Brought my wife's car in for repair. They replaced engine mounts. After the mounts were installed, we heard unfamiliar sounds from the engine. They dismissed it. After a couple of requests to look at it , they finally agreed to. By this time my wife didn't feel safe driving the car , so we brought it to another shop. They found a broken bolt and a stripped bolt on the engine mount and a few other issues. While waiting for the result of the issue with my wife's car I had brought my car in and had struts and a control arm replaced. One strut failed out of the box and the control arm failed less than 2 months later. They couldn't get me in right away so I drove on this for a couple of weeks. When they discovered the control arm had failed the woman who answers the phone TOLD me they need to replace a CV joint that had gone bad on that same side. She didn't ask me, she told me they were doing it and it would cost $600. When I asked if this could have been a result of the faulty control arm , she immediately dismissed it. When I asked her to verify this with the mechanic she said she would but never called back. When I called back she clearly didn't like my questions and she responded with "If you don't like our service you can go somewhere else" in her occasional condescending tone. I asked to speak with the owner she told me that he would tell me the same thing. I asked to still speak to the owner but have not received a call. The bottom line is that it appears they use inferior parts and they are getting sloppy, which is disappointing. But they must be extremely busy because it's clear they don't need to care about customer service like they used to.

A MassDOT driver stopped to check on me and gave me Thomas' number from ADR Towing, saying he'd take good care of me. Thomas showed up quickly, was friendly, and genuinely concerned about my situation. He even looked under the hood and found the issue right away. Unfortunately, it couldn't be fixed on the spot, so he towed me to Eastside Classics (reviewed them as well), where he keeps his equipment. They got right to work on my car and had me back on the road within an hour. What really stood out was that Thomas went above and beyond--he could have just towed me, taken payment, and left it at that. Instead, he made sure I got real help, which saved me from scrambling for a rental the next morning. If you ever need a tow, I can't recommend Thomas and ADR Towing enough.
