were selling what we were buying and dropped a few food menus and had us eating out of their hand. They legit had MOZARELLA FRIED ZUCCHINI B LOSSOMS, some delicious vegetarian ravioli, arancini, and honestly whether you're into steak or farro and kale salad, they can push your.buttons, Both of my parents ordered a spring-roll-like appetizer, one with salmon and one with veggies (extra brownie points for the vegetarian option). My parents some how missed the fact that they were ordering from the appetizer menu and were disappointed in the portion size but absolutely adored the dish. . Even though I talk up and down for about 99% of the time about the fact that I'm "on a diet now" I'm actually full of shit when it comes down to the wire and I absolutely could not resist ordering their fried mozzarella zucchini blossoms which were enveloped in a delicate but delicious outer crust with creamy cheese and zucchini blososms. They were served with an orgasmic tomato sauce with a little touch of pesto. The food was the perfect complement to the musi. They have an interesting cocktail menu as well. I couldn't resist ordering their Frenesi with tequila, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, apple bitters, hard cider. This was served in a cocktail glass with little floating (what I'm assuming is cinnamon fits that almost looked to be sparkles. It was such a beautiful drink and had such a unique flavor. GF initially ordered the All That Jazz with rye, calvados, Demerara syrup, peychaud's bitters,, ango bitters, and up in smoke however we were informed that they did not have all ingredients to make this drink. She went with her second choice, the Jam Session with bourbon, lemon, stone fruit syrup, peychaud's orange peel, Brandie's cherry. I tried this and as a strong bourbon drink, wasn't my immature palate's favorite but I appreciated the combo of bourbon and fruit flavor. Our server was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as excellent as it could possibly be. My Mom was literally obsessed with him and couldn't stop commenting on how well he was taking care of us. Huge shout out to that man right there. I'm so excited that this place exists and GF and I have already decided to keep the local taxi on speed dial for further visits to this place. PS-sorry if this is filled with typos but I was literally too lazy to wear glasses while writing this so I am just typing and hoping for the best.

We got seated at a pretty small table and asked if we could move to a larger neighboring table and they told us no, that it was reserved for another party (which either was inaccurate or they never arrived because the table sat empty for the two hours we were there). The waitress (a teenage girl dressed in our opinions too scantily, which apparently is the dress code for employees here) did not know the menu well and had to return to our table to ask one of our party members how to spell the drink he ordered because she couldn't find it in the computer (note: it was a very basic spelling/pronunciation of a drink). We were incredibly nervous about placing food orders after that confusion, but fortunately all of our orders were accurate. We came here because I wanted to try the Cap'n Crunch chicken which was a disappointment because it tasted like regular fried chicken. The rest of our food was good, and decent-sized portions. The place was pretty busy and there was to be live music. Something happened though, because the band only played one song and did not resume after that during our visit. The country music played in lieu of the band was quite loud, along with the busy restaurant, so the ambiance was soon a bit loud for my taste but overall good for business that there were so many people there. There were also TVs playing sports during our visit, and I found that many people were fixated on that instead of their dining companions, which I find disappointing in humankind. I'm not in a hurry go back here because I disliked the busy ambiance and the service wasn't great. The food was good but not especially healthy. It was a unique experience for sure; one my friends and I will not soon forget.

The performers brought a ton of energy and talent to the show. This is a high-energy and interactive production. The songs are picked by you - the audience - but performed skillfully by the pianist/singers. They keep the energy high, mitigating any slow songs or vibe killers. IN other words, dueling pianos has all of the fun of karaoke night, but without the bad (slow songs, lame singers, etc.) I had a front row seat right next to pianist Mark. He is very skilled, and a master multi-tasker, fielding requests, handling money, managing apps. Best performances of the night for me were "Golden" (from K-Pop Demon Hunters) sung by Sean, and NY, NY - Sinatra performed by Mark. I enjoyed when Mark passive shamed the customers who paid $100 for them to perform a Phish song. Loved the drummer also! Sound, stage, and lighting were all very professionally done. Food/beverage service was very good. I enjoyed a cold Hazy Little Thing IPA and Johnny Walker Black on the rocks.
